>watch first season over break, pretty light hearted and ok
>start second season today
>shit goes from comfy slice of life with special powers to unethical cloning, experimentation, and obscene violence
Holy fuck. I knew I made a mistake by not watching the other series but I figured I'd stick with my choice, but I didn't expect this shit.
that's what you get for watching the spinoff first.
This shit already happened in original season of Index, many years ago. Railgun's version was just visually more pleasing to look at.
Then there's that whole Accel flashback to him not having friends or some shit. Still a great episode, but tried a little too hard to make the moment land considering it didn't need it.
>magic side arcs compared to science side
Railgun's wasn't simply more pleasing to look at. It's not even a contest. Even Index 3 will prove to be far superior to 1 and 2 simply because the science side is way more entertaining.
Read the manga once you're done. It's pretty good.
>Index III will prove something
The only thing Index III will prove is how unbelivable shitty J.C Shit is. Two bombs werent enough.
Imagina how that entire arc would be if Nagai was allowed to do whatever he wanted. I'm sure Accelerator would be defeated by Saten throwing Uiharu's panties in his face and then beating the shit out of him with her bat.
Wasn't the silent party arc all his doing and anime-only?
It was bad enough with the lazy writing for the antagonists and plot in general, but saten piloting a fucking mech and mikoto going to the edge of space to shoot a railgun was over the top.
The "strongest" level 0
The "weakest" level 5.
The best pairing.
infiltrator misaka was one of my favorite parts of this arc
There was no blood in the index version.
Misaka is at her best when she's not playing the tsundere love interest and just getting shit done.
>Misaka is best when she's spilling spaghetti all over the floor.
Pic related seems like a normal highschool boy to me.
She is when her friends are there to control her
Watched Railgun first myself as well, except I did not even know that Index existed, and looking back, I almost wish I never did.
Watching Index completely ruined Touma's character for me. When I first saw him in railgun he was super mysterious and powerful, and I remember nicknaming him the "Mysterious Mr. Awesome" in my head lol. When you see him from this perspective, you almost get why Misaka would take a liking to him: "the strong guy who shows up to save the girl". If that and a few encounters is all you had to go on Misaka could easily end up with an idealized view of him, like I did calling him Mr. Awesome.
Then of course came the disappointment watching index, seeing him as just the usual loser harem guy, seeing him constantly being thrown into excessive fanservice, and giving silly speeches, until there was not an inch of respect for him left in me.
Additionally index seemed to throw in way too many characters, while Rail seemed more focused. The magic arcs I wanted to skip, but railgun and great op's carried me through.
If your opinion is honestly "Misaka is best being clinically retarded around a bland MC that gives no fucks about her" your opinion and taste is shit. Your shitty ship is also the reason most haters exist. Fuck off.
Kamachi's SOL is way better than Nagai's
>gives no fucks about her
And you say my taste is shit.
I might have likes Touma more if I'd gotten into Railgun first. Might. But it's not as if he's a completely different character in Railgun. I'm grateful he saved the Sisters and Accelerator too (let's be real, Accelerator wasn't the real bad guy here and he wasn't treated any better than the Sisters) but he's not exactly "mysterious mr awesome" in either story.
If you like Kamikoto enough to think her retarded scenes with Touma are better than her getting shit done and being a Level 5, your taste is shit and you stick to harem series like Nisekoi where all you get is girls being retarded over MC. Fuck off.
This. Misaka is a cute when she's with Touman.
She's not a moron though, she's very shy and embarrassed but she never does anything overly stupid.
It's obvious if you're calling it cute there's a 99% change you ship it because you think it's cute? The ship and scenes are retarded and completely ruins her character . Which could be so much better if the writer wasn't pandering to shits like you who think Mikoto being retarded is cute
>there are still people who are surprised by this in 2015
Has the manga gone back to being good again, or is it still stuck doing dumb stupid shit? Every time I think something interesting will happen thanks to a cameo that character fucks off after a couple of pages.
Yeah it was, he said in an interview that he didn't want to do the Sisters arc (google it, I'm too tired to look it up)
>all that cut content
They act like a couple who want a divorce. How the fuck is it ever cute?
>he hasn't read new testament 9 yet
This bothers me.
Accelerator as a focus in another NT volume when?
Dude hasn't done anything since NT6. Hamazura was great in NT12 but Accelerator needs time again
that or kurisumasu volume but seeing as NT1-14 took place over the course of a month and they are in early december I doubt we won't get it for another 10 volumes
>mfw the scene after frenda and mikoto's fight
She was so close to selling out ITEM after being bested by an esper inexperienced in combat.
