Does it seem like Masaru is leading everyone to anyone else? He fucking swoops in and leads the charge, Taichi's Agumon is jealous of his, he gets the coolest moments, OmegaShoutmon, the leader of the local heroes, fights alongside him, and he's just. Well. Masaru fucking steals the entire show.

Strictly put, in most canons, Digimon have no physical sexes (the conversation with Renamon and Ruki's family doesn't differentiate in Japanese in their language doesn't typically differentiate between gender identity and biological sex, so it's more likely they meant the latter).

Exceptions exist obviously, like in XW canon where Cutemon has parents, and Frontier where there are male and female variants of Burgemon that have children

But it seems that for Adventure, Savers, and Tamers they have gender, but biological sex is purely superficial. Meaning they don't have sex organs or the ability to reproduce.

In Another Mission, the Savers PS2 game, Yuma has a Renamon that's explicitly male, but still evolves into Sakuyamon. Think about that for a second.

Basically that episode is a retelling of H.P. Lovecraft's Cthulhu story. They say the hangyomon aren't even Digimon so I think the implication is that it's the real Cthulhu and his Deep One servants. I really don't know though.

Each game is super-grindy in it's own way. I had a shit ton of fun grinding cards and evolutions in DW3, but it has some objectively bad aspects to it

Otherwise, a bit of 02 would explain why Takeru and Hikari's Digivices look different. Also who those people in shades you'll see at the beginning of the movie.

And that's it. The villain of the movie, Alphamon, in the background lore of Digimonverse as a whole, is part of a group known as the Royal Knights, but in the movie there's not yet any indication that Royal Knights is actually a thing, so just assume there's no Royal Knights for now.

The first Digimon World on the Playstation was fun for me. I liked how the city grew.

The latest Digimon World: Re Digitize was also fun. Played it on the PSP simulator. 10/10

The final boss follows a scripted sequence you can abuse, and by the time Apocalymon is a thing you already have some of the best shit in the entire game.
And then there's Betamon, who has a deck with multiple copies of the Sevens and high tier Perfects but the AI for him is specially terrible (you'll see him start with 2 Perfects, Downloader, and he'll summon one of those, disregard the Download, and use his second Perfect as support, and finally discard his Downloader next turn, a LOT of times)

Reminder that TailmonXWizarmon is objectively the best pairing.

Both Xros Wars manga and anime exists in completely disconnected from the original anime universes.

In the anime's case, they brought similar, yet different versions of the previous season characters that only exists in the anime Xros Wars multiverse (hence why Grani was still alive) while in the manga's case, events with superficial similarity to the ones from other digimon media happened, hence why we have an ulforce vdramon whose background story resembles zeromaru's but is a different character and ditto with Tailmon and wizardmon.
