Alright, a little theory on what I think about Shigaraki and his past. I've been thinking that maybe he was abused as a child by his father for never going outside and socializing. We have seen that he speaks in video game logic a lot, talking about "continues" and "cheats". I think at one point he just lashed out and went against his father, and it disintegrated him. Yet somewhere in that twisted mind, he feels bad about it. We see him apologize to the hand after being knocked off of his face (side note: the foreshadowing of 5 fingers disintegrating but 4 not can be seen on this page when he picks up the hand).
I also believe this coincides with Shigaraki's childish demeanor. He got "frozen in time" more or less as a, let's assume 8, year old kid when he killed his dad. Giving up immediately when things don't go his way. I also believe that the father killed the mother earlier in some domestic case, but got off free because no heroes even cared to go for him.
We also see that All for One is breeding Shigaraki to be his successor. I believe All for One found Shigaraki at that young age and his kept him under his wing ever since. Acting like a father wanting Shigaraki to pull up his big boy pants and figure things out for himself.
So for all of this, I think I have a good idea of why Shigaraki wants to take out All Might. It's because as a little kid, Shigaraki was abused by his father. He only found comfort in video games, and calling out to heroes (represented by All Might) didn't give him any safety. They only save the ones out in the public, but they won't take care of the boy in his home being tormented every day. Yet the shmucks laugh it up, not giving a shit about anybody else's problems. Not caring who they kill, like Tomura's mother. One day, Tomura had it and killed his father. And since then, he's been working under All for One killing the shit he doesn't like. Most specifically, the people who laugh it up without giving a shit about others.

Not sure, and but considering how Horikoshi appears to be going at a breakneck pace its difficult to say how soon until we see a face off and what'll happen after. Its hard to even get an estimate at how long BnHA will run. Been a while since I tracked a WSJ series, but random guess states somewhere between 200-350 range to finish, depending on whether or not it'll be milked dry (and considering its Hori's only major success, it just might). Anything longer then 350 might as well become Bleach/Naruto/One Piece tier. Then again, Kingdom is in Weekly Young Junp, and just passed its 450th chapter, and its still fucking awesome (though I am like 75 chapters behind). Who knows how long the quality will keep up. For now it doesn't appear to be dipping at least.

I kind of want to see it go on forever, I want more. So much more.

I gotta say, I don't really like how everyone's motivation is to be the Number 1 Hero. Heroes shouldn't care about being better than other heroes, they should care about saving and helping as many people as they can. If other heroes are better than you that means more people will be saved. There's no reason to be the Number 1 hero other than pure ego, heroes shouldn't care what other people think about them.
Stain kind of had a point.
In western comics, Superheroes don't care about being more popular or being better than other heroes. They don't even care if they're despised. All they care about is making a difference.
