When you've got multiple characters whose abilities defy logic and universal consistency it's silly to try and argue who would beat the other in a fight, because such an argument can only be founded in some standard of logic and universal consistency, however incorrect or misapplied. The important part of that statement was "using only basic algebra". You're not dealing with a simple question of "is this value greater than another". You're with characters with abstract abilities subject to change, interpretation, and general author bullshittery. Add onto that the fact that none of them can be applied to conventional reasoning skills and you're faced with the fact that trying to conduct an extended debate on the subject is futile. You can't formulate scenarios like Demonbane vs. Vishnu with logic any more than you can actually understand the concept of infinity on more than an abstract level.

Any actual result of a fight between these sorts of characters in fiction is all down to author feat, because there is no logical answer to who would win in a fight between two characters who are canonically fated to win every fight they have. Which brings up another reason these debates are pointless: even if you could conjure up a perfectly sound and consistent argument that one character is totally and unchangeably unbeatable, that won't be able to stop the author showing them losing to somebody like Squirrel Girl as a joke.

Logic depends on universal consistency and the principal of cause and effect, neither of which remain as factors to a character who is truly omnipotent. There was this one part of the VN where Demonbane was hijacked by one of the villains and was used to do evil shit.

While all this shit was happening, Demonbane actually fucking cried. An allegedly non-sentient mecha cried tears of mercury because it was being used for doing evil rather than murdering evil and dishing out JUSTICE.

I mean, everything about the Demonbane-verse is completely fucking bonkers and would make Lovecraft spin like a goddamn jet turbine in his grave, but that one scene really got to me.
