/pc/ is slow on the leaks this year
I would very much enjoy a 3rd-era-only movie. The fairies say otherwise, but the screenshots give me hope.
Do not bully the Hime.
It's quite a bit like that, but with a less dumb name.
I'm going to marry Haruharu!
Speaking of Decade, does anyone have a pic of Megs wearing Heart's PreCards? Or any cross-series card combinations, really.
Going to get drunk with Honoka. Any advices?
Fine. I miss (pre midseason climax) HaCha.
I'm not trying to guilt you into liking it or anything.
I want Mana to sit on my face and leak all over me
All the remotely ok ones are nsfw.
So in two years will people be shitposting all day about Haruharu and how she saved precure or something?
Just watched a few random episodes of something called Fresh Precure.
Are you guys seriously watching a teenage girl show with such shit animation?
wel lfrob m,y ponte of vewe, u; are horbaly drowm.
>Are you guys seriously watching a show with such shit animation?
Yes, actually. Then again, Fresh and Yes5 were made with copious amounts of QUALITY.
>teenage girl show
This is for pre-3rd grade girls. It used to be for pre-middle school though.
Not likely; time isn't kind to subaverage shows. Unless next year is even worse, of course.
LBW not really, but it caught some flak for being handheld, as well as both being unoriginal (reused overworld) and being too different (item rental).
WW, however, had one of the most negative receptions of any game ever when it was initially revealed. "Celda" was a most divisive issue for a long while. If you were alive at the time, I'm amazed you don't remember.
I have never been part of the videogames fanbase, they are more filled with shitposting than any /a/ thread and have non-existence cute posting.
I just frequent news sites and buy whatever I like.
Kinda surprised about Wind Waker. It's most creative and original Zelda.
I'm sorry, anon. I don't have the energy to play along with you this late at night. But keep trying, and I'm sure someone will bite one day.
1-hour drawing incoming.
Today's theme is the childhood friend of yesterday's, and the owner of one of the most ridiculous Cure hairstyles in the franchise, Midorikawa Nao aka Cure March.
From Episode 42: "Dreams or Precure?! The Path Kirara Choses!"
>I'm Myoujou Karin...! I'll do my very best...!!
>Glad to have you
>Wh-Whatever is this feeling? (Gununu...)
Even as a kig Kirara is best
Any of the Yes5's, I don't trust Coco and Nuts
We need Megumi, Defender of the Blue Faith, to intercede
Goddamit Ichigo, get back to /ai/.
>it's okay, I'm gonna get pankeeeekiiiii after this, rite?
I loved that episode
I feel like Nozomi would wear that
Because she has to wear some kind of clothes
I do too
There will never be a totally naked anime character
Who is the nicest Precure?
Yuuyuu a cutie
It's not literally the same, but all the good fairy tale episodes are ripped from Yes, plus a handful of other random ones. Kind of pathetic for a series supposed to be based on them.
They both have an old lady general who becomes hot in their young form
And like you said several concepts were recycled all together.
As for characters they are totally different and of course there is the romance angle in Y5 and friendship in Smile
What is Kirara thinking about?
>plus a handful of other random ones
Can you be even more vague?
Both shows have absolutely nothing to do with each other.
This 'Smile is just a poor man's Yes!' meme has been running unchecked for too long now.
Smile is a prettier, goofier, slapstick, more platonic and episodic Yes5 with the relative importance of the Pink and her teammates reversed. They're similar on a lot of points, but all these tonal notes are pretty different, yeah.
It was a lot less like super sentai in theme, fighting and stock footage than Yes5, but ended up with these very gimmicky character episodes that cribbed from ideas that had been used all over the franchise, but they definitely weren't all worse than the original implementations.
Oh, and the suffering. Yes5 had sadness, but Smile loved suffering for some strange reason.
I still don't understand how they made Smile the most damedame, silliest, and yet most suffering without even a hint of self-awareness. There was just no reconciliation in the finale between all of it.
Everything post Smile is suffering, except for Doki and Mana's 15 second outbursts of suffering
You know, I really expected the finale would be a complete parody of that type of arc, by making fun of the drama and tension and things getting darker that are usually seen.
Instead we got a crying fest over Candy and those 3 goofy villains revealed to have tragic backstories.
Your hair looks pretty! Why don't you come in and play with us?
