I'd say the last episode is a better ending, but the film is overall higher quality.
It doesn't beat the 36 episodes of character development in the series, but it was still one hell of an experience because the film built up on that.
You are so used to the main cast and the setting that the movie actually feels like going to a different country with some really close friends. It was the most immersive piece of media I have ever encountered.

I agree that the London trip is fabulous, and if the movie were just that, it would be a 10/10. Unfortunately, it drags on for another 40 minutes. It really adds nothing to the film besides turning it into a K-on conclusion experience, which I really didn't find necessary .

I personally enjoyed rewatching the scene, especially how it shows the hard work the other girls put into the song for Azusa.
I do agree that the scene was done better in the series. However I feel that making it just as conclusive as the final episode was necessary to close out the series as a whole.
