Why is this allowed?
Mosquitoes are harmless and did nothing wrong.
>leeches blood off of other living beings and gives them an uncomfortable itch afterwards and possibly a disease or two, maybe even additional parasites
the ecosystem would not be destroyed if mosquitoes were to go extinct
>>leeches blood off of other living beings and gives them an uncomfortable itch afterwards and possibly a disease or two, maybe even additional parasites
Sounds like human relationships.
There's nothing wrong with bloodsucking.
Because mindless insects that can't think or feel pain that leech blood and are responsible for more human deaths than any other creatures combined deserve to live in real life right, let alone a fictional one in a cartoon.
>they're also fucking annoying which is reason enough
MosquitoIDF please go, and take your Dengue and Chikungunya Fever with you.
TFW no MIDF image ;_;
But it also kills brown people, and brown lolis are cute
But they kill more people than any other creatures on earth, even humans.
I remember a bio professor telling us that in all seriousness you could completely wipe out the mosquito population and there would be no noticeable effects. Things that feed on them feed on enough other things that it wouldn't matter and the amount of disease they spread doesn't actually do anything to thin any herds in any sort of noticeable way, especially not humans. They're just one of nature's little annoying piece of shit. And actually there are lots of plants and animals that fit this bill. Lots of people for whatever reason think every little piece of the food web in every single biome is some integral part of some difficult balance to maintain, but that's really not the case at all most of the time.
Are you sure that's true? Which plants? I'd believe there's some weird mutant plant that relies on this but I wouldn't care and still wipe out the mosquitoes. It's not fit to base your survival on the presence of pests.
I must not have been clear sorry. I'm not saying they can't pollinate things, just that I don't really believe there's some mutant plant that relies on them for it. This article you're linking says exactly what I just said, multiple times even: that you could wipe the entire mosquito population out and various plants that they pollinate would keep on keepin on.
>Mosquitoes are harmless and did nothing wrong.
It's wildly theorized by scientists and historians these days that mosquitoes have killed more than half of all humanity that have ever lived ever.
Mosquitoes are the natural living enemy of everything that has blood in this world. They aren't just living vampires, they void their own disease ridden bowels into your blood stream as they suck your blood, hence why people get deadly sick and ill after bites from them.
Crane flies feed on Mosquito larvae by the way, lowering their numbers slightly.
Crane flies are your friends and they fight for freedom, truth and all that gay stuff. Not to mention they barely live three days naturally, just let them out to continue devouring the mosquito blight on mankind in kind.
We wouldn't mind them if they just sucked our blood and left nothing behind, instead, they suck our blood, put their spit into where they sucked from, and that leaves an itchy patch, and also spreads diseases.
If they don't leave the itchy patch and don't spread diseases, we wouldn't give a shit about them.
