Let's have our condolences to Sharkbro the best Q.
RIP you loveable bastard.
ALL THIS TIME I DID IGNORE THE FACT THAT KANEKI WAS RAPED.
>YFW Urie cried his eyes out for Shirazu
Even that got to me.
Niggerstream is out.
Do you think I'd shitpost while using a picture of my queen? Anon please.
It just fucking makes me tear up, doesn't he at least deserve a peaceful death.
YOU DID NOT JUST GIVE ETO A NOTHING PERSONAL MOMENT
Wonder if they know the Owl is on the roof. Figure they'd not want to move in if they did know. And if they do know, they really ought to get some choppers in the air if they haven't already.
>Does this not move you
theme of the chapter
>Urie Kuki: Cried his edge away
>Noro: The ride never ends (Mr bones reference)
>Ui: Probably fell from the stairs again
>Matsuri: Fell off the building , reaches roof earlier than Ui
>Mutsuki: Why couldn't it be her!
>Kaneki: This isn't even my final form!
>Shirazu: Please , can the real slim shady please stand up!
>Kuroiwa: Genes secured.
Are they doing this so I miss Imperial Scans? Because holy shit.
I rather read tumblrina translations and look at raws then read this poor thing.
Caught the tarot /number reference. This is kind of cool.
By the time the Fool becomes an adult, he has a strong identity and a certain mastery over himself. Through discipline and will-power, he has developed an inner control which allows him to triumph over his environment.
The Chariot (7) represents the vigorous ego that is the Fool's crowning achievement so far. On Card 7, we see a proud, commanding figure riding victoriously through his world. He is in visible control of himself and all he surveys. For the moment, the Fool's assertive success is all he might wish, and he feels a certain self-satisfaction. His is the assured confidence of youth.
>washu gives 0 (zero) fucks
one cold ass nigga.
Please stop trying to share this shitty headcanon that probably (i.e definitely) came from some edgelord sjw fucklord's tumblr.
It didn't. Tumblr faggots just love to insinuate any possibility of sex crimes in fiction.
hmmm maybe you're right, it's probably because i'm tractable piece of shit.
>Showing emotion for nigh-complete stranger(s) when you're the leading officer in charge of what was a routine mission where casualties on both sides were expected escalates into a full on shit show.
Yep. Totally deserving of death.
Thank fucking god, someone else is picking it up again?
It's fucking distracting when you keep second guessing the translations as you read the chapter, it curtails my enjoyment immensely.
There's /a/non that's done 51-53 from the YJ scans. I'm not too keen on the font he uses, but the scans alone make it leagues ahead of IS/MS:
>Washu gets to the fight between Kaneki and Eto
>tries to take down "dangerous SS-rated ghoul Kaneki"
>gets ripped apart by Eto who doesn't want anyone to mess with her protégé
Should be fun.
see it this way
picture her as if she is in a knightmare frame, but looking downwards instead. much like this one, where they lie in it like a mortal cycle.
>tfw reading the chapter while listening to
GLASSY SKY ABOVE
And then for the Kaneki vs Eto, of course
Urie asked him though. All he was saying beforehand was Eto is on the roof and that he needs all the ones still able to fight to come with him. He even brought the medical team with him.
Thinking objectively you're right anon, he is a stranger he doesn't have to show mercy for shirazu, i was moved by the feels but thinking about it he did nothing wrong,
Blood, dirt from having his head caved in. Thing is, it's probably not fucking permanent.
Also can't wait for good scans to come out, jesus fuck.
>Most dangerous ghoul is on the rooftop, asks the only two capable officers if they can fight
>Urie, normally first to charge into a situation, is crying like a bitch for a member of his squad as if deaths don't happen often
>Urie asks him if the scene before him moves him
>Really just needs to fight the owl
>"No I don't, now are you coming or not"
>Urie stays crying like a bitch, wasting all the potential in the CCG he had
>Washuu called heartless
>tfw remembering about his sister and the huge weight for that on his shoulders
Don't get me wrong Matsuri is usually a dick. Especially a couple of chapters ago when he was hoping for Ui to die but in this instance here he did nothing wrong.
Urie was being too emotional. Trying to guilt trip Matsuri was stupid as shit.
