What do YOU think the One Piece is?
I feel like should One Piece ever come to a close and Luffy and co ever do find it the "One Piece" itself won't even be shown but made out to be this transcending object that we won't even know about or see. After this long into the series I doubt even Oda knows what he wants it to be at this point.
Saturnus, the Observer. The Collected Archive of the Fourth Race of Devils, those denied form in the Devil Fruits, the Djinn.
It's located on the moon, catalogs the entire world, and has done so for almost 1000 years, starting with the beginning of the Void Century. Gol D. Roger looked at the massive halls of the Great Machine, and decided to store all his wealth in there. Inside are mountains and mountains of gold, jewels, weapons, armor and other plunder.
The island people think would have the actual treasure, Raftel, is actually a big featureless island with little but carvings on the ground and an assortment of rocks. The reason the great pirates and the marines and all never try to stop anyone going to Raftel, is because they think Raftel's empty and Gol D. Roger was fucking with everyone. Of course, someone with the Poneglyphs all recorded can then deduce what rocks to move where and when and activate a device that lifts those in the center up to the Moon.
A single gold coin and a note explaining that friendship is the greatest treasure of all.
Oda planned the last chapter since the first, he has pointed out that no pirate has ever worn an eyepatch in the story, and that at the end of it, one will.
>ONE PIECE is at least 60% done. From now on, I'd like to restrain my desire to write many things. If I write what I want to, ONE PIECE will never come to an end.
ONE PIECE newspaper Vol.4 (2012)
ONE PIECE IS ROGER FIGHTING LUFFY TO TAKE HIS PLACE AS THE ONE PIECE SPAWNING ANOTHER SPIN OFF BORUTO
Oda said the one thing he knew from the beginning was the ending. The journey to get there is what he expands and adds on to as he writes the story. And if you don't believe Oda himself, his current editor said one of the first things Oda told him when he became his editor was the ending, too. All of Oda's past editors know the ending, this isnt anything really new.
The One Piece is the final piece of nicotine needed to induce a cardiac arrest to Oda's body and finally end this shitty shonen once and for all.
We all know when One Piece came out it was suppose to be a seasonal manga and that the original treasure was literally a bunch of riches on some island the crew found.
Now however it has to be some over the top outrageously powerful device bullshit for plot purposes. Fuck One Piece.
If One Piece is just a shitload of treasure and gold that would be boring tbqh.
>oceans all meet
>all blue is made
I want the series to end before he dies but it makes me kind of sad to think that he might come up with ideas that would be amazing but not be able to implement them.
Honestly, I just want the journey to just keep going.
You mean Gol D. Roger?
But yeah. Something kind of stupid. Roger was an incredible jackass.
I would say "it's the fucking hat" except it's clearly mobile, passed along as an heirloom, and you know, not on Raftel.
So he probably considered One Piece to be legit treasure or at least "a funny joke lol!" but the hat was what he considered a personal treasure, too. (If not actually more important than One Piece.)
>"I'd like to restrain my desire to write many things. If I write what I want to, ONE PIECE will never come to an end".
>spends 2 and a half years on Doflamingo, a minor villain.
It's either everything or nothing at this point. Either way it'll pan out the same. They'll open the door, look at the One Piece, and then lock it up again so that future generations can dream of finding it, thus continuing the age of pirates forever.
I love how, in the end Whitebeard still managed to flip the Marines off by dying at the hands of another pirate and not one of their own. I know he didn't plan it, but its still sweet the Marines didn't get to kill him themselves in the end
A pile of gold and precious stones, poneglyphs included.
Nico will read the glyphs and figure out the true history. After learning it, Luffy becomes determined to annihilate the WC. As the pirate king, he will lead his and BB's grand fleets to Mariejois' red line.
>Luffy and Blackbeard teaming up
That's blatantly not happening.
Both of them will fight over the direction the world takes after the fall of the world government in the middle of its civil war, interpreting the will of the ancient kingdom and Roger in two different ways.
They've always been mirrors with Teach being a corruption of the traits shared by the D's.