Anyone who seriously says frenda didn't deserve what she got in volume 15 for her betrayal is delusional.
Thinking it's her at her best definitely means you find it enjoyable and positive, even if "cute" isn't the word you want to use. Even if you honestly don't ship it, your taste is unbearably shit if you think Misaka being retarded around Touma is her best, cute, positive, or enjoyable in any way. I'm not the one who doesn't understand how language works here.
>Bitch tried to kill you and stop you from saving your sisters
>Oh damn looks like she's about to fall off and die, guess I'll help her and ignore the events of the last 20 mins
Dumb bitch like all the other females in the series.
>we will never get another chapter as great as NT7 C2 again
at least tsuchimikado was a hero in NT13 by kiting everyone away from the destruction during the rapist chase thing
I hope he's okay after the events of NT14
>I'm not the one who doesn't understand how language works here.
You put words in my mouth and then make assumptions based on that. I understand that perfectly well, bro.
But stay mad that people like what you don't like, I'm sure an attitude like that will help you out in life. Meanwhile have some cute kamikoto stuff.
I dont care that you like it. But it's disgusting you think that shit is better than Misaka being awesome. Now tell me again how you're totally not a shipfag and I'm just "imagining" it
>tfw seria will never get her time to shine
She's an interesting character with potential to back touma up from the dark. It's a shame we got that dumb volume for misaki that went nowhere
>I dont care that you like it.
Ok dude. Also
>Not getting irony
>Caring more about boring action scenes than character interactions.
Don't worry, you'll understand once you're past puberty.
So is it safe to say that Touma is over his PTSD of Magic Gods now? I'm sure that his scars still remain from the infinite hells Othinus put him through. But it seems his attitude towards Magic Gods did a 180 this volume now that he learned that High Priest sacrificed himself for Othinus and saw that Nephthys sacrificed herself for Patricia.
WHERE'S MY FUCKING RAILGUN MANGA TRANSLATIONS?
I NEED MY FRENDA-SLUTEN FIX AND CH 80'S BEEN OUT FOR A MONTH
Seriously though, what's taking them so long to release Ch 80? Ch 81 just came out two days ago
>All of these people only caring about Misaka doing cute stuff and cute scenes with Touma
Sasuga Railgun-only fags. It's all about the bros anyway.
>gunha on the roof
Is anyone else fucking ready to see ITEM get blown the fuck out already?
They're so smug in all of their railgun scenes. I just want to see based kakine wreck their shit and teach them a lesson.
This was a great episode with a 12/10 ED transition:
>tfw "yakusoku suru yo"
Touma sure is dreamy.
What did they cut? The Sisters arc in Railgun S is pretty painstakingly faithful.
Is the railgun manga really this irrelevant? Where are the translations for the new chapters?
I'm not saying it's terrible because it's not in any sense of the word but I don't care for the ending or what came after. Not buying Othinus's "punishment and redemption". So I'm not considering NT9 a highlight because of shitty conclusion. Of course if Othinus gets punished, truly redeemed, or turns out to have been tricking Touma, I'll change my opinion. But she'll likely stay the way she is now
Not everyone has to be an accelerator or worst. Dude just wanted to be shown some love from Aleister.
He did turn into a turbo dick in NT but at least he redeemed himself by understanding the power of protecting loli smiles.
She's dead so she won't be seeing any more.
Can someone tell me why half of the level 5's are fucking criminals or members of the "dark side" of the city?
All of them are crazy in some way too. The only one I can't say that about for sure is aihana etsu, but he or she is probably no different.
>Can someone tell me why half of the level 5's are fucking criminals or members of the "dark side" of the city?
>All of them are crazy in some way too
You answered your own question, to be a lvl 5 you gotta be somewhat insane. I mean to use these powers you literally have to believe that you can shoot lightning.
Read the manga for railgun and the light novel for index. Railgun has another arc on par with the sisters' but it hasn't been animated yet, and index gets pretty good where its anime stops.
Gunha is #7 so it fits, although the current Kakine Teitoku is a good guy. Mugino is still pretty violent I guess. I'm curious to see if the #6 turns out to be good or bad when they reveal themselves.
Were you not paying attention? Espers and magic cause a nasty backlash in the human body. Only Accelerator and Tsuchimikado can use magic while being espers and even then it's rough. Accelerator has to put all of his focus into not self-destructing and Tsuchimikado only survives due to auto-regen.