This chapter confirms you don't need a Kakuja to be top ghoul, although kakuja armor is helpful.
Also, why not just feed Shirazu some corpses?
Not related to this chapter but something crossed my mind.
In one of the other threads i remember someone saying that Shirazu didn't have any character development left, so, in hindsight, he was the one that was going to die out of the Qs.
While thinking of that, Suzuya crossed my mind, wasn't the big madam the last part of his story?
i do not totally agree with you because, in TG you can be a Heartless motherfucker to get stronger or you go through the pain without getting full Psychopath-OrganizationTool-Crazy
even Yusoo did it.
>Not posting dual monitor version
No you stupid fuck. Matsuri shouldn't have said no like a fucking dick. Plus this pussy stood behind in the shadows like a pussy getting rich off of stocks while everyone were getting killed. He deserves to fucking die like a bitch because he has no remorse like an actual Human and only thinks about his selfish desires.
The thing is, who gains development over Suzuya dying? His squad? Nobody cares about them and they are side-characters.
The chances of a genius Arima level prodigy kicking the bucket would be realistically fairly low as well. Maybe in a huge endgame raid it could happen.
Matsuri is not a well written psychopath. A real psychopath who was skilled at manipulating people would have said "yes, but sasaki is still in danger, there's no time, we have to save him, it's what shirazu would have wanted, etc etc."
Zoom in 200% on this specific part of the page. The consistency/texture inside the 7 is way different. It looks like a Y but if you inspect the image super closely, the one streak going off the 7 is blotchy as all fuck and not congruous / contiguous with the 7 itself.
well yes hes heartless, if you see his background and that he consider his troops to be mere pawns and doesn't get fazed at all by death whether human nor ghoul, I'd say its fair to call him heartless. Shit I'd dare say even Arima wouldn't do that shit, considering he got invited to the christmas party
And we finally get to see Urine character development, so this should be good
>reading Tokyo Ghoul
>complaining about edginess
So will Kaneki leave the CCG together with Urie, Saiko and Mutsuki?
Now that MUH PROMOTION is off the table, i can't imagine Urie staying there.
Same for Saiko, she just saw a friend dying and how the upper faggots dont give a shit.
And for Mutsuki, i'm not sure. Maybe she will stay to keep her gender bullshit a secret, but who knows.
The speed of Kanekipede revised is next level shit. Have they been feeding him bottles of concentrated ghouls?
>not in Japanese order
One fucking job, holy shit.
But in earlier chapters, didn't it say he's only an "ass" in the sense that he's a pure utilitarian? If his philosophy really prioritized results over everything else, wouldn't he realize his subordinates morale and mental well-being is integral to success? Him saying "No" here means one less fighter capable of joining his team.
I think we can find some other number in this pic.
Well this escelated quickly....
Sadly, no. I posted the dual monitor one, since it's the one I'm using right now, but it bugs me that its a bit jagged and pixely too. I didn't make it, but I've been thinking about trying to fix it up. I'll post it in the threads if I ever do.
>why didn't the big bad inspector man make some cocoa for poor Urie and comfort him in the middle of a war-zone
Guess I know know where the Naruto fanbases migrated to after their series ended
Did Sharkbro die just so Urie could have some character development?
Holy shit, you symbolism fags really have gone full retard. Stop using shitscans, they further your delusion.
As the other anon said Mutsuki.
But i was more thinking of a case of one of the huge battles that happen and Ishida wants to pile up bodies. I could see a scene where there is a huge fight going on, Shinohara wakes up from coma/dies and soon after Suzuya dies.
I hope you do soon, anon. I noticed it needed work too. I appreciate it.
There's no real legit reason for it. Ishida just made the rest of his almost black hair into full black. His hair isn't red or green- it's black. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Nobody really gets why it actually is black. Best theory we have is Kaneki woke up from his resting after 3 years and his orginal hair just came back.
Regardless, it's manga. We don't have to explain shit.
I wish you the best of luck in your finals and I hope you get top results anon.
not until you dumb fucks stop reading this manga
Have you been paying attention to what we like about them? This shit has just been turning up since we started talking about it with every chapter.
Thinking about it, Shirazu was the only Q it made sense for to die.
