Besides their propensity for just straight up copying shit, sometimes the animation(especially the 3D stuff) is subtly horrifying in how "off" it looks.

China is much more fluid and dynamic as a market and industry force compared to Japan, but their creative output so far lacks the exotic appeal that anime did when it first started making its international push.

The Ze Tian Ji cartoon is okay. Pretty QUALITY, but it's pretty good for an adaptation of a web novel, I guess.

Bit of a shame, since it's my favorite Chinese power fantasy so far.