Just throw Alfar into a Level 5 party and hope one of them evolves to a state where they can become Level 6, done.
That is not what I was trying to upload at all
If that was possible Aleister would have done it a long time ago. I guess the closest they have is Accelerator with the black wings and that angel shit he turned into at the end of WW3.
If anyone is going to shift levels, it's takitsubo. That whole AIM diffusion shit where she could possibly create and remove powers needs to be resolved.
That's concerning using esper and mages using their own powers.
Doesn't mean that magical people can't do stuff to affect other espers, maybe even increasing their powers.
Hell, the scientific way in the story of making a level 6 is them having a level 5 killing a level 3 thousands of times. I want to see what a magical guy would come up with.
Would've been hype if she showed up like that in battle royale.
As soon as she changes clothes she becomes a miracle of the universe.
Any magic that could do something like that would likely trigger the backlash. The backlash like has something to do with flowing mana, since even a simple and unintended spell activating briefly will cause it That said, we still don't know enough about Accelerator's wings.
I can't stand watching the clones die.
On the other hand, the Accel vs Touma battle was way more stylish and cool. Considering it's Misaka's perspective Touma naturally appeared more badass and Accelerator seemed more frightening.
I don't remember the exact reason, but if it was because Touma beating up Accelerator then that's gotta be a bullshit reason.
Touma has Imagine Breaker.
And talking about Imagine Breaker, that should be magical, right? If a magical thing can totally nullify magic and esp alike why shouldn't it also be able to create esp or amplify them as well?
No that's not what he's saying, he's talking about mages casting spells on espers to buff them, espers backlash comes from them casting the spells themselves, that's why magicians were trying to trick Accel into casting magic with foot movements in Hawaii.
Casting spells on espers has already been proven to work fine without any backlash when Stiyl stabilized Himegami.
There is no real "why". The entire experiment was a sham from the start, Aleister just wanted an excuse to spread clones all over the world so AIM could be linked through the Misaka Network, why the hell he's doing that is up for debate but it's likely linked to the imaginary numbers district.
If it was made by Magic Gods to undo phase changes wouldn't that make it magic.
It appeared because of them, but the fundamentals that Birdway explained in that shitty infodump NT2 don't apply to imagine breaker at all.
If it was, then Touma's body would be damaged like when Tsuchimikado tries to use magic.
The point of the level 6 shift for Accelerator was to fail so that Aleister could spread the sisters for whatever plan he has. Judging by what it did to Vento it seems to involved spreading AIM but I can't say for certain.
IB is on a higher conceptual level than mere magic.
I'd say Level 6 is probably more like Angels myself, since if I remember they only said that Level 6 would be able to observe God or whatever it was, not that they would replace him. I don't know if mages buffing espers would actually work, but considering that Aleister is the guy working on them I'd say there's a chance.
>If it was, then Touma's body would be damaged like when Tsuchimikado tries to use magic.
I have no idea what you're trying to tell me.
I'm saying that if imagine breaker was magical, it would damage Touma's body when used because espers and magic are incompatible. Even if touma doesn't have an esper ability, he still went through Academy City's special procedures.
No level 0 can use magic. Hamazura would be all over that shit if it was.
>I don't get it, why is some guy's secret plan with spreading clones also involve killing them all.
To involve touma/accel/mikoto and get them to meat each other. Also so they could just be like " oh this experiment failed we're just gonna send these failures all over the world because they're failures."
Yes. A lot of shit in the series was part of the plan, Touma's involvement included. Tsuchimikado specifically told Aleister that throwing Touma into those situations like that would likely come back to bite him.
Imagine Breaker wouldn't necessarily backlash if it were magical, I'm relatively sure the backlash comes from the whole aspect of a spell reordering the mana/lifeforce within your body and not just because magic is present. There is nothing saying that just holding something that is magic causes backlash on espers, Accel was able to hold diagrams or whatever the shit was in WW3 to save LO to no ill effect, Imagine Breaker isn't a spell so it wouldn't cause any backlash to Touma.
Get whoever makes gekota merchandise to create an ultra special once-in-a-lifetime gekota toy that is made from diamond or some rare material
Create 20,000 shirai kuroko clones equipped with her trademark perversion and force mikoto to get through them all to reach the gekota prize. Surely she'd be some unrecognizable god-like level 6 being at the end of that gauntlet.