Mutsuki, Saiko and Urie all still have obvious character development awaiting them, whereas Shirazu was already doing pretty well, and his death would probably tear the team apart the most.
> Urie tries to guilt trip fucking Matsuri of all people on why he isn't feeling anything from the death of a single CCG investigator
Fucking retard holy shit. Why are we not shitting on this brat again?
Eto should use this instead of that useless mass of RC cells
Nah man if Kaneki still cares about Shirazu and the Q's this is the perfect opportunity to bring them together. We also have seeds being sewn for Urie and Saiko to leave the CCG.
I honestly hope that mutsuki gets taken and used for Kanou experiments though, it would also give torso relevance.
In that scenario I see Mutsuki possibly staying with the CCG and joining Juuzou's squad. I doubt they'd form a new quinx squad after so many of the artificial ghouls joined the ghouls.
whoops forgot image
>I cant die and leave my sister alone
Urie and Shirazu could have been a Shinohara and Kuroiwa tier Team
>mfw we'll never see it.
She did, but it's the same form that got her that SSS ranking in the first place. I don't know why she willingly hinders herself by using that slow ass kakuja when it's been shown that she's greatly skilled with her kagune and speed.
I'm not telling, it's just a possible explanation, but that ghoul could have been born with White or Blonde Hair.
Tortured ghouls like Kaneki Yamori or Takizawa are special cases.
>Urie the fool
You fucking nigger.
See, now this is far more believable than some stupid fucking theory insisting that blood somehow conveniently covered his entire hair and managed to not splatter off his head while he jumped around because it somehow dried in 30 seconds. It's even raining during the fight so it should have gradually been coming off especially with all the flips and shit he's doing.
Kaneki is the hanged man and the fool. Did you completely forget his mask being referred to as "The Hanged Man's MacGuffin ?" and the number he had in Yamori's torture room ? The entire story is based around the fool's journey, Kaneki's journey.
Don't worry. Haise is Kaneki, and Kaneki is Haise.
Haise's still with us. He's just resting a bit.
You don't need to explain shit with RC magics. Ishida just used blood as a tool for symbolic representation of black hair, people just need to accept his hair is black for the sake of narrative. It's not even that far fetched. Look at his hair before the mission, it would almost be black at some points.
>Shirazu is easily replaceable.
The fool's journey hasn't ended, we're still on the tower part. Secondly, the bit I mentioned about the MacGuffin was in :RE.
That would explain why his hair didn't become full black again after 3 years. It was half black when :re started, and after the post-auction timeskip it quickly became almost full black after being super close to full white.
hes got dadcore and V$VP fuccboi styles down
"The Tower is the ego fortress each of us has built around his beautiful inner core. Gray, cold and rock-hard, this fortress seems to protect but is really a prison. The Fool may need such a severe shakeup if he is to free himself, but the resulting revelation makes the painful experience worthwhile. The dark despair is blasted away in an instant, and the light of truth is free to shine down."
We passed the tower a long time ago, when Haise started accepting Kaneki. Volume 5 was the moon, it's obvious: dreams, Tsukiyama, everything taking place at night. 55 is the start of volume 6 and the sun, sorry anon.
Is Ayato really suggesting they should all feel bad because Yamori kicked it? Because really, the guy was a major asshole and Naki has already done more grieving than the nutter deserved.
please no, no more suffering. that can only go terribly
OMFG i didn't remember about this, seriously Ayato is fucking retarded.
>yfw Sasaki triggered the death flag ten chapters ago
Like I said, a big if. She'll be lucky if she's cured, and I can only see that happening if she's implanted with a kakuhou, since her RC cell oversecretion should then no longer be a problem.
But I'm just making assumptions here, there's not much of a basis for it.
Before TG : Fool
Meeting Hide (before TG as well) : Magician
Rize = High Priestess
Touka = Empress
Anteiku = Emperor
Mado = Hierophant
Kuzen = Chariot
Amon : Strength
Getting mask = Hermit
Gourmet Arc (meeting clowns, Sen) = Wheel of Fortune
Yamori = Hanged Man
Kanekipede = Death
Anteiku Raid = Temperance
Arima = Devil
being in CCG = Tower
Meeting Touka again = Star
This arc = Moon
Next arc (most probably, Rize's revival) = Sun
Last fight = Judgment
Epilogue = World
Im asspained as fuck. Shirazu was my favorite Q. At least he ended his character development before dying. Fuck
Now we will never know what happened with his broken kakuhou frame.
