So I watched Fate/Zero out of a recommendation list and enjoyed it a lot. But I've just learned that my watch order is now fucked because It's suppose to be a prequel and I am now spoiled of all the major plot point in F/SN. Will my enjoyment of F/SN be ruined by this fact ? Should I still even watch F/SN now? From what I've heard It doesn't have the same feel as F/Z at all. Should I wath the movie, the original or the remake of F/SN ?
Don't watch FS/N, it's pretty shitty. If you have no life, you can play the VN since the adaptation is shit. FS/N is nothing like Zero, I wouldn't bother if I were you and just go for UBW at this point.
You're not fucked you'll just be disappointed in the quality of the original (animation etc). I'd say watch the original. But it's so similar to UBW that you might just want to watch that instead. (UBW is same quality as FZ
I did the opposite and I can agree it would be better to watch Zero first. Those episodes with Kiritsugu backstory were kind of a pain to watch when you know he's mostly irrelevant in F/SN.
Well that sucks. Is the UBW serie by the same studio any good ?
Don't really have 50hrs to pour into another VN right now. Oh well, F/Z gives pretty good foreshadowing of the next one anyway. If my guess is correct it goes something like this.
>Little boy at the end become MC
>All the daughteru become his harem
>Best waifu Saber is still there so the other heroes might be there too ?
>Rin will probably win
I haven't watched UBW, but it's the same studio and was well received. It's supposed to be an alternate route in the VN along with F/SN and Heaven's Feel. It has the same start as F/SN so nothing of value is lost if you watch it right after F/Z. You basically are just going to miss the default path, which you can just wiki if you really want to know.
Just drop it while you have the chance. Fate/Zero's retarded older brother will just leave a bad taste in your mouth, it is best to end on a masterpiece. It is not even worth it for the fight scenes, OP's webm trashed anything in UBW.
Read the VN. You spoiled most twists but it's still worth it, and at least you won't be a filthy secondary like >>134152044
F/SN wasn't a high school setting either.
I think I would normally recommend watching F/Z first, then UBW afterwards.
The only thing you need to know about UBW is that it's one of three different timelines, which means there are some characters, who you know, from F/Z, should be really important people to the story, who get unlucky and die without doing anything. This is because they're more important in the other timelines. It's really jarring at one point in particular.
> The story primarily takes place at and around Shirō Emiya's house, which acts as his base location in the Holy Grail War. Outside of Shirō's house, frequented locations include Homurahara Gakuen (the high school), and the Ryūdō Temple.
>First encounter with Lancer and Archer, the fucking Highschool
>First Battle with Rider, the fucking Highschool
>First attempt to trap Caster and her master, the fucking high school
Have you guys ever read a book before?
>Setting: the place or type of surroundings where something is positioned or where an event takes place.
Shiro is a HS student and his main opponents are other HS students.
Shinji is literally the only HS student "villain".
>Shiro is a HS student
So what? The scenes in high school only pile to what, 2 episodes of total screentime? And it's only at the start, since after ep. 9 it becomes essentially non-existent, besides the brief scene in the Epilogue.
>almost all the masters are highschoolers
If by "almost all" you mean 3 of the 7 originally chosen masters, and all of those have very good reason to be chosen, then sure.
Four of the six masters came from the same high school, contrasted with the multiple ages, professions, and backgrounds from which the Fate/Zero masters were drawn. I can see why it would be jarring, since I myself greatly prefer the diversity in Zero, despite reading Zero several years after FSN.
None of the plot points revolve around a culture festival. There are no mysterious transfer students. Club activities are not the focus of the MC's day.
Therefore, F/SN is not a high school setting.
If you bothered to read the source material you'd know that school is literally a timekeeping device which Nasu uses as a crutch to increment the development of the plot. It's the same type of crutch as "let's structure the progress of a day around meals so that we can't avoid moving the plot forward until something happens".
Being a casual secondary with a life is better than being a faglord who actually has the time to read that steaming pile of shit.
Face it you sad bastards: you just like drawn girls. Even a rational person who hates Fate/Zero would know it's better than F/SN.
You're kind of fucked to be honest OP. There's a chance you might like UBW more than Zero when you watch it, but that chance is not very high. You can either stop and accept the ending of F/Z as it is, which is that Kerry passes his hopes on to the kid who will continue to keep his dream alive, or you can continue watching if you're dying to know what happens.
>2/7 are from the clocktower
>3/7 are founding members, 1/3 is indistiguishable from those of the clocktower
>1/7 is a wildcard
>1/7 is exactly the same at one of the founding masters
But the story didn't HAVE to be written that way. It wasn't inevitable from the previous plot points leading up to it. Part of it was a deliberate choice from the writer, which in my opinion was for the worse.
>secondaries still shitposting
>Describe the following Fate character WITHOUT saying what they look like, what kind of outfit they wore, or what their profession or role in the anime was. Describe this character to your friends like they ain't never seen Fate.
Or you could just read the VN and get the best Saber?
Heaven's Feel > Fate/Zero > UBW = Fate > Hollow Ataraxia
>And don't any of you faggots tell me it was explained more in the novelization or some Fate novel. What matters is the anime. I ain't never read one of them Fate novels, or any novels in general for that matter, and I ain't about to start.
>being this much of a secondary
i'm going to vomit
>3/7 are founding members
>2/7 are from the clocktower, none of which need to appear in order to shape the storyline
>1/7 is a Heroic Spirit
>1/7 is a mentor/antagonist, also plays a role in the plot totally independent of being a Master
>1/7 is the MC
>1/7 is a wildcard
Your diversity argument is shit.
No, I'm an egotistical asshole who goes online to make myself feel better looking at people being even more pathetic than me.
I mean, I know you guys are just being ironic and know for a fact that hanging out with people in real life is more worthwhile than spending 30 hours reading shit.
But you're sad enough to still do it.
>I'm an egotistical asshole who goes online to make myself feel better looking at people being even more pathetic than me.
If one took five fucking minutes to respond when one's own self-respect is literally on the line, one might count that a failure.