Since Sargasso got the shit bombed out of it his container or whatever likely broke and he could have gotten away, the only question is when the hell he's going to show up.
Hey, they're not failures. They may be level 2's but they're still military clones.
Seria got them to pull off commando rescue missions around the world and some of them faced tank units and other shit. It's all in the SS2, it was a nice read.
They say it in the Misaki arc of Railgun she's screwed in the head. Not as bad as the other lvl 5 but someone who can believe she has the power to shoot lightning is pretty screwed up.
Not really. She did snap and try to get herself killed by accelerator but that's about as far as she gets. Her level 6 shift doesn't really count either.
#5 Misaki isn't really crazy at any point though, don't know why she's lumped in with the likes of accel, kakine, and mugino.
>tfw no one remembers or cares about this qt
Hope Misaka 19090 puts those emotions she received to use.
Most people probably can't tell but she has complete paranoia towards anybody she can't control who isn't Touma or Dolly. Seria is probably the only person she'll trust to some extent and even that is limited to one very specific topic.
I can see it.
>touma, accel, and mikoto all get their time to shine
>the GOAT thug who went from zero to hero without any powers will probably never get his due
Man, this is cringeworthy
I still like it, but only now I realised how I want Index III. I thought you guys were just whinning faggots, now I'm the one as well.
Watch this, it's really well made and it'll hype you up even more.
It's possible the issue may never be dealt with again, but I think it was implied she understands the situation was more complicated and less straightforward than what she witnessed. That doesn't mean she'll buddy up with him or even stop holding it against him, but I think she understands enough to know a violent grudge wouldn't put her in the right.
I think the grudge thing was taken care of pretty well using Misaka Worst. Mikoto and Accel definitely had some friction during NT3 but it doesn't look like they'll be at each other's throats in the future.
If JC Staff just wants to bring in that waifu cash they should animate Railgun 3 already.
They'll get plenty of money from the mikoto/misaki fanbase and the rest of us will get to see #7's debut animated along with the god tier team up. Everyone leaves happy.
Basically, one of them is bullshit and I'm more inclined to believe it's Worst. I don't see the Will being some fake trick done by Aleister but I suppose it's possible. Worst seems more like the mindfuck trick
Fuck, I hadn't considered Will-tan being used by Aleister. Now that I think of it there is no way he'd simply let Othinus have her way and destroy the world without some keikaku.
She's definitely not fake though.
Raildex was really much better when Accel and Saints were the pinnacle of powerlevels.
Kamachi fucked up so hard with all this NT shit. Series completely lost it's charm.
i'm curious how much content there is available to adapt right now, like how many episodes or seasons could be made with all the stuff that's not been animated yet
seems like there'd be a lot of it, and if so begs the question as to why they haven't yet, considering i remember this show selling pretty well
The omnipotent crap is retarded as fuck.
If anything save it for the ending at least when T-man gets his upgrade and shitty "I have to save muh loved ones" speech on the brink of death
Sisters in Railgun > Sisters in Index. I didn't care for it much reading the volume/watching it in Index, while Railgun turned it into my favorite arc in the series (NT not accounted for, haven't caught up yet)
Agreed, it's really hard to care about most characters in the series these days now that full 99% of them have been made essentially as irrelevant as Saten in the grand scheme of things.
i always hated touma, but damn accel deserved that punch in the face for what he did to that clone and the other clones. It fealt great having that nigga gets his face bashed in
It's less satisfying when you realize Accelerator was basically a victim too. Sure, Touma wasn't wrong for saving the Sisters, even Accelerator would agree with that. But it's less "haha, the shit got what he deserved!" when you factor in the rest of the story
Unfortunately the narrative won't allow for her to ever be useful as a level 5. Are we supposed to start hating the character because the author is being difficult? I'll take what Misaka I can get. She's the only reason this franchise has existed up until this point, and for good reason. Even her forced cameos and irrelevance are more entertaining than what passes for the plot these days. Raildex is Bleach-levels of retardation at this point. Kamachi marginalized and made obsolete every factor that made Raildex great in the first place. He had an all star cast by volume 6. I get so depressed thinking about what could have been.
>Thinks Misaka has carried the series
>Not Touma, Accelerator, and Hamazura
Yeah, no. Stick to the Railgun manga if you want to see more of your precious Misaka so much. Misaka trying to get shoehorned in the Index novels is just one of the worst things. Literally exists for the purpose of stalking Touma's dick and does not even contribute much.
