>Madoka sequel being announced in 8-9 hours at the SHAFT Madogatari event
The event is celebrating 40 Years of SHAFT. There'll be a concept video for a new Madoka project unveiled. The video has all the major voice actors from the series involved, as well as major staff members (Yukihiro Miyamoto, Yuki Kajiura, Inu Curry, etc).
>no teasers for the 2nd Kizu movie
just finish this already instead of creating boring shit
>mfw no new Madoka/Monogatari sequels and they announce Mekaku City Actors S2 instead
>and they announce Mekaku City Actors S2 instead
>Is there any modern anime studio better than SHAFT?
oh fuck. I thought that kizu was going to be only one full movie.
Fist fight between Homura and Madoka when?
>Milking a franchise
Madoka is nice, the film is alright, but damn, stop it already before it's too late.
>Urobuchi finishes writing his first one cour anime since Madomagi
>People speculate it's Imashi's latest abortion
>It's actually Madomagi 2
TRIGGER NIGGERS = TRIGGERED
IMASHITTERS = IMASHITTED
ENJOY OKADA YOU MISERABLE WRECKS
i actually hope for Sasami S2
I watched the original series, but didn't like it enough to watch the movies.
Is it actually that good, or are they just looking to get as much money as possible from the series?
Oishi has his own style but he's still pretty SHAFT-y. We haven't really seen what Itamura is capable of outside of Monogatari either.
Miyamoto is a definite shinbo clone, he directed Madoka.
What do SHAFT do when the gatari and Madoka franchise can't be milked any more?
If you think the film is alright, you shouldn't have any problem with a second season, considering that it was clearly a prologue.
But this thread is already shitposting general, so feel free to post nonsensical shit.
Eh. I really don't give two shits about it, but it's actually likely.
If instead we got a SZS OVA or >>134035050
it would make the rest of my year.
>yfw Rebellion retcon
Yeah, I think the OP messed up the times. Still, it will be sometime today.
>acting elitist over a cancerous series as a whole
>the novels are superior I swear!!
>implying Urobuchi is shit
Nice shitpost meme
I will, thank you. Unlike you, I'm able to enjoy various things.
So, just like I enjoy Shaft and Urobuchi , I also enjoy Trigger, Imaishi and Okada
Still Imaishi actually isn't involved at all with Kiznaiver
They mocked the low sales numbers, as I remember. Nothing that kills it off for good, but yeah.
>K-On! wasn't exactly milked. It had 2 seasons and a movie. Then it ended.
The main reason being they ran out of material.
I guess a better comparison is Free!.
Madoka is a successful Original Show. This is one of the biggest money earner types that an anime studio can hope for. Such franchises come out once in a blue moon and many studios dream of getting such success.
>all these trolls
>all this falseflagging
It's like I'm in a Kyoani thread
doing the same
So SHAFT was finally acknowledged by /a/?
>they ran out of material
What? K-On has whome more manga of them in colledge, and franckly, KyoAni could have continue milking it with original material if wanted.
K-On!! however, just like Haruhi, isnt their property, so its not really up to them to "milk" them, but to publishers.
KyoAni does however milk every own franchize, no matter how little/unpopular it is- Chu2, KnK, Hibike, now they even adapt Miriad Colors Phantom World which only had 1 vollume and no one though they would, and Evergarden next too. Own projects bring money.
Now as for Madoka being "money earner" - sure, for Aniplex.
>So SHAFT was finally acknowledged by /a/?
SHAFT always matters. It's just that everyone agree they are a studio with major and consistent flaws so it isn't like anyone is going to worship them.
>yfw its actually madoka
i can smell the butthurt already
So most of the hate comes from hipsters who hate how people from MAL and Reddit got into their secret club?
Seriously, not liking something because of the people who like it is retarded
Are we posting memes?
What if this is just a ruse to make Madoka tolerable again by getting rid of the Tripfag infestation for a week?
Her aim is so bad, we only see her hit Kyubey once, and only because she had been sneaking from behind and then made use of timestop. Otherwise it manages to dodge her bullets.