Black to white to black, repeating.
You wouldn't get it early. Besides nobody in his right mind would clean weekly magazine "the proper way". It takes way too much time and nobody gives two shits about scans' cleans. People were reading MangaPanda's release which were ten thousand times worse.
For shitty weekly magazines just run topaz like a retard and call it a day.
Theory is that Kaneki got white hair because of the RC suppressants used on him by Yamori. Presumably the CCG has been using some as well so his hair remained partially white.
But now it's wearing off and his hair is black again.
Supposedly, the first arc is the Devil (ignorance) and the auction arc the Tower (release and sudden change).
The Sun should be serenity and inspiration.
I should read TG:re again.
This. Since :re all this taroting got worse, every character has like 5 numbers, each chapter has 10 hidden symbols. Everyone is just fighting to be the first to spot a number. Ishida's numbers are usually huge and clear as day in tg.
Well, first The melanin is the shit that gives color to your hair, skin and eyes, the amount of this shit can vary on every person, that's the reason because there are niggers and blondes and that stuff.
In kaneki this does work different because when he was tortured he got a big amount of stress and this turned his hair in white (or can be my RC magic) anyway, this happens because when you're under Stress (i'm not 100% sure) you start to produce hydrogen peroxide and this nullifies the production of melanine, making your hair grow white.
But ghouls can regenerate and this makes possible to regenerate the lost melanine. maybe kaneki was unable to regenerate at 100% because of the RC supressors then right now he is at full power and he has regenerated all his body at the 100%.
(I don't speak english, if you didn't undertand something tell me, i will try to answer)
Not to mention half the people commenting on it (not to mention all of tumblr) don't actually know how tarot symbolism actually works.
Only series I know that really nails down the tarot motif is Persona.
Kaneki had his fingers cut off pretty often by Yamori so nobody actually knows why they're black. It's definitely not dried blood since the whole finger was cut off and simply regenerated.
Wasn't it because of stress (Marie Antoinette syndrome) that his hair turned white? Or were we assuming that. It makes sense, given the content we have now, but what about his nails?
Has anyone noticed that every volume cover involves a close up of a characters face with at least one hand thrown in? Ishida's getting a bit lazy.
The fool's journey doesn't correspond to people.
For example Hierophant just represents Kaneki joining a group and following their ideals.
Yeah, his hair turned white. Touka noticed it.
Now his hair is returning to black. When his hair became "whiter", that was probably just symbolic stuff.
I see no reason why his nails becoming black again (Where they not black before? I didn't commit to memory the color of his nails before this point in Re) can't be symbolic too.
No I mean Kaneki's encounter with each people
Youngneki is Fool
He meet Hide, his Magician that inspires him
Meeting Rize, his High Priestess, gives him his dark side
Kaneki found mother figure in Touka, his Empress
He also found father figure and home in Anteiku people
Hinami's arc, meeting Mado, and his first fight is Kaneki's first education under the Hierophant
Kaneki found something to protect in Hinami
and so on
and so on
It makes sense except for the last part. Just how much RC suppressants was he on? The time between Yamori and his death via Arima was a fairly long time(a year? I think?) and it should have worn off by then.
That's not what I meant at all.
His hair turning white was assumed to be from Marie Antoinette syndrome. His nails turning black was supposed to be dried blood. Now that his hair is turning black again, we're assuming its because of something other than Marie Antoinette syndrome, which is RC suppressants wearing off. But what doesn't make sense is that his hair stayed white for a pretty long time after Yamori. Wouldn't it have reverted back faster?
>pepe's been suffering this whole time
Actually that makes sense, he is the feels frog after all.
Reminder that social media was a mistake. And that dumbasses like these need to be stopped.
hmmm, then fuck all that shit.
the only thing that i can suppose it's that ghouls even regerate the dead hair.
Well anyway, if that explanation doesn't i don't give a shit, i had a lot of fun making this.
This is some fanfic bullshit, but maybe that's why Arima's hair is white too. A human being should never be able to wreck Eto's shit, solo, without any visible effort, so maybe he's also a ghoul hybrid of some kind. I can't think of anything else that could've happened between Jack and Part 1 to turn his hair white. His general character has remained mostly the same, so I doubt some traumatic, stressful event happened.