That's why everything up to the end of WW3 needs to be animated. There is enough content there for two seasons and it's at the peak of the series where shit gets good.
What they decide to do with NT doesn't really matter as long as they get this part right. I personally don't think it'll get a TV spot since there is so much build-up to NT 9 it's absurd.
Listen, I love Misaka (she's my second favorite character) but you're just fan wanking if you really think she's the only think that's carried this series. Want to know why it's retarded to say she's carried this series? Because of the exact problem being complained about. She does nothing except pander to people with shit taste who think her being retarded around Touma is cute, endearing or enjoyable instead of doing more worthwhile things. It is sad to think she could be far more awesome than she is.
I would prefer it if the crush on Touma didn't exist and her reason to continue appearing were tied to her being a high ranked esper with a small army of military clones, not "I want to be retarded over my first crush that simple common sense should tell me won't work out"
The magic gods were a mistake. What was kamachi thinking? How can he come back from this mess?
In the past few volumes we went from magic gods being that dark looming threat after a single one required 8 volumes of build up and 2 climax to having some smug cunt show up and kill dozens of them.
I'm honestly afraid of seeing what kamachi will do with invisible thing and aleister. Hell, even Aihana etsu isn't safe from this madness.
I honestly think Kamachi has been keeping this series going too long and adds too much new stuff each volume. Wasn't Othinus first mentioned way back in OT? And magic gods themselves wee mentioned in the first volume. I'm wondering if IT and Aleister aren't Kamachi trolling us
I actually like that Kamisato is genociding the Magic Gods. Doing that should set back the power level scale a bit because it was kind of retarded that they held 99% of the world's magic even though we've had all of these other strong magicians in the series.
If you like Magic with shounen battle harem Protagonist going through shit and more cast, Index. If you like Science and cute girls doing cute things with a bit of yuri and Tsundere Protagonist, Railgun. Of course there's the option of watching both and/or reading the Novels/Manga instead.
The difference between OT and NT is staggering.
OT post-anime only had 14 and 16 being average, the rest were good to great. NT on the other hand only has 9 and 10 going for it, even 4 and 7 if you're generous.
>the rest were good to great
Sure they were anon, book of law and ice boats were great arcs. I'd argue the opposite, there's quite a few meh or bad volumes in OT, but in NT only NT2, 3 and 11 have been all that bad, everything else has been pretty good.
This series would've been god tier if they focused entirely on science + academy city's dark side.
Mikoto becoming a part of the underworld would have been neat to see. We never really see how #1, #2, and #4 got to where they were.
The fact that those volumes were shit is a given, we've seen it in the anime and there isn't much more to be said.
The reason why I'm only focusing on 14-22 is because that's where the anime stopped and the LN reached a consistent level of quality.
I'm simply pointing out that ratio-wise there's about the same amount of meh/bad volumes in both, acting like early volumes don't count for whatever reason is your call to make.
It's not exactly like he explained. It shows her perspective of the sisters' arc as well as the daihaseisai (although it's something that happened the day after but was significantly better).
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the current railgun arc takes place 3 days before volume 15 and features ITEM. They need to translate that already.
science > magic, that's all there is to it
Because Railgun had more care and budget put into it and it was written way after the first volumes of Index so it benefited from having a more experienced writter and an already built world.
>the number of characters is increasing by quite a bit once again. Sorry that keeps happening. Thank you very much for sticking with me.
Am i the only one who thinks kamachi knows exactly what he is doing wrong but doing it anyway?
And that is why it's good. I didn't like season 1 outside of a few episodes but episodes 5 to about 17 of season 2 were damn good.
Sorry senpai, that is all I have.
Marian and Oumi Shuri too, Oumi especially, having a loli ninja stalk Gunha and try to figure out how to use his power for her clan could be great
Depends what you define as relevant, he's not relevant in most of the Dark Side arcs since those are Hamazura's and Accelerator's novels, but he was "relevant" in Baggage City, Agitate Halation and every arc that mixed magic and science like the Dianoid, Vento attacking AC, Fraulien, etc.
There was one gutless perfect person who could have done that.
Where the hell'd you get that from? Even BT has better images.
Regardless, Neph is the embodiment of going with the flow, she wouldn't oppose Gunha and reel in his craziness, she'd cry shout and laugh right along with him.
>It's not Touma who needs to correct Kamisato, it's Gunha.
Agree.Gunha vs Kamisato when?
Now that you've mentioned it Saiai and Gunha would either get along amazingly or oppose each other at every turn, and it would be super.