I want to fuck Lala
I would love to play with you, onee-chan!
I want to takkata /ai/'s takkatas.
main villain: Gooyan no En-En and Grell
On some days, this lovely cat can only express the intense music in her soul by channeling her inner Jimmy Hendrix and playing her guitar with her teeth. Looks like her feelings have at least managed to reach Hibiki and Kanade. How about you /pc/? Can you feel her soul's melody?
Crazy idea, but what if the two hats in the Maho Girls logo are actually the same. The hat is normally black because of default witch colors and turns pink when transforming in a cure (star emblem changes to heart) à la Ojamajo Doremi.
Gentlemen prepare your dicks for potentially another longhorntrain doujin that won't be scanned let alone translated.
>Gooyan and Dyspear
well, I guess they're going full final boss team up with this movie.
I really hope this will be the last 'All-Stars' movie because really after you've used this plot element how are you really going to make an even more threatening enemy for the cures?
Also how are they going to explain the bosses that were purified ala Dune, Noise and Red?
not touching SS because it's actually good, but the reason people don't shut up about Doki is because of Regina's design and because Mana is one of the most ridiculous things to come out of a kid's show in years. She's become a meme.
This is a very nice looking enemy.
Even setting aside the actual writing, direction, and such, it will never cease to amaze me how folks can prefer retread city to the seasons that actually did new things.
A clarinet controlling a dog pretending to be a person controlling a whale... It was nothing if not unique.
Perhaps not coincidentally, it's also pretty great.
HaCha movie was almost great, until it cheaped out at the end.
Sad Precure movies are the best Precure movies.
I want to eat out carrot Mana.
Best villain appearing again makes me happy.
Although why Gohyaan? Splash Star is like the least popular and remembered season. It took till Spring Carnival for Toei to even acknowledge Michiru and Kaoru's Bright and Windy forms. Why wouldn't they just put the Dark King in that poster? Surely he has to be in the movie?
I wonder if those poll numbers are because of Matsuki's death and fans taking another look at Splash Star after it.
But the poster is probably a more recent creation.
>I wonder if those poll numbers are because of Matsuki's death and fans taking another look at Splash Star after it.
If so then wouldn't it make more sense to have Mai being the popular one instead of Saki?
NOZOMI IS HOPE
MANA IS LOVE
NAGISA IS APE
>MANA IS LOVE
Why does MPC turn up the pitch when I watch series at twice or 4 times the speed?
Is there any way to counter that pitch change?
In windows media player the pitch remains the same if you speed it up.
Character: Megumi Aino/Cure Lovely
Fandom: Happiness Charge Precure
Reason for Being Hated: Annoying, talks incessantly about love and happiness even when it isn’t needed, bland, stupid, says her catchphrase way too often, overpowered, center of a stupid love triangle between Seiji and Blue, is not a realistic character, gets in the way, indecisive, annoying voice, thinks love solves everything when it doesn’t, not a very good leader, is unrealistically happy a lot of the time, she is not Hime
>your skin will never be as clear, soft, and undamaged as a Cure's
>your hair will never be as soft, silky, and volumous
>your eyes never as bright and mystifying
i hope puberty ruins them all, every single one of them.
though they'll probably still grow to be perfectly beautiful adults/spoiler]
>Maho girls never leaks and the characters are revealed when the PVs at the end of the episodes start coming out
How would /pc/ react?
I don't understand why people seem to prefer shit seasons just because they're "new" and "original". I don't get where this obsession with originality comes from. if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
It's not being good at things that's bad, it's being smug, condescending and unusually elastic. She's like a robot that's hard-coded to be good at things trying to pretend to be human, pretend to be hurt by things, then bounce back to save the day as programmed.
And I can't speak for everyone, but I don't hate her, I just don't like her. It's not exactly apathy but the extent of the reaction I can muster is sighing and shrugging my shoulders at her.
I think robo-Mana the bodysnatcher is my new favorite fan theory.
I don't think anyone does that. The only shit season that's semi-original is Suite, but I'm pretty sure the people who like that just like it because they're del/u/sional, not because of any originality.
Precure's other seasons that tried new things (Futari wa, Fresh, Dokidoki, HaCha) aren't shit.
You're probably remembering Hacha with a filter of hate. I mean, you could earnestly have 47 of the episodes you sat through of something you dislike but watched anyway, but I doubt that.
