Of a scale from 1 to 10 what do you rate Attack on Titan?

I give it an 8. The show's visual style is nice, and the action directing is good. However, the characters are mostly just alright, the MC has a super deus ex machina, and the writing started taking a downhill turn after like episode 8.

Its not horrible, but its nothing special.

Mostly becuase there is quite a bit of filler that just plain sucks.. like 2 whole episodes and a few half episodes here and there. I hadn't even read the manga and I felt the filler.

Other than the filler, this anime and the manga hits it home for me. i'm a sucker for the beginning that started our extremely desperate, with hope coming in just to pile on more despair. Manga was amazing but it's starting to get a bit too despair-less for my tastes... but I guess it has to get better sometime.

That said Eren needs to man up more, I'm tired of the whole "omg I suck I can't do X even though I've done it before"

The first 10 episodes are like a solid 9, at points it goes as far as a 9.8 (when you think the MC is dead). Once the MC comes back with his powers it drops down to about a 4-5, with some points being a 6-7.

A solid 6. It was watchable but forgettable. I honestly don't even remember the plot apart from huge naked men eating a bunch of undeveloped characters nobody gave a fuck about.

It had so much potential with how gripping the mysteries were at the start of the season, but it fizzled fast and hard. The repeated flashbacks and "how do we know you're not an enemy?" scenes and all the drawn out crap while eren is trying to control his dumb Titan form are all terrible. That said, s2 is probably going to be much better so long as they don't fuck it up hard.

Manga is fun, but it seriously loses the atmosphere it had at the start, no longer is it creepy, it's sort of just really shonen now. (the last creepy moment was when they Ymir and shit were in the tower and that one comes up the stairs)

On the anime, huge pacing issues, but decent direction despite that.

It's a better 8,so around 8.5. There are lot of good points about the show but the characters are so god awful with no development.The animation and music are sick tho

I'd say a solid 6 or 7. It's silly, but it does what it does well and has an interesting enough plot to keep you entertained throughout. The series is good with replacing dead characters with new and interesting ones - which is one thing that really makes a world feel "real."

Not on my best shows list but absolutely zero regrets watching it.

Had a good way to hype shit up. Animation was solid and had a few eargasims. Have watched the whole series like 6-8 times

Issues I had with Attack on Titan

>"We gotta get to the basement" is primary plot motivator for 25 episodes which is a horribly boring premise
>Mysteries are vaguely intriguing but the heavily implied: "government is somehow involved" is lame, and humans trying to needlessly wipe out humanity is also kind of lame
>With Wall Maria being breached basically yesterday, how did hundreds of thousands of square KM of land become so densely populated with titans so soon after the breach? There is no way there would be that many already inside of Wall Maria so soon after the incident.
>Why didn't they travel to Wall Maria at a different point that has less titans on it, then travel along the top of the wall where it would be safe from, well, everything?

The anime was a solid 7/10, the manga ranged between 6/10 and 8/10 up until a certain point, but then it became just boring and in the end I stopped caring about it.