I wouldn't call forcing a guy to go through your experiences and hells so he understands you "going with the flow". Neph just flicks on the television and she's already crying and empathizing with the characters on screen.
I forgive Mugino because she's sexy. Even as a cyborg
>Say there is a power that could defeat the demon king who ruled over evil.
Demon king=Magic god
>The hero who possessed that power would likely be happy.
>But not because he (or she) had been born with a special power.
>It would be because he knows what his power is for and the world around him is widely aware of that fact.
>Therefore, he would always know what path to take. No matter how powerful the demon
>king may be, he would never have to fear him. And even if he did take the wrong path
>and tried to live a different life, the majority of the people would act as guide rails and
>prevent him from living any other life. That may be restrictive, but it could also be seen
>as promising him a stable path to success.
>They have no objective.
>They simply have the power.
>What happens when an existence like that is let out into the world?
>What happens when they have no guidance or direction and so they chaotically wield a power great enough to instantly kill the demon king?
Probably building on High Priest talk to Touma about how the Magic Gods have helped him get to where he is now, Kamisato is something like Touma would be if no one like the MG or Aleister were guiding him along rails perhaps
Man, without images in-between the difference strikes like a track.
Part of the reason I have a tough time trying to reread the novels, the difference is striking
>Probably building on High Priest talk to Touma about how the Magic Gods have helped him get to where he is now,
>“Although, if we’re talking about destiny, then you would be the sole exception. Thanks to your Imagine Breaker, even the vague power >of us Magic Gods is uniformly leveled out. That keeps any large waves away from you alone and keeps you in constant misfortune.”
Touma having a harem has nothing to do with the magic gods which is one difference to kamisato.
I wasn't talking about his harem per se, and I meant the section at the start of NT13
“You have ended up at the center, but that is not necessarily because of your own actions
or because of overlapping coincidences. What if someone set it up that way and lifted you
to that spot? For example, some people who can destroy something as incomprehensibly
large as the world with a single fingertip.”
“I refer to us, the true Gremlin.”
“You might think the true Gremlin focused on you because you saved a girl, protected
Academy City, ended World War III, reached an understanding of Othinus, and brought
calm back to a world boiling over with revenge. …But isn’t that backwards?”
“From the very beginning, you were the scorer meant to view the world. You were the
being hypothesized by us Magic Gods who are the gears of the world. That is why you
worked toward a resolution without being thrown off track during those aforementioned
incidents. Imagine Breaker is merely an addition to your true nature." "The name Kamijou Touma, or the One who Purifies
Gods and Slays Demons, was not given to the power of your right hand. It was given to
you, wasn’t it? Thus, the center of the issue is not the records of your past or the power in
your right hand. It is you yourself.”
I don't see how they can't be both true, MGs could affect him from before he got IB, I doubt it's impossible to as a person is being born say "I want that kid to have x y and z parameters, that will make him a good scorer for us" and that they couldn't affect him after but affected the world around him to shape him as he is, nature/nurture and all that.
>The Observer simply remains by your side at all times and watches everything you do. They know the answers to the questions before they are given, they compile it all, and they construct a massive collection of information.”
Is it the narrator?
Where do you think we are champ
By this time Kuroko should be with her husband taking care of their children
He will change his mind.
>“Yes. It is merely a matter of sooner or later.
Magic gods are incomprehensibly.I don´t think any of them are truly dead.
They get always what they want for better or worse.
That would still be him dying as a Magic God though, and I imagine if Aleister's the one who did it and he was giving him a message about his daughter he's dead.
>Wanting a wrinkly baby's first words to be Uho hoi
>dying as a Magic God
That would be enough for aleister wouldn´t it?
Doesn´t seem like the Mg realy meant harm to Aleister.
They treated him like a child who just doesn´t know it better.
How the magic gods treated Aleister doesn't mean Aleister isn't mad at them for causing his daughter's death. Point is if anyone can permanently kill a magic god it's silver star.
If she was important, why wasn't she mentioned at the end during Laura's discussion with Aleister?
On that note, why do Laura and Aleister talk all the time despite the fact that they're enemies? Is it like some kind of chess game for them and they actually appreciate each other despite being on opposite sides?
i miss old raildex threads.
I just said it's not a wild claim, she's not the very worst I'll agree with you, but she's bottom 5 so it's not a shocking thing to hear especially when compared to a mid tier girl.
I miss the silly shit we used to come up with
Why is everyone in this show a dork?