>implying Second Season isn't the nearest thing we have to a masterpiece in our generation
is Sasami sell like shit that even Shaft abandon it?
I just translated the article and visitors' impressions.
Are you ready?
Even Monogatari fans I've known who've loved the series in the past seem to agree it's getting kind of old and seem pretty disinterested in Owarimonogatari. SHAFT named their bloody 40th anniversary exhibit Madogatari, it's like they literally don't give a shit about anything else they've ever done but for the last 5 years and kind of a slap in the face to anyone that was a fan of anything else they've ever made god forbid.
There already is one. Give up anon, the line has been crossed already. There no longer is anything to reign them in and prevent them from perpetually making new content at whatever pace they feel like.
Just wait for the reimaginations, "Rebuilds", and their ilk.
Shaft announced a screening of "a concept movie" which connects to a new story of "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" in "Madogatari Exhibition -Shaft the 40th anniversary-", which will be held sequentially in Tokyo, Osaka and Sapporo from November 27th 2015.
>『劇場版 魔法少女まどかマギカ［新編］叛逆の物語』公開後、Magica Quartetの新房昭之氏・蒼樹うめ氏・虚淵玄氏（ニトロプラス）・シャフトは、『魔法少女まどかマギカ』の新作に向けて打ち合わせを続けてきた。
After releasing "Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie: Rebellion", Magica Quartet (Akiyuki Shinbou, Ume Aoki, Gen Urobuchi of Nitroplus and Shaft) have kept having meetings to make a new work of PMMM
And now Shinbou, the general director, drew storyboards by himself and Magica Quartet created "a concept movie" like a foundation to make a new work.
Rebellion was fucking awesome
Never have I driven home with such soul crushing despair in my heart
In order to create the concept movie, Yukihiro Miyamoto, the director for theatrical productions, directed the production and the main staffs of Gekidan Inu Curry (the unusual spaces designers) and Junichiro Taniguchi (the general drawing director) joined the work.
Yuki Kajiura composed new BGMs for the video and the main voice actresses (Aoi Yuuki as Madoka Kaname and so forth) recorded new voice materials.
This image is just "a concept movie" which contains hints of a new work of PMMM and would open a door of a new story.
Why is it bad? I'd always welcome new Madoka content. And Rebellion ending left a lot of space for obvious inevitable continuation.
I'd like myself another season of SZS though but that is a pipe dream at this point.
They should mute her character. Regularly animated and all, but with subtitles instead of the voice.
I know they'll just recast her, but it would be a neat (and "SHAFTy") thing to do.
The main staffs for the concept movie

Director : Yukihiro Miyamoto

>This image is just "a concept movie" which contains hints of a new work of PMMM and would open a door of a new story.
>a new story
>would open a door of a new story
Make it happen, Shaft.
Surely they will announce Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei Finale, right?
>Open the door of a new story
Today, a concept movie was released in Madogatari Exhibition of Shaft 40th anniversary. It is connected to a new work. I can read their impressions visitors posted.
It was expected that Shaft would release a new movie or series but they did not announce the sequel concretely.
I just joined Madogatari Exhibition. The short movie of PMMM was awesome!
I watched the new work. The video is new materials!
>●やばい！やばい！やばい！やばいーーーーー！ MADOGATARI展！展示内容すげーーーやばい！ これ見ないと後悔する！ 時間指定してるのでそこまで混んで無いし！これ1日入れるレベルの内容だよ！！ まどマギの映像鳥肌ものだった！
OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! Madogatari Exhibition! It is amazing! The exhibits are tremendous! If you don't watch it, you would regret your life! They limited our viewing times about the video so the hall was not very crowded. The exhibition had high-level works so you can watch it in the place all day long. I had goose bumps about the concept movie!
The concept movie is wonderful!
If you watched the movie one time, you ought to leave the theater. You can only watch it once at your entry. It is precious.
The image astonished me. I trembled with emotion.
If I judge only the video, MadoHomu is about to begin. The official staffs overdid the production. (My individual impression)
Anyways, it was a reliable animation movie. I am worried about Shaft's animators now. What's happened? Eh? I had a headache.
