the anime didn't start of well at all. it came out when the new censorship laws were put into place and considering the amounts o gore that were censored, it kept the series from being sold well.
the manga however did fair really well and grew in popularity. ay the moment there's 2 more manga spin offs coming out (keiji and Asimov)

it's only on its 15th volume and about 17th if youre counting the raws. you just had the roaches land on earth, the rescue ship take off with less than 10 survivors, and alot of fights on their way. there's nothing wrong with building suspense considering it's a WEEKLY MANGA.

While the story isn't the best, I think a lot of the characters are very good and interesting. I really like Keiji, Liu, Xi, Komachi, and Sylvester.

I never said that, I just don't think they're bad characters. I find many of them quite enjoyable, that's all.
I got into it because I like Tachibana's weird art style and heard it was dumb fun with enjoyable.
I got what I came for.
