Is Ryuuji the best male love-interest in all romance anime?
>not taking shit from your tsunderfu and bullying her back
Real alpha here
You are kidding me? In the very first episode he got his ass kicked by a bitch who has half his size and height. He was constantly slapped around and beaten throughout the entire show. Hell even he kissed that cunt, she insulted it.
For a guy who is such a beta faggot who never stands up for himself to be labelled the best male love interest of all time is a joke.
Let me tell you the guy on the left is miles and I mean miles ahead of this guy as a male protagonist.
He's not a doormat. The anime violence, which isn't meant to be taken seriously, isn't that frequent in the first place. Taiga is ungrateful and rude but Ryuuji is a borderline masochist and loves it. He enjoys doing chores and does it for himself first and foremost. He's an interesting character because he has this unusual personality that isn't self-insert friendly.
>gets slapped around the whole show
Seriously? I do not remember him being slapped around during the whole thing, it was like that in the very beginning but as things progressed he started getting a lot more respect from everyone.
Also, being a nice person is not the problem, the hate should be aimed at those who take advantage of that and not the other way around. Taiga may not be the best female love-interest but that does not make him the same.
I dont understand why /a/ hates clannad+afterstory so much.
Fuck you /a/, i like clannad+AS.
I like all three Kyoani Key adaptation MCs. Having great seiyuu (Ono-D, Sugita, Nakamura) definitely made them more memorable, but writing wise they are miles ahead of other series' dubm fucks.
Afterwards pessimistic/sarcastic MCs (instead of genki & stupid or generic & dense/indecisive) got lot more popular (also thanks to Kyon), but none of them acted or sounded convincing enough to be really likable.
That's why his relationship sucks. At the end Ryuuji tamed the Tiger while Saito keeps arguing with his bitch.
Ryuuji is a good romantic interest and instead of taking shit like you said the guy was smart to not take the ramblings of a slim little brat too seriously and even called her on her bullshit at key moments making her realize his worth to the point she started to appreciate him by her own will. Not many MC's can brag of such an accomplishment. Instead they get down to their level and start bitching back or get worse and become full on abusive bastards going brute forcing their love.
That being said Kyon is the superior love interest. Similar to Ryuuji but smarter and superior in almost every way.
The problem with Tada Banri is that there really is no way a plot that involves selective amnesia is gonna be decent.
If they dropped the whole muh memories and muh ghost thing and just focused on him dealing with college, a crazy ojou girlfriend, the flirty senpai, and the homo bro everything would have been a lot better.
DID SOMEONE SAY TADA BANRI?
>if you dislike Toradora you're from /r9k/
If you like Toradora, you're from MAL or Gaia.
This is not what i said. What i said was that the /r9k/ posters are claiming that Ryuuji is a "pussywhipped" beta or whatver, while he's in fact just a nice person. Then again, due to /r9k/ rules all women are literally Hitler so they would end up stealing his money and keking him with a black guy or something.
Speaking of Toradora, December is almost here. I'm ready to join this year's rewatch.
you may be talented, but you're not kanye west
Not at all. It doesn't even come close to pic related
The whole final arc and 3rd season was literally all due to a misunderstanding. Once Shana talked to Yuuji whe agreed with him. Think about all the fighting that could have been avoided and all the fucking they could have done instead.
Wasn't Shana still against Yuuji's plan of altering the rules of the world even when she learned it was for her sake due to the possibility of something going wrong?
Miketsukami in Inu x Boku is my favorite male lead, but at the same time I could understand why some people hate characters that are written to be too perfect. Ryuuji is the perfect mix of competence and realistic.
Miketsukami is unhealthily obsessed with Ririchiyo, though. I mean, he's a good guy, but he's borderline yandere.
