It's real funny. It shares the same cast and general space setting of the VN/Strategy game it comes from, but it's a comedy where as the VN is more serious and date sim like.

Throughout the show, lots of shit is parodied such as shojo manga, sports manga, sentai shit, as well as plenty of original writing. Some of the humor is very Japanese, but most of it I'd say is universal.

You'll find that the art quality greatly increases season by season. It's interesting just what 4 years can do in terms of animation.

I personally think it's a wonderful gem of 2000's comedy anime.

Of course not. The original trilogy was able to be hacked and torn apart because it was first released on PC. The Rune games were only released on the PS2.

Rune is bad because each episode was a full 20 minutes and it revolved around a single joke. The original GA was fun because it never overstayed its jokes with its 10 minute runs.

I really wish the main cast of Milky Holmes just always had their powers and the show would be them comically solving cases and shit. I feel like I would have enjoyed it far more that way. Still, at least Nero Nero Nii was in there. She makes up for all of it.

Fun fact, from right to left, it's the voice actresses for Ranpha, Milefeulle, Mint and then Eli Ayase from Love Live. The voice actress for Nero in Milky Holmes would later be Nico in Love Live.

It's not like the Angel team even performs successful missions in the show either in Galaxy Angel.
Both shows were just cute girls goofing off.
Though I enjoyed the parts in Galaxy Angel where Lost Technology is responsible for some funny stuff.

I don't know. Milky Holmes felt a little more plot driven than Galaxy Angel's 10 minute episode-by-episode gags. It just felt like a constant uphill battle with Milky Holmes, like "Okay once they can get their powers, THEN this shit can really start" but they lost them as soon as they got them back. I enjoyed some shit along the way, it just seemed like the whole powers thing was kind of wasted potential.

I like Volcott and Nomad.

I still can fap to Vanilla and Nano-Nano but can't fap to Mint.
