2016 is looking godlike compared to the shit that was 2015.
Jojo Part 4, D.Gray-Man, Silent Voice, Mob Psycho 100, FMP, Kizu, Soma, Relife, MHA, and etc.
Seriously what else would make 2016 even insane?
>201n+1 is looking godlike compared to the shit that was 201n
You faggots say this every year. EVERY FUCKING YEAR.
>D Gray Man
Shit for the longest time.
Faith in David is null.
Who knows about this one?
>more monogatari shit
anyone hyped about this didn't read the whole series
>new Berserk project
Probably won't be good, judging by previous adaptations.
>3D picture? You must be nu!
>all those "reasons NOT to kill yourself in 201n+1" threads
Nice try fitting in, Reddit.
>all those "reasons NOT to kill yourself in 201n+1" threads
That's not the same as this at all, but nice try.
D picture? You must be nu!
I was even giving you the benefit of the doubt, but if you're not a newfag and still posting fucking Gordon Ramsay images, I guess you're just cancer of the highest degree.
there was at least one CGDCT that was amazing each season though
Well it went to shit before the first major hiatus. I think right now it's released about four times a year. I can't believe anyone still follows it after all the problems it ended up having.
A-1 designs have dampened it for me.
Notice how OP's hyped for both Mob Psycho and Shokugeki? The fanbases are on the same level because they're mostly the same people.
That's like saying why the fuck would anyone follow HxH or Berserk because of all the shitty hiatus and never coming back.
It's called having a dedicated fanbase which D.Gray-Man has. It's nothing new.
>avoid buzzwords altogether and call it bad
Should I stop using terrible and all other words associated with bad? You have a problem with those buzzwords because you don't like being called them and that's because you accept and believe in them and don't want to be associated with those negative connotations.
And the words don't lose meaning, you dip. The meaning transforms.
>Seriously what else would make 2016 even insane?
>Seriously what else would make 2016 even insane?
This would require ufotable to get their shit together though.
You know what that's subjective because I thought it got better with the Millennium Earl's twist and the current A.W arc. Plus Past!Allen seems like a sneaky bastard.
Whether you think it's shit or not people love reading anything that's shit or not. Hell people still read garbage like Bleach or watch the same moeshit. So your opinion really doesn't matter.
I don't think 2015 was that bad, it wasn't great but it had some good shit that pandered to me like monster musume and etotama. It also had some series that I was previously interested in like wagnaria and norigami. I picked up some new anime and got to kill some shit on my back log so overall I'm not too upset over 2015. I hope 2016 has some more originals though.
>And the words don't lose meaning, you dip. The meaning transforms.
If they have a specific meaning that they serve better than other words and then that transforms to a general meaning that is served by many synonyms already, that's losing meaning in my book.
> You have a problem with those buzzwords because you don't like being called them and that's because you accept and believe in them and don't want to be associated with those negative connotations.
No, I have a problem with buzzwords because they get abused and tossed around at random. Call something /v/ if it's popular with /v/ or with the type of demographic associated with /v/. Don't call something /v/ just because you don't like it. Let's not start calling NieA_7 /v/ and Blood-C tumblr.
That's 4chan for you.
How not? Saying such a thing is practically like saying no opinion matters.
D Gray Man without a doubt lost a lost of its fanbase. I don't think I'm crazy for saying something changed and for the worse.
>mfw Silver Link literally made AOTD and it was CGDCT
10th ANNIVERSARY soon, maybe we'll get a
>no one reads it because they want to anymore
Tell that to the Bleachfags.
>10 year long hiatus
Considering how long it's been I'd say the series is doing really well for itself. It still has a dedicated fanbase which even I'm suprised considering how long this series has been in hiatus.
It lasted a long time before becoming really awful, so I suppose it makes sense that people were left to stick with it, but I can't say I understand it completely. I consider the series a huge disappointment.
Zutto Mae Kara Suki Deshita
Nitropplus New Project
Gakuen Toshi Asterisk
Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko Janai to Omotta
Fate Project 2016
Nanatsu no Taizai
Magi Sinbad no Bouken
Yeah, I typically will pick up a series, read it til the end of what's translated, and if I like it, I'll jot a note somewhere and every year or two I go through and check the progress on stuff. I don't have the patience for week to week shenanigans like I did when I was a kid. Monthly is even worse. I haven't read Conan since it was around chapter 500 or so; it's at what now? 900?
What the fuck is SnS, deafbitch? Did anyone ever even use its fucking English name?
And the threads for it were pure shit, with people talking about how many feels it gave them, then awful shipping and all other assorted nonsense. The only good thing about the manga were the middle parts, everything else was trash.
>and everything is confusing and terrible.
Not really. I recently reread it and it's a whole lot more comprehensive than I originally thought when I read the chapters as they came out. It's just very easy to forget the details because of all the hiatuses.
