I won't lie, I think this is fucking awesome.

I and many others predicted Souma would make something so delicious the judges couldn't refuse it, but I don't think anyone called him utilizing the "essence" of Polar Star Dorm in his dish. It's perfect, really. It's a challenge to the current regime and an example of the excellence of the previous one. Polar Star is a microcosm example of Tootsuki as a whole, after all: a smattering of individuals fighting and trying to improve. Basically, this wasn't a dish that Souma just made because he's a Gary Stu, it's one his whole dorm made and won with.

That's just wonderful, seriously. I still hated GETTING here, but this was a nice way to finish Eizan off and basically declare war against Azami and Central.

Gotta say, this is the worst shokugeki by far. Soma is a shonen MC with the associated plot armor, and it's fine, but he still should get 3-0'd and expelled here. Eizan bribed those guys, who are his business partners. As much as they wanna like Soma's dish, it shouldn't sway their votes in his favor. At least give a 2-1 and not an overwhelming victory.
