No idea. Supposed to come out sometime mid-month, but who knows when someone will actually buy it and scan it, let alone translate it. Be prepared to wait a while longer, I'd say.
How is it every time I start watching RWBY on my computer that a RWBY thread always pops up here on /a/? It's like /a/ is reading my mind!
Watching the Japanese dub of it for the first time now.
I think it's already come out, but nobody has bothered. I suppose the first chapter came out so quickly because it was new, but those who might translate it are likely to put it lower in their schedule.
Some of the wording though is different. Such as Yang saying "You monster" in the original english version. What she really said in the jap dub was "I will never forgive you!"
What does this look like a doujinshi face? You know, from [The Job of a Service Committee Member]
To be fair that's exactly what a RWBY manga needs.
RWBY is a series that has an interesting world, interesting characters, and an interesting premise, and then does fuck all with them to some poor CGI animation. I hope the manga fixes what's wrong with this series because it has more potential than people give it credit for.
Well the red chapter manga adaptation was pretty badass. Ruby was so cheeky while defeating the beowulfs.
Also I actually like the cgi fights. the fights done by Monty were amazing imo. especially in red chapter and yellow chapter. Also the fight with the nevermore! Cgi can do stuff that animation can't ya know?
That smirk. She's gonna be a heartbreaker.
Most of the designs are noticeably different. Definitely not a bad thing
Velvet is mai waifu
Why not? It's everything anime with shitty cgi. The only negative I can come up with is the terrible music and overly simplistic characters and plot that wants desperately to be convoluded.
You might need to watch the show first to understand everything. The manga is gonna be covering the secrets behind the red, white, black, and yellow trailers...which is another thing you might have to watch first.
Maybe I'll give it try with the Japanese dub.
That definitely is one of the reasons I haven't watched more than the first episode. A lot of the cast are just people they took from in house and they are not good voice actors. I imagine the professional Japanese VAs are much better.
But what is wrong with watching this anime?
>manga made by a Japanese in Japan
You're one confused faggot.
all these virgins getting mad at shit they haven't even read/watched
I lost my faith in /a/ once I found out they were fans of SAO and Accel World. I don't care crappy RWBY is, it isn't as godawful as the two shows referenced, especially AW. That show is clearly self-insert fantasy garbage, yet you faggots still gobble it up while claiming to have taste? Fuck you, faggots.
I'm talking about the RWBY main doing better in volume 3. Especially Kara and Lindsay. They've gotten better. Barbara and Ayran still needs some work though. Yuri was excellent as Mercury last ep.
And that dead american's sad attempt at anime actually got better sales than some of the shows that /a/ laps up.
Not to mention it actually got a manga.
I wish anon's sad attempt could even be remotely half as that.
Well Penny and Ruby have strong bond and she is important for the plot. Plus Blake will totally get her screen time once she encounters Adam. Its been heavily foreshadowed that they are going to encounter one another sooner or later.
I hated AW's MC. Damn, he was just so pathetic. Kirito maybe a Mary Sue, but at least he's okay looking and wasn't even socially awkward despite how many times he claimed he was. The male MC for Accel World had hot girls going for him despite being fat, short, and autistic, simply because he was skilled at playing video games. I just couldn't accept it because the whole situation doesn't seem at all plausible. It was such a self-insert concept that catered to only losers.
>Anime (Japanese: アニメ?, [anime] ( listen))[a] are Japanese animated productions featuring hand-drawn or computer animation.
even if i dont know it i could have just google it but i do. the thing is many in /a/ doesnt seem to accept this as anime. and is hated when we try to tell it is.
Anime is something produced in the east for the east, cartons are made in the west for the west. It's garbage manga doesn't belong here when its obvious its entire fanbase are retards who don't even use /a/
What is bad about the plot? The setting is pretty simple, world filled with monsters and magic, and series focus on x group that fight against said monsters and evil organizations, it's just as in your favourite chinese cartoons, and the characters are pretty charismatic, the only thing RWBY need is to no look like shit, which is happening with this manga.
Its not magic though. Magic exists but what hunters and huntresses use are aura, semblance and dust. Also Fanus people are not magic either. Everything has a science. Magic is only associated with the 4 maidens.
Evil Organization are anarchists.
>its a fun ride
It might of been that if it wasn't complete dogshit garbage that doesn't even try to break out of its mold and be anything other than cliche shit. Even your IS clones at least try to have something different about them
It looks like the manga is diverging, but it's possible it just takes place somewhere on the timeline that wasn't directly covered. The web series pretty much glosses over a whole semester, in 1 "Volume", so the manga probably fits somewhere before Jaune's arc.