I'm not sure he even knows her name.
That wasn't even the best episode.
That's true. HaCha hit a lot of shoujo tropes most Precure seasons ignore.
But I want to watch Precure, not Tokyo Mew Mew.
That's super cute.
I would have preferred the "token ultimate end-boss boss" didn't exist and Mirage be the last fight of the season.
Or at the very least, find a way to merge Red and Mirage's fight. Like have blue fight red while Megumi fought Mirage.
That's just one out of a LOT of things I would change about HaCha. \
You can't claim that it's wrong to have plot threads dangling everywhere in the same series that left plot threads dangling everywhere. Especially about Red, his origin, Mirage, Thousands of girls being imprisoned for years, Hime's parents which got two frames of animation out of the whole season, The Embassy thing, the Phantom thing.
I would have preferred Blue getting off scot-free as opposed to Phantom getting off scot-free, which is what happened.
Most of those were answered as much as they needed to be. Red was a different god who got jealous, it's not like they're going to explain where god came from. They showed Mirage and Blue fighting him in a flashback and her falling to evil around that time to be locked away. The girls were imprisoned, what else do you want? Them to release a huge list of all the names of Precure to the public? Hime's parents were freed, had their reunion (just because it's not shown doesn't mean it didn't happen), and went back home. The embassy just means that Blue Sky is a real kingdom (alternate theory: Hime was just lying about the embassy part, it's just a regular home). What about Phantom? That was a well foreshadowed twist, if you want to call it that.
>Most of those were answered as much as they needed to be
Here we go again. every time we talk about HaCha and someone points out the numerous glaring flaws it had, it's always "Well I didn't care about those flaws!"
I felt bad even pointing out that HaCha wasn't a great season because I knew that is exactly what you were going to say.
The Mirage battle was great, the Seiji/Red shit at the end was stupid and unnecessary because it was further bridging the single worst relationship arc in all of Precure. Should have ended three episodes sooner and spent the last three episodes detailing how they were going to finish cleaning up after a worldwide catastrophe.
Nope. Girls were imprisoned for years and we didn't even get to see a reunion for any of them or any explanation of why they were gone. I guess Iona and Marie's parents died or something for all the shits they gave about their missing daughter. Hime's parents could have been cardboard cutouts the whole time. We didn't even get to hear them speak. They didn't even get to say "We've missed you so much Hime!" Nope. Fuck that. Do you even remember that Seiji had a mother that was featured in the show? I barely remembered.
The only relationship that mattered in HaCha was the dogshit that was Megumi's complicated feelings for a married man.
This is the other reason I don't like talking about it. Every time I think about how many plot threads and character arcs they burned for two of the most flaccid characters in a Precure show just makes me regret following it for a full year.
At least you made up some fan theories to justify some of what happened, so go you, I guess.
> But if you don't even want to read them, then it's your choice to be ignorant.
I have read them, dozens and dozens of times every time we have these fucking threads. They're all the same points you always make.
> Red was a different god who got jealous, it's not like they're going to explain where god came from
"It doesn't bother me"
>They showed Mirage and Blue fighting him in a flashback and her falling to evil around that time to be locked away
"I didn't want to see it."
>The girls were imprisoned, what else do you want? Them to release a huge list of all the names of Precure to the public?
"I didn't care to see that resolved"
>Hime's parents were freed, had their reunion (just because it's not shown doesn't mean it didn't happen)
"I didn't want to see that either."
>The embassy just means that Blue Sky is a real kingdom (alternate theory: Hime was just lying about the embassy part, it's just a regular home).
"Here's some fanon, maybe that will make you feel better"
> What about Phantom? That was a well foreshadowed twist, if you want to call it that.
"I'm horny for traps"
What is there to even discuss? Every time we have this discussion it's the same thing. "Those things don't matter, You're just asking too much! Don't be ignorant."
No, fuck that. I asked for basic plot threads to be given some kind of resolution, and it didn't deliver. All of it is either resolved off-camera or ignored, and the defense force has the gall to call that 'resolved'.
I'm not having that conversation again. If you think things they didn't show or think was important enough to dedicate more than a few seconds of animation to count as 'resolved', then we'll have to agree to disagree.
The fact that the show decided that Megumi getting wet over married men is somehow more interesting than the reunion of a worldwide army to fight off corruption that was taking over the planet will always be a baffling concept that no sane person can defend.
