Guts will have to wait 1000 years for a new messiah to rise up and bring the God Hand down like Void did 1000 years ago.

Kingdoms endlessly at war with each other.
Griffith creates utopia and damns the rest of the world by summoning fantasy monsters.
Guts and whoever doesn't want to be a part of Falconia, band together, form an army to save the rest of the world by destroying Utopia.
The world no longer has countries or kingdom since everything is destroyed by fantasy monsters.
World goes back into war.

And the kicker is that Skull Knight has to wait 1000 years for a new messiah to be born, create an Empire/Utopia and being down the God Hand to earth.
The same will happen with Guts. After he kills Griffith, he will have to wait 1000 years for someone to unite everything, create an Empire and etc etc.