A series is only dropped if you have no intention of reading it again. I fully intend to read Conan, HxH, Berserk, and D.Gray Man once they're completed. I have many other series on hold too. I remember when Rosario Vampire came out, I read like 40 chapters and just recently (last year?) it ended and I read through the whole thing again. I was probably 200 chapters behind HSDK when it ended, and I made sure to finish it up when it ended. I still need to read through Naruto again, not that it appeals to me really, just I feel like I am obligated to see how it all turned out.
I generally enjoy it. Saying that if they make an anime for it, it'll be the OPM of the season, and by that I mean all of the fucking cross boarders are going to spam it on /a/ because capeshit action anime attracts them like flies to shit.
DGM manga still manages over 900k sale per volume in average, despite all the shit it has to deal. It can be shit but somehow gets a quite steady fanbase.
It's a miracle for the series to have new anime though.
>originals are better every single time
DGM fanbase is deseperated as hell. During the latest hiatus it has gotten to the point the nip fans held the challenge to redraw manga panel in anime style and pretend it's anime screenshot.
>DGM fanbase is deseperated as hell. During the latest hiatus it has gotten to the point the nip fans held the challenge to redraw manga panel in anime style and pretend it's anime screenshot.
I'm not sure what it's called. The original, but not the original LN design, the original anime design by their concept artist or whoever before the animation team gets their hands on it and meddles.
Don't forget Mai HiME return too
Three kind of results: deviantart tier, pixiv tier and those just don't get the point
If I remember correctly, someone had given up hope as far as drawing, designing and printing a 49th volume cover (manga is at volume 25)
WHEN do we get to know which studio will produce Berserk and D Gray man? I mean thats the whole shebang right there, depending on what studio gets them we can tell what kind of effort they're putting into these "rehashes"
If one of em gets BONES I'm happy, I rather like them.
Not a single word from Ufotable about HF.
>implying adaptations will make for a great year
adaptations will almost always be inferior to their source material. What we need for a truly great year is more original series that aren't made to boost manga sales
Financially not viable. Studios must make adaptions for production committees to get enough money, so that they can then try to make original anime shows.
The best thing would be to make adaptions with anime original material. This has the advantage of promoting the source material as intended, will have a large enough core viewerbase from the source material to perhaps ensure that the anime can be financially viable on its own, and enough fresh ideas to make anime viewers and source material interested in the anime itself.
Best source materials would be properties that allow a large deal of creative freedom to the directors, providing only characters and perhaps a setting that the show is based upon.
Then, there won't be any complaints from source material fans about the anime deviating.
>A-1 designs have dampened it for me.
At least pic related is doing the music. That's a good enough excuse for me to watch it.
Hopefully each season has a CGDCT show
God knows that we need more
I'm not saying any of these shows will be bad but I would hardly use them as a benchmark for how the year is gonna turn out especially considering of the 8 shows OP listed we have only seen even a tiny bit of footage from 2 of them.
There is just as much original anime as there were before, people just aren't talking about them because we don't know anything about them, of course people can only be hyped about adaptations before the release.
>That OST for the D.Gray-Man anime PV
Man is that OST fucking awesome. I hope they keep it in the anime.
IIRC her first hiatus was a result of lawsuit from Obata and Ohba over plagiarism of their manga.
>Ace Combat anime to go with the release of 7
>The protagonist is a Belkan Knight of the Round Table
The previous composer of the first series of the anime was the same composer who did Inuyasha.
It turned out pretty good.
Space Bros continuation would be pretty sweet.
Also, given the recent trend in video game adaptations, I'd like to see a Fire Emblem game get an animation.
I know that that one OVA exists, but the franchise has potential to be much more.
>four years since Horizon S2
>still no sign of S3, only idols and fatfuck wish-fulfillment
I don't know why I keep on living.
Wait, since when did a DGM new Anime get announced? Even if the Alma arc is horse shit, I'm a bit hyped for thel adapting the arc with the second level 4 that takes place just before now.
Oh shit didn't read the whole thing gomen senpai.
>The Traveling Clergyman arc got animated
>The Village Where the Witch Dwells arc got animated
If LFoS doesn't get animated I'm calling bullshit. It's one of the most important arc to the plot. Quarter of people not being able to understand what the fuck is going just because that thing only was mentioned in a few manga panels
Will 2016 the year Mai-Hime makes it's return
Passions of youth dog, remember being JYUANNUSAI is a blessing.
>FMP S4 means we might actually get some good FMP doujins
I want to lick Midori JYUANNUSAI
>show with the best worldbuilding of the decade
I'll fight you nigga.
Imagine if Sunrise did a mecha sci-fi action LN adaptation series that kind of played liked a Monogatari or less terminally sedate most of the time. This was of course back when they still did TV series aside from Gundam, Aikatsu and Gintama.