>I'm not having that conversation again.
How about not having this conversation again too?
Why can't I stop thinking about some stupid 2D girl?
She is literally perfection.
The crown jewel of Precure.
>"I'm horny for traps"
I think that’s a pretty good reason to like HaCha. Probably the best there is.
Please stop posting lewd images of underaged precure girls kthnx
The two full color precure manga arrived today
They look fantastic compared the black and white manga
Not sure when I'll get the time to scan them though
Do it. Kokoro is a semen demen of the highest degree.
1-hour drawing incoming.
Kimi to te to te tsunaidara, mou tomodachi da yo
Egao no hana o ima sakasete yukou
Doko made mo rabu
Today's theme is the second ending theme of Dokidoki Precure, Love Link.
I still think Doki has the best ED CG.
Reposting these obviously bootleg Doki and Happiness Charge DVD boxes. Tempted to buy one for the lulz.
There's really not much to butcher. As long as the orange one has a terrible accent, the rest is bound to be accurate.
I have no problem with this.
Yayoi will be cute! CUTE!
I hope she doesn't change her whole personality just to cater to boys later on in life. Wacky robot antics and wanting to be a hero is a large part of her charm, "otaku bait" or not.
Childcare person examination pass congratulations
With winter upon us, this lovely cat has decided to don one of her many hoodies! Though wearing a skirt kind of defeats the purpose. Actually, it may not be a skirt at all, considering that P, the inside of the hood, and the skirt seem to follow the same pattern.
I always thought that one texture over the entire piece of clothing thing looked kinda dumb and a bit lazy.
Jesus, okay. Well now I'm a lot more impressed. Is there a fourth image?... I can't remember even seeing one.
I won't lie, when I first saw pics of this girl, I thought she was going to be a bitch kind of like Milky Rose.
But so far, she's alright. She's like this anime's equivalent to the silent protagonist self-insert in your standard RPGs and shit.
>But so far, she's alright. She's like this anime's equivalent to the silent protagonist self-insert in your standard RPGs and shit.
Is that supposed to be a compliment? Those protagonists are shit too.
Chiil out anon, with these cool blues.
I think one in five children who read The Ugly Duckling are left with the impression “Like that would happen!” “Sure, it’s great that YOU were a 'beautiful swan' all along, but what are the ducks who really were ugly ducklings supposed to do?! Show me how the ugly ducks can still be happy!”
That’s why I don’t like stories about people resolving their problems and being happy as much as stories about people finding salvation while their problems remain unresolved. The former may be the happier outcome for the main character, but it has no practical bearing on bystanders who still have unresolved problems. Whereas the latter can be a definite relief for those who have problems which even the main character can’t resolve.
Songs that say “Sometimes the world is harsh, but if you keep trying, good things will happen!” aren’t useful to people who have it rough, are trying, and still have nothing good happening to them. In fact, nothing could sound more cruel. So I prefer songs that make you feel “Regardless of me falling on hard times, being unrewarded for my efforts, and having nothing good happen to me - this song is beautiful!”
I, for the longest time, hated that episode with a passion with wrong reasons. But recently watched it again and thought the lesson delievered in it was really great. It's also refreshing to see an episode where the MCs fail to do something they set out to do.
I disagree. No matter how far down you are, holding the ideal "Good things will happen" can be a beacon of light. Not to mention the fact, good things have already happened. You're one of the luckiest creatures alive, just by being born. Not even counting that you were born in an age where you can be free to be whoever you want.
The notion that "if you keep trying, good things will happen" is ultimately a good one. It's only when you lose your hope that you become someone who views themselves as a "Failure who can keep trying, but will never have anything."
What the fuck did you guys just say about my waifu?
This scene cracked me up
Mana finally beaten and her heart corrupted, 10 seconds later she's fine.
Thought DokiDoki was pretty nice, didn't regret it one bit.
HaCha time tomorrow
Are Mana and Sanae one and the same?
Because brain problems
What are the best super forms?
Nagisa is the king of Precure.
Mana is the queen since she's more elegant
Nozomi is their lovechild
Bunbee is their stepson
You already posted it
So about that one episode when Ryouta had to deliver a memo to his dad...
Is there a reason why his voice was so god awful in that episode, like he was getting ready to turn into an alien or something?
Was the voice actor for him sick?
