This is very true, I'll give you that. I'm not saying it's perfect over here but at least there's more variety in terms of topics and the trolling is more amusing and less personal vendettas between users. I've seen some people literally stalk other users in MAL for months over a disagreement over which girl was best in FSN to the point where several accounts where made and user's IP was banned for spamming threads.

Yeah I use the clubs for good discussions. Like I said, you can have rational discussions but they aren't common. Overrated club is pretty decent for discussions. The clubs for specific series are usually circle jerks, other clubs are just for browsing deviant art pics. There's something for everyone I suppose. Still doesn't excuse the general boards and the obnoxious forum celebs on the site that storm certain threads and derail good topics.