Like I said, fanfic bullshit, but that's my guess.
The answer is fiction, I believe. These things are just loosely based on real life phenomenon. It's as dumb as people using "math" to "prove" arguments in regards to fictional material. It's a fun thing to do when you're bored, but don't treat it like a fact for the story.
More Western and European views focus on the Frog's three stages of development (egg, tadpole, fully formed amphibian) to symbolize resurrection and spiritual evolution. For these same reasons it is also a common Christian symbol for the holy trinity and resurrection. It is often seen in Christian art to express this symbolism.
Tragedy complements him.
yeah, even the society in tokyo ghoul doesn't make sence, since the ghoul are and old problem, i can't figure a way for the ghouls to survive with the humans for a long time
it's not like the people is fucking blind if you kill someone, someone will notice.
>and the clowns still get the last laugh
>If his philosophy really prioritized results over everything else, wouldn't he realize his subordinates morale and mental well-being is integral to success?
He might think of himself as a utilitarian, but I feel that's more of his self-justification for being a power hungry sociopath rather than anything that speaks to his capabilities.
Many are misinterpreting Kaneki's line at the very end. He's not telling Eto to go fuck herself, he's asking her to give him a damn good reason for why he should go out of his way to save her after all she's done.
>Is infamous for recklessly throwing away lives to boost his own standing.
>The asshole superior from the first manga has an inner monologue about how much a bastard he truly is
>Don't you feel anything for what has happened
He isn't asking for a pity party, he's asking if he even cares that an investigator has died. His answer is.
>Not at all. Guess you're useless because you aren't as emotionless as me.
Yeah, he's certainly the hero the CCG needs. I'm sure his ways won't come back to bite him in the ass later like Hairu's and Kijima's did.
Seems easy enough to understand. The body has to be alive to regenerate. If the body dies before it can regenerate from whatever wound is killing it, regeneration stops.
Noro and Kanae are theoretically being supported by the 'bone' Eto implanted in them, but even that has its own threshold for punishment.
I hate the fanbase surrounding him more than I hate the actual character.
I like how, to the ghouls he's this unkillable force of nature, and to the CCG he's an unreachable ideal. A god of death to one, and a god of victory to the other.
No, let that not be the case, Amon had a purpose to keep fighting, same with Urie now, and with how things between Eto and Kaneki are going, i think (this is about to be some shitty theory so bare with me):
Kaneki is gonna end up whooping Etos ass, but he will most likely leave the CCG, to go find touka and everyone, leaving Urie , Saiko and Mitsuki behind. Urie is going to stay at the CCG to become stronger to fight back Agoiri Tree, while Saiko may go find Kaneki, however she'll most likely be found by Ayato and try to use her to break out Hinami, and possibly recuit her to Aogiri, while Mitsuki is going to stay behind in the CCG with Urie, trying to get stronger to fight back as well. All of this will lead to Urie v Kaneki in the end fighting, the fight will mirror the Amon v Kaneki fight and it'll most likely end with Urie dying since the development he's gonna have by then will be huge. Or Batmon will finally come back, and in the end, the fight between Amon v Urie happens and it mirrors the Amon v Kaneki fight, as Amon is now a ghoul, and Urie is a over powered CCG agent.
She didn't seem to enjoy the actual act of killing them, but she wasn't really bothered by it either. Zero fucks given either way.
The only pleasure she got was making Autisma proud.
I honestly don't get it either.
Apparently, if you lose a limb, you just need to get the other limb to reattach itself. All ghouls we have seen regenerated in that way. All Tsukiyama had to do to regen his arm is eat himself and somehow it reattached.
If the wound is a cut, gash, or just a gaping hole, then it will just gradually repair itself and close. Shirazu's regen was supposed to be really good, but it wasn't strong enough to keep him alive after getting slashed through his side.
Kaneki lost a whole arm and might not even get it back since he lost his original arm.
However, Yamori cut off his feet and hands to fill up a bucket but somehow they still regrew without using the original foot or hand.
If you're someone like Noro or Kanae, then congrats because your regen is OP as fuck.
