Not OP, but Cardcaptor Sakura was literally the first subbed anime I ever watched about 5 years ago. I immensely enjoyed it.

i fell into a week long coma from how boring the first 5 episodes were and put it back in my backlog

It's not bloat (except for maybe the FLAC, but coalgirls gonna coalgirls). The remastering is actually pretty god damn good. For comparison, the full discs are almost 400 GB, so a 70% reduction in filesize is actually quite good. If you still can't afford the filesize then just download the 720p, compared to any DVD rips floating around it'll still look like night and day quality wise. I highly recommend it.

True. I guess in that way, for me, it had the best pacing. With other shows, there are always instances where it's either "christ, hurry the fuck fuck!" or "dammit, hold your horses!" But Sakura is the only one I can think right off the bat that didn't raise that alarm for me.
