By simply not pausing the anime ever.
While I'm shitposting on /a/, the anime is running away from me. If I want to catch what's going on, I either need to shitpost faster, or limit myself to the intros, outros, predictable stuff and the slow bits.
Dude, if you actually find it interesting then you will want to watch the rest of it. Pausing an anime then forget about it seems like you are just forcing yourself through it.
I just have such high standards, I can't help it.
it's just a hobby, you're like those people on /v/ who cry about not being able to play games anymore
just fucking stop if you don't want to.
lemme guess your standards
>not a single male character
>no drama ever the girls all love each other
>plenty of touching and feeling
>1 girl has to sexually assault the others every episode
>at the end of the series nothing has changed, not even any character development
>the OP and ED has to be good
More like you having nothing else going for you in your life.
Anime and manga are ENTERTAINMENT. You know, these activities people actually look forward to engaging with after being productice for most of the day.
I don't? Why the fuck do you guys stop midway and distract yourself? Don't tell me its because you browse /a/ for being glad that somoene replied to your shitpost
I'm not sure if it's ADD, I need to feel I'm doing something even if it's pointless. Like right now, I'm replying to you while "watching" a game on tv and learning some kanji/words on ANki.
I'm curious, what do you watch then? Just stuff off of your backlog? If you still watch anime regularly then you'd run out of "enjoyable engaging shows" after a while, unless you haven't been watching anime very long.
Oh, I know. It also means it takes a lot more to watch something.
I think I should start by turning off the internet for most of the day, 4chan is my biggest time consuming hobby
>getting engrossed in a anime on such a small monitor
I just can't. I need atleast 23 inch at minimum to enjoy it.
You can have more than one hobby you know. I'm not that guy, and personally am up to date and enjoying most of the 15 or so shows I picked up this season, but even if you have run out of finished shows to watch then you can always do something other than watch anime. And you'd need to watch a whole fucking shit load of anime to be out of finished stuff to watch.
mangafox of course, the best place to read your manga
>wasting 36 minutes per cour on shit music and repeated animation sequences
Thanks so much.
I think it defaults to "My Pictures," but I changed it to my images folder at some point a long ass time ago.
Merry Christmas, anons.
>There are people who still don't use ShareX for screenshots
I only use sharex if I need to upload it at the same time, otherwise why bother if the player itself has a screenshot option
By having 2 screens. One screen for anime and another for shitposting. Not hard at all.
I want a second monitor, but I think it will take up too much room on my desk.
I have a problem /a/. Since starting winter break from uni I've been watching a lot more anime (and being on the computer more in general). My balls are starting to hurt and I think it's because of my computer constantly being on my lap. How do I stop this? Are the magnets in my compy giving me ball cancer?
>wanted to get spoiled
Honestly, unless its like monogatari OP/EDs (no spoilers) or something like:
you should always skip them.
I had the same problem years ago when I did lots of laptop 4chan browsing. The heat from your laptop overheats your crotch, and testicles are very temperature sensitive.
Don't worry anon, our generation will probably be sterile by 30 anyways due to how much time we spend around phones and computers.
Negligible difference. FFF is still tolerable, when watching Hibike I noticed CR subbed "kakkoi" as "good-looking".
Thanks friends, I might get me one of these. Apparently the eleven is included.
Cute dubs, now let me show you some real digits.
>falling for the size meme
Use your brain. Watching anime on a 8" tablet, with the same resolution of a 23" and a smaller viewing distance, is literally no different than watching anime on a big monitor.
Also, tablets with high quality ips displays are cheaper than high quality monitors.
No, you definitely are. Madvr most hardware intensive tasks and settings are about upscaling. You don't need that on a 720p tablet.
Also, mpv is shit compared to mpc and madvr.
I know the scene you're talking about with Hibike, and FFF subbed it as "hot" or something similar, and then I looked up kakkoii and found that it means handsome/good-looking if a female says it.
I remember that in Ore Monogatari, Crunchyroll usually kept Yamato's "kakkoii" translated as "cool", and Commie made it "hot."
When your monitor has a bigger resolution than the anime you want to watch.
If you don't upscale sd stuff to fullhd, even low-medium settings are good.
If you watch 720p anime in a 768p monitor, you probably don't even need to touch the settings.
Precisely my point, inferior device hardware is not even capable of taking advantage of top notch video rendering/subtitle rendering in the first place, the only excuse to use it could be related to the misconception of "comfiness", inferior hardware will always be inferior no matter what.
Different things, but the video renderer is also good.
>Precisely my point, inferior device hardware is not even capable of taking advantage of top notch video rendering/subtitle rendering in the first place
It doesn't take advantage of it because it doesn't need to. You use madvr to upscale 720p anime on a 1080p monitor, you don't need to upscale on a tablet because the display resolution is already 1:1 with the source.
A 1080p 23" has half the pixel density of a 8" 720p tablet and you watch the monitor from a larger viewing distance than the tablet, in the end it's basically the same experience.
Also I was talking about madvr hardware intensive tasks, you can still run madvr and xysubfilter on a windows tablet without problems.
He didn't say or imply that anywhere in that post, what the shit are you talking about?
What's wrong with that? The shows have commercial breaks anyway. In fact a lot of them design the episode with commercial interruptions anyway. If I decide to take a break in the middle of an episode after watching 4 back to back I'm not gonna spaz out about it becoming a habit.
>was watching Amagami
>New Hildrebrand questline tonight
I always tend to pause right after the OP to finish shitposting and forget about it.
It doesn't help that I only watch SoL nowadays so its not like I'm being entranced by a plot.
I can marathon shitty anime just because it has a plot. I ended up watching 7 episodes of Koutetsushin Jeeg today simply because it had a simple plot, though its not really a bad show.
Whenever I watch something, I unplug the mouse and keyboard. I keep a little notepad that I write down times for good moments, and I go back after watching to take the screenshots and make webms.
>different monitor sizes
Starting to consider this.
I usually do around 25 per season. I don't enjoy half of them, and the forget most of them in a years time.
Next season looks like absolute shite overall, so it will be a good place to start cutting down.
the shorts this season are actually really good
fushigi is probably the funniest thing airing, 2nd being hackadoll/osomatsu
hackadoll has the best op and is 10/10
jiken note has
cute chibi tachibana aya
komori has large PLOT
jk-meshi is kind of weird
hakone is cute
kagewani i have no clue if its actually terrible or brilliant. really weird.
ani-tore is 10/10
if you count the threads
Referring to backlogs, is it best to finish one series at a time and then move onto the next one, or watch several shows at once so you can mix it up?
>Use your brain. Watching anime on a 8" tablet, with the same resolution of a 23" and a smaller viewing distance, is literally no different than watching anime on a big monitor.
Its not more immersive. Why else do you think cinemas are still a thing?
Stopped watching anime at my desk. I use a projector for the actual watching. Also use Plex to keep it focused and less easy the switch out of.
Hell yeah man! Been playing with the size of mine. Used to have an 80" retractable screen mounted over a bookcase. Was nice and stealth, but ended up moving the bookcase and just projecting larger onto the wall. I'll likely get a better fixed frame screen after I move. Got about 115" with the current setup.
>watching a show in a language you don't understand while browsing 4chan
So many plebs here.
>I usually do around 25 per season
I actually feel sorry for you.
