No, you can't. Because ToG is "everyone lives in a giant tower and the whole point is to climb floors and get stronger."

The world is not built upon, at all. We know nothing of the world.

What you MEANT TO SAY (unless you're retarded) is that the character development is top-notch, which I would agree with, though I'd say the progression is slow and there are too many pointless characters.

It's fucking hype. Anna's doll got absolutely destroyed quicker than I thought. What separates soul shit like Sachi's from regular shinsoo shit? It's like the same thing and Sachi went through hundreds of years for his thorn thing. Anna probably has something in store since there's no way she got this far just like that.

The mention of Vicente's fighting style was interesting too. Defense which means when combined into White, would have the superiority of Hoaqin and Vicente together.

Also, the soul jar can melt stuff but it can't melt the lighthouses. That's was something interesting to note. I was under the assumption that lighthouses used shinsoo to create its shield.

Hell Train was my least favorite part so far, but the pacing has picked back up again, and this stuff with White is great.

Though having Yuri on the sidelines is kind of silly, though I understand it from a plot standpoint.

Wish Hwa Ryun did more though, she's always been Best Girl in my book. I hate Emily for making her useless the most, other than being a super convenient tool for the villains to pull shit out of their asses.

True, I just found it odd how she was an extremely crucial part of the previous arcs while being largely in the background, yet is unable to do much now that she is an active member of the party. I understand the plot reasons, just saying the sudden shift was a bit jarring.

The LINE translations have improved with the most recent chapters (I wish they would fix their earlier translations, I can't stand reading them), but they still mess up quite often.

Like that one chapter where they literally removed whole pages so people were confused as hell about the rules for the dollar system in the current game. They put them in later, but they could have at least delayed it, or put up a disclaimer.

I don't think ToG has great world building, particularly because, if I remember right, most of the world is unknown/undiscovered and they don't actually bother explaining THAT much. Not bad because it retains a sense of mystery.

But, well, I basically dropped this during that arc where there was a weird kid with hand powers, and metal mask was starting shit, and Baam's thorn or whatever woke up. The pacing was losing me, and there were too many characters I didn't really care for/characters I did care for weren't really focused on. Not sure how I feel about the series, now.

Most of the world building is in supplementary material, this arc is kind of unique since it is actually delving into one of the mysteries brought up in the background information.

We've known about the Slayer White for a long time, but the main story is actually expanding on that story which is kind of neat.

World building can go either way, Fallout series is known for an excellent post-apocalyptic world which is portrayed to the player through direct interaction for the most part. You know what is in the world because you heard about it from characters you've talked to, or you experienced it for yourself.

On the other hand you have stuff like Demon Souls or Dark Souls where the world building is found mostly through things like item descriptions, and the like. The actual story doesn't give you much, but with the supplementary material that you search out for yourself, you find that the world is actually really in depth if vague at times.

TOG is kind of the same, but not really. The thing is that a lot of TOG's world related stories took place prior to Baam's story. The thing with Zahard entering the Tower, and eventually becoming the ruler, Urek entering the Tower in search of Phantominium, and all the stuff with FUG are all related to Baam's story but not the focus of it. Hence why TOG is in a bit of a weird position, that said the world is interesting enough for me just from the stuff the main story gives. You don't need all the background info, but it helps give a wider understanding of events.