Also, Ruby a cute, fuck everyone else.
> The web series pretty much glosses over a whole semester, in 1 "Volume", so the manga probably fits somewhere before Jaune's arc
Doesn't the tournament take place at the end of the semester? The manga is probably somewhere between when Weiss starts to tolerate Ruby and Forever Fall.
I'm actually not much of a Weiss fan, but the manga did seriously ramp up her cuteness level.
I completely disagree, coming from someone who could never watch another harem/battle/shounen whatever series ever again, I think RWBY is much better.
The girls are cute, the powers/weapons are cool, and it has decent lore and world building, that's more than enough for me. The story is a little mediocre/generic, the animations look silly at times, and the voice acting is horrendous, but I can forgive it for that.
The most recent anime of it's kind that I watched was Mahouka, and I dropped that in around 5 episodes because it was absolute garbage, RWBY in comparison is much better.
Maybe it's because it takes absolutely no risks, and stays as generic as possible, but if the episodes are enjoyable to watch despite that, then fuck it.
>Even your IS clones at least try to have something different about them
Stop being a faggot, I could of made the same fucking post in another thread about a different show, and you wouldn't have batted an eye, just because it's this show in particular you decide to sperg out, fuck off.
As if that's going to happen you dumb fuck, of course people are going to talk about the franchise as a whole, how the fuck is anyone going to stop that?
That's like going into a seasonal anime thread, but saying "no one discuss the source material, okay? this is an anime only thread!" how the fuck is anyone going to enforce that?
Stop being retarded.
Then it fucking goes on fucking /co/ you piece of shit. This isn't /co/, it's /a/. If you want to talk about your shitty western IP, take it to /co/. If the mods are going to force this garbage here, it pertains to the manga only, otherwise it fucks off to /co/ completely
For a shitty western writing they got some artwork.
>Shitty western writing
This is the type of nigga to say this then watch all 3 seasons of Samurai Jack on Blu-ray
Again, there's no way that's going to be possible, talk about the source material is bound to fucking happen, even if it's a thread for the manga.
I'm not saying it belongs here, personally I don't give a fuck either way, I'm just saying you shouldn't expect every single fucking person to follow the the rules.
Getting all sperg-y about it, and yelling 'IT DOESN'T BELONG HERE, IT'S AGAINST THE RULES!" just makes you looks like a massive faggot.
It's been established you can use it as reference, which is different than talking about it, for example "I wonder how Pyrrha is going to look, will she still use xxxx?" Stay salty.
If they aren't going to follow the rules, it fucks back off to >>>/co/ onto its shitty eternal general and stays there. It is as simple as that
If giving a shit about my home board makes me a massive faggot, so be it
Fuck it then, it's not getting through to you, keep spouting that shit till the end of time, and watch as threads like this keep appearing more and more frequently, getting upset every single time when you shouldn't have to.
It's scary jews are rich enough to pay Japs to make puke of this caliber now.
At least when they were remaking capecucks as manga and anime we could ask the mods to delete the threads, but now we have to endure this.
I feel like she'd be at least a little nervous fighting him alone in a huge crowd.
Anyone else getting a Naotsugu feel from his look in the manga?
Even if she was nervous, she would never show it as she'd finally be getting a chance to demonstrate what she could do. She's only nervous and awkward as fuck when it comes to stuff like casual conversation with strangers, not fighting.
I'm not sure it's okay to sexualize Ruby.
It's not from Deviantart though.
Yang and Blake are the only RWBYs that should be sexualized. Weiss and Ruby are pure.
>Yang and Weiss
Shit taste mate
And so it begins, pretty soon /a/ will join those fags at /co/ , attempting to write "smut" and "original characters".
We don't need 2 generals of the same shit.
ech. Smut I can understand (art is hard and so is commissioning an artist so just write about the fucking instead) but OC Donut Steele's are on a different level.
I'm not sure why my post got deleted. All I did was ask a question about OP's image.
Yeah no, seems like it triggers you with cartoons in /a/, I'll post more.
Read the first chapter of the manga, seems a bit off without animated fights, but I'll digress.
It's okay because jp Penny is 10/10
That I'll admit, I think it spawned from the constant bad English dub of animes, much like reading a book and then watching the movie version.
>lol it sold more than most Japanese anime m8
I-I want to cry, why,
I agree that we should only speak of the show in comparison to the manga. It's understandable to be irritated at these threads when people talk about things that are obviously not related.
