Why did they change their "drawing style" that much?
I LOVED the old one...
Probably because there's no logical reason to be using it unless you happened upon the terms somewhere for the first time like in a screenshot and thought it was cool. It's not even a meme
Araki's style changed over the course of time. p4 started out as somewhat p3-looking but by the end of it was full-on fabulous.
I'm wondering if David will actually try to do that gradual shift into the p5-onward look.
>told you reason for not reading
>still tells anon to read the manga
>I'm wondering if David will actually try to do that gradual shift into the p5-onward look.
They wont, all parts have been very uniform internally but they'll keep changing styles for every part of the manga. Very fitting and so far very well done.
Believe in DAVID for they deliver.
there's no point on reading parts 1 to 3
Only 4 and above are worth reading because they are all significantly better then the first three parts in the manga and anime (yes, even part 5)
Also 4 has amazing moments so good I know the anime will fail to capture
I read parts 1 and 2. Read Half of 3 before the shitty scans
Then watched it all, the anime stays pretty faithful to the first two parts and I don't see how not reading them hinders the Jojo experience (only talking about the first three parts)
The only reason people force themselves to read the first three parts, is so they can jump in to the good stuff which is everything after Stardust Crusaders. But that's my opinion.
Part 2 is really well adapted as it is. Wasn't a fan of Joseph and the bullshit like that general coming back as a cyborg even though he blew his brains out with a grenade, but to each his own
I'm just saying for just the first three parts, it's not bad to simply watch them before you jump into the manga.
Araki's art drastically improve in the middle of part 3
I don't see the big deal why most people here are so anal about reading the manga for the first three parts
It could have been done a thousand times better with better pacing, not changing the designs just because, and spending some money on the animation. The only episode I'd say that surpassed the manga is 20, and just because of the fight. Caesar's death is tied with the manga.
Anime didn't leave out anything meaningful (outside of the beginning and the ending, part 1 doesn't have anything memorable). Animation was ok, at least they didn't keep stills for 10s like part 3.
No reason for someone to go out of his way to read it again instead of starting part 4
> Animation was ok, at least they didn't keep stills for 10s like part 3
Are you fucking serious? Part 1 was like a fucking FLASH animation.
Meanwhile this scene alone had more frames than an entire Part 1 episode:
Are people really this dumb or they just don't remember how good Part 3's animation actually was?
S1 didn't have many frames but the stills looked good and didn't last for 10 whole seconds like most of SC. Better animation doesn't mean better direction.
They ran out of money in SC2 anyway.
You're out of your mind. Part 1 was still after still after still. The direction was bad too. Part 2 was MUCH better thanks to better direction, in fact.
Part 1 just got the shitty end of the stick, ultimately. They wanted to rush through it and leave as many episodes and budget as possible for Part 2. Which I'm thankful for because it was great.
Left : manly as fuck, intimidating
Right : generic adult face
we dont want him stealing the thunder of best Jojo
it's pretty consistent with the source material
>Are people really this dumb or they just don't remember how good Part 3's animation actually was?
People are still bitter about the AUALITY in DIO's World I think, even though the BDs fixed it (mostly)
My brother of african heritage.
>that wild array of creative abilities Kira came up with
Hell, KQ was whitesnake before whitenake became whitesnake.
>heat-seaking invincible explosion bots
>automatic time-reversal in case of fuck-ups with AOE one-shot
>exploding bubbles that can go through enemy cover
>invisible air bombs with manual navigation, which Kira doesn't even have to see
i cant believe you need a license for stand names
even if they are homage to American bands, they are still just names
It boggles my mind that they have to go through that legal bullshit
Well, that's the bad side of trademarks for you. Can't even pay homage to a band without them getting pissy about it. If they don't want the free advertisement and the genuine love from a fan, that's their loss. Besides, most people who actually read the manga already know what the stands' names are supposed to be anyway.
Saint Seiya happened. It took a while but eventually Araki adapted to the idea of fujos on WSJ
RIP best milf hunter and cherry licker
it would be funnier if they made the changes really obvious and then never even explained it
Figured out a little bit of Funny Valentine's ASB theme, sorry if it's tough to read.