That was the Queen.
Laura had her control on her possession.
Seriously the Queen should fuck off and shove Curtana on her ass, who the fuckk leaves the fucking control in the open.
What happened to him anyway, did he kill himself because his ship never set sail?
Probably dormant like 70% of the fanbase. I kinda miss him. I honestly miss a lot of the fags back in the day. Even the name/tripfags were somewhat respectable. I miss the fun we used to have as a fanbase, making dumb jokes like >>134178499
Imagine: Your school wants you to play make believe so you can finally develop your special mind powers of no practical use, and any efforts to develop said power will land you at the doorstep of a band of freaks put together by a grown-up test tube baby. Piss any female off with your power and you'll get your face caved in by a veritable harem god, or a bunch of wishy-washy angels. If you want to avoid all this and remain at the bottom of society, you'll be eternally harassed by the literal thousands of delinquents in every alleyway of the city.
Is surprising they even try to maintain cognitive functions with a fate like that.
There was a Misaka hate copypasta circulating around, and someone in the old Raildex General tweaked it to talk about pancakes instead. It was silly and stupid as shit, but it was fun and poked fun at asshat haters. We felt united back then.
I'll try to find it real quick
That's because NT hasn't been an interesting ride.
In OT we used to come up with a lot of theories based on religious stuff like god, angles and thelema and what not.
Now with Othinus arc Kamachi literally killed the speculation fuel and we got nothing in exchange.
I'm not saying those threads were perfect because shit posting existed but at least it made post like 20 times in the same thread following the discussions.
>No practical use
I could think of plenty of practical uses for shit like Dark Matter and Mental Out every day. Even just the teleporters, guys who can see into the future, telekinetics, electromasters and pyrokinetics all will have varying amounts of use in their day to day lives with those powers.
The thelema stuff at least is still plenty valid. Any other religion could have spawned Magic Gods like Norse did Othinus, and there's no way they're staying dead, you're just giving up.
Not a single time it was brought up in NT.
>any other religion could have spawned MGs
That's not the point.
There was a process there were hints we were supposed to read in it and NT skipped them to show that there were MG who were systematically whiped out for plot sake.
Also the point of Christian speculating was that at the very end of WW3 its God was nowhere to be seen.
That aside even NT doesn't bothers to talk about it despite having Kamisato being a pawn for Laura, a Christian archbishop.
>you're just giving up
I can't have a a fuck speculation thread talking to myself you know?
Well I guess more than half of the population is going to be level 0 or 1, but if you actually get a power most often it's going to be of some nominal use, even Uiharu's useless power can be used for little things like she's shown with keeping food warm, or as anon's have pointed out overclocking your computer no worries.
Worst case scenario you have a party trick, I'd roll on those odds. Not like the Level 0's don't get an education like everywhere else and you live in a high tech city so whatever.
That's the last volume released not the 13 volumes before that.
and it even wasn't the theme of the volume.
It would be actually good, but that's gonna be put on a bus until Kamachi feels like it.
Next volume is gonna be about some other unrelated shit.
England Arc 2 fucking when.
AC hasn't been a good scenary as of late.
Something tells me you either have selective reading or you weren't around for the threads as the volumes came out. People discussed many things about the volumes, what they mean to the overall setting and what might happen in the future as a result, you just glossed over them, hell just in this thread me and another anon were talking about the possibility of Touma becoming who he is only due to the magic god's interference and his role as a scorer, fuck off with your nostalgia goggles and try to bring up something to discuss if you think it's so bad these days.
I'm just hoping the Indian Poker conspiracy isn't revealed to be something as low-key as the ability to implant your own personality on those who use your cards, thus gaining a form of immortality where you will literally live on in the hearts of others.
It better be more clever than that.
>Implying there wasn't an abundance of waifuposting back then
>Implying the one just bitching on his own isn't the one dragging down the thread
Do something about it if it bothers you rather than wasting oxygen, there's plenty to talk about and speculate about, you're just not trying.
But it´s not because there is no stuff to speculate.
What is the cristian god.
What is fraullein kreutine
What is stored in Ryouran Maid School?
How does the Archetyp controllar works exactly?
What is the deal with girl with Headband.
What will aleister do with Will-chan.
Why exist Maids in Acadamy city?
Are there intelligent bacteria on the Mars?
What porpuse will Alfar have in the Main story?
How is the place were the Magic Gods make vaccation?
It wasn't as dominating as now.
