Let's talk about ASSCLASS
This chapter was pretty entertaining.
c'mon guys, nobody else enjoys a bit of ass clas?
can't keep going, gotta go see star wars.
But it was fun!
The anime's worse than the manga, though.
Also speaking of which:
The 2nd season is 25 episodes as opposed to the previous 22 and Kaede/Flashback was basically confirmed
I'll dump since OP a fag
I prefer defeated in one chapter over defeated by one person.
Beating the enemy and not letting him "power-up" or before he manages to is refreshing. They planned it pretty well and the win went to them believably. None of that bleach shit.
When I saw the raws I was mad, but now that I know the context I actually like the "attack before power up shit"
Which is basically what they're supposed to do, end the conflict before it drags into a fight
It is the second best-selling series of WSJ. And there is no editorial pressure at all. Fight against the government was part of the plot since the beginning. Matsui writing is the real problem.
The main editorial trouble would be trying to get extended
While it's not in danger of getting axed I could see bullshit trying to the cow
Anyway speaking of bittersweet
>Matsui writing is the real problem
how he managed to fuck up to this extent?
I remember back in time when every chapter had a great cliffhanger
right now im having the same vibe as with Bleach, except that Matsui is hurry the shit out of the plot while Kubo drags it to infinite
*milk the cow
We officially Frieza time now
You have a cliffhanger on the last page of this chapter.
>While it's not in danger of getting axed I could see bullshit trying to the cow
As I said, these arcs were not invented at the last minute to make the manga last longer, they were planned from the start. And develop the fights in two or three more chapters don't would ruin the manga. The quick defeat of Houjou is not a surprise. The same happened with Takaoka and his friends, GoF, Asano and Kayano. Again, Matsui writing is the real problem.
Most people are waiting for the anime, but it spiked during Kaede
RIP archive ;_;7
>I want my fights to be gimmicky long pieces of shit
Good for you.
They're not trying to make the fights last long in the first place and they accomplished that as a team.
Yeah, I was disappointed that this guy got wrecked in a single chapter.
>"attack before power up shit"
Then I saw that this was their modus operandi and wondered why more protagonists don't do this. They even tased the guy while he was down for good measure.
I only like some color pages but the OP is decent
For an assistant of a gag manga, he's getting better when it comes to B&W but his color pages always make things wonky and the author knows his humans are shit
But it's endearing
Managed to snag this little gem from one of the older threads before the archive went down.
Salty Asano was fun to watch
Please, stop distorting things, no one here is talking about doing giant arcs, but about doing things a little more tough for the characters. They are almost perfect in everything they do. On the other hand, the enemies are always presented as intelligent and experienced people, but when they fight the class, they behave as useless. In any other manga that would be called power of friendship, in AC is teamwork.
I still have that along with this
That's kinda the point. We're near the end of the manga and the kids have been trained by a literal monster-class assassin. Of course they're going to stomp conventional threats, especially ontheir home turf.
While I'm really glad that the kids used a very methodical, efficient approach to taking down this guy, I do wish that he would've been more of a challenge. I generally like the way this manga does fights, but the outcome is usually very predictable.
Hoping GoF and Shiro don't disappoint.
>They are almost perfect in everything they do.
It's almost as if they've been training for this during the whole year, as well as home field advantage
>the enemies are always presented as intelligent and experienced people
Welcome to almost any piece of media involving good vs evil
I wish Arlong Park would burn already
Thankfully the anime didn't take after the manga's art style
I would be fine with the anime style if they didn't try to make the background characters CGI whenever Lerche thought people weren't looking
Seriously the CG background doesn't even bother me, but that along with cutting in-between jokes just irks me
Oh man, I really like this.
Still waiting for Pitch-Black Koro though.
>removing these glasses was the switch that turns on my predator mode
They fooled me good then, because I never noticed any of that. Not like I'm hard to fool or anything
The only glaringly wonky thing I ever noticed was Nagisa's hair in this scene
I have not read the manga: the post
>the process, the experience
You fucking disgust me
This very same thing you're bitching about, others have liked
Not every single thing is going to pander to (You)r positive notes
You shit on every major arc in this series yet still read it
Don't sexualize the Kayano.
The anime's twitter just said the PV trailer is today, along with the
likely to be shitOP.
The author secretly makes semen demon narrator/MCs.
>Then I saw that this was their modus operandi and wondered why more protagonists don't do this.
a long long time ago, like 20 years ago or so, my brother, who at that time was a bigger anime nerd than me, told me he read that the anime standoffs are inspired by samurai battles, in which they were so polite they would always let their opponents prepare first and monologue. Because once two opponents meet, it would be disrespectful to just attack him when he wasn't prepared.
>they behave as useless
This was foreshadowed. They scouted the kids out, and they were fooled by Karma's acting.
God Soldier's uselessness was literally explained in the chapter- he wasn't sure of if he should use lethal force, and was beaten before he could decide.
Pacing is one of the really nice things about AssClass. Keeps shit fresh, no villain overstays their welcome.
Though I agree, the Kayano arc was weird. She set up a great plan, and then abandoned it to do a 1 on 1 immediately after failing. It seemed too weak for all the fantastic setup that happened.
Maybe this season they'll actually have a decently choreographed dance routine instead of synchronized fist pumping and arm swinging.
Though I'll admit, I kind of liked the arm swinging.
>Maybe this season they'll actually have a decently choreographed dance routine instead of synchronized fist pumping and arm swinging
But that would require effort
Who needs that when you draw a few frames and retrace them on every student
Why would I argue against a fact?
Her suffering is as delicious as the food she eats.