And it's worse because falseflaggers wouldn't be a thing if so many retards didn't take the bait.
It bothers me as much as it bothers you ie I don't give a fuck.
I started with making comparisons, and one person trying isn't gonna change it, already tried that and it died, leave that to others.
How is the magic gods refuge anyways? Aleister ran in to kick them out and make them power down to walk on earth most likely, but the question of how it could exist outside of the universe that Othinus was changing with her phases and still be found by Aleister is a bit odd.
Is it just on a higher dimension or something? Or is it like in the crossover and was considered a parallel world to the main one?
You think that the Magic Gods were in every world Othinus made then just hiding behind the scenes? That would be amusing in it's own way but they'd still have to have a way for their room to be entirely unaffected by all the phase changing, which High Priest implied was very hard to do with his example given of all the magic gods painting on one canvas. If they had to remake the room every time I think Othinus would have noticed and/or they would have been visible in the Black World.
In the ground or something could work I guess, it would still mean they had a way to remain unaffected by phase changes in there though, part of WR's function before they gave it away maybe
Othinus wasn't as knowledgeable as the others thus never thought of the idea of finding the scorer on Touma.
Still find hilarious how Touma gets mad at HP at the idea of him becoming a manager of MG blessings but then finds Kamisato on a similar situation and lectures him about how thankful he should be with MGs in the same day.
So was Othinus what's your point, HP saying they're all painting on one canvas clearly depicts them as being able to interfere with each other. If one of them could paint and then make it unchangeable afterwards they wouldn't need a scorer as there'd be one immutable god on top.
>as the others thus never thought of the idea of finding the scorer on Touma.
She didn´t need to.Because she had a purpose.Every MG wants to save others but Othinius wanted more.
Touma mostly got mad at High Priest offering Touma the ability to change whatever values he wanted to on earth from what I remember. I don't think he was too opposed to the idea alone of trying to stop the MGs from going too crazy with their powers. Kamisato was an entirely different matter anyways, he wasn't mad about being told to do something by the Magic Gods, they didn't care about him at all, he was just mad at the "brainwashing" and bothering his normal life.
In one sense you can twist Othinus wanting to go home as her saving her friends, since she didn't think they were the same anymore. Amusingly that's the exact problem Kamisato has, guess Kamisato just needs to find his S mode.
They reached a consensus because they are aware if their limits/restrictions as MGs.
A blessing is a blessing, isn't like those affected would be aware or care for the matter or even do something about it.
Yea but you don´t even need to twist it.
>Where had she hidden what it was she had originally wanted to do?
>For example, there was the time she had wished for something that did not change as she stood before the collection of scratches that had vanished in a night.
>For example, there was the time she had thought about justice and peace in a world of nothing but unpleasant smiles.
I think the difference Touma was making was opportunities vs blessings. The Magic Gods "gave" Kamisato WR which gave him the opportunity to gather all those girls around him and save people, but if it were somehow confirmed that the Magic Gods had been directly interfering in people's lives and brainwashing them like they offered to do for Touma I think he'd be against that as well.
>finds Kamisato on a similar situation
The situation wasn't similar at all. Kamisato inadvertetly receives a power from the magic gods and Touma rejects recieving any more power. The whole point is that Touma thinks you should learn to live with who and what you are instead of lashing out like Kamisato is doing.
It does need a slight amount of twisting though due to it's inherently selfish nature, she's not saying just that she thinks her friends are upset/in danger/different and she wants to stop that from happening for their sakes, because honestly they couldn't give a damn. She wants to change it because she was unhappy with the way it was.
I'm no math buff but I think imaginary numbers are also used for parts of reality that aren't the usual 3D space we think of as reality, that's why one of my suggestions was they were on a higher plane.
That's their own choice, both are set minded on them.
Not accepting the other view and dealing with it is as bad as the other trying to do something about what they think is right while ignoring others words on the matter.
The magic gods don't always seem to do it selfishly though, High Priest for example changed his entire plan for saving the world once his burial was rejected rather than insist on doing it his way like Touma and Othinus.
WHY DIDNT ACCELERATOR RAPE THE SISTERS LIKE THE UNSTABLE DEGENERATE HE IS REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
If anyone in raildex was at risk of sexual violence it was hamazura.
As weird as it sounds, raping them would have completely killed any fan sympathy for him. And y'know, this is a story meant for teenagers anyway.
Though to be honest I thought it has hot when he introduced himself to Misaka. I half expected him to steal her first kiss to rub salt in the wound.