Whoa! The New Arc! Awesome! The story is after Rebellion. I see. Madoka intends to confront Homura.
While I watched the concept movie, was not able to suppress my heartbeats.
I just watched the movie of PMMM it is controversial. My Sayaka-chan...
In other words, the new image of PMMM is a preview of the sequel.
Second Season > Owari > Bake > Neko > Tsuki > Nisi > Hana
If you disagree you know shit about production values and honestly can't rate anything.
The new project has already begun. I am sure I never make a mistake in it. It is my pleasure. Sayaka-chan...
Before I watched the new image of PMMM, I did not expect it. It has a lot of time: 4 minutes. I heard it is a concept movie. Actually I watched it. I felt it a new work. It is a high level of contents.
The image has a total of 4 minutes. At the beginning of a minute, the first part of it is similar to that of Rebellion. The scene contains Madoka and Homura talked together (simultaneously?) I almost wanted to cry due to the scene. After the scene, mysterious ones were screened. Kyouko-chan fired up and Sayaka-chan turned into a witch. And MamiHomu had conflicts again. Mami-san is so cool!
The concept movie seems an image of the sequel but Shaft did not announce it is the sequel clearly.
>If I judge only the video, MadoHomu is about to begin. The official staffs overdid the production. (My individual impression)
DON'T YOU SEE?
IT'S NOT HEALTHY
>I am worried about Shaft's animators now. What's happened? Eh? I had a headache.
Why Gahara exists? She ruined the whole series.
Not enough Karma. Find yourself someone willing to timeloop for you and then we can talk.
>Madoka sequel soon
man i can't wait for the shitposting to melt /a/ to the ground again, this fucking series somehow managed to cause even harder shitposting then even gayass sundays in its persistence.
literally multiple boards will once again torch under the flames of magical girl suffering, holy hell i can't wait for this.
I know the article but they did not give an obvious fact in contrast to Japanese articles.
I did not go to the exhibition in Tokyo. I regret it now.
So why did the incubators not think outside of the box and try to power up the typical magical girl like this? It's not like they are unable given how smart they tried to be in their plan to imprison Madoka. Even if Homura is the first timelooper in history it does not justify their inaction.
The only good anime on there are Wixoss, Utena, and Azumanga. Everything else is either trash tier because the source had shit writing or trash tier because JC Staff spammed fillers and it died.
JC Staff fillers, SHAFT doesn't. Checkmate, JCfag
Yeah, handing over the dice that controls fate to multiple teenage girls and letting them play chance with it is a brilliant idea for a race that was looking for a way to maintain the universe as is as long as they can.
Not to mention, they can't suggest wishes.
Homura is a truly demon.
>So why did the incubators not think outside of the box and try to power up the typical magical girl like this?
Because they have no control over what a girl does with her magic. Incubators have no magical powers themselves, they just know how to flick a switch in human girls and the girl does everything else on her own. Incubators just don't understand shit but they tried to use it to their advantage. The result is they released a cosmic horror into the universe that could escape Earth's gravity.
>Unless you're Sunrise in which case its like every couple of years
Sunrise consistently create more failures than successes. It evens out eventually but they really had to absorb the costs of stinkers.
Reactions are kinda nice but a lot of those comments don't bring anymore information.
>Sayaka-chan turned into a witch
This somehow doesn't look like the person's saying "turning" but rather "we saw Sayaka's witch". Sayaka and Oktavia are separate entities ever since Rebellion, she doesn't "turn" into it.
>Nah, gundam and love live fandoms are much larger than Shaft fandom.
Sunrise is also several times if not eight times larger than SHAFT. It is a little silly to pull out Sunrise for comparison when the scale is so different.
Oh boy here we go with the Monogatari thread tier posting about muh deep philosophical dialogue and how characters just muttering shit at each other for scene after scene is the pinnacle and any sort of action or characters taking action is bad so everyone's delivery has to be sedate as fuck.
At least Madoka isn't actually completely like that though. I mean fuck Urobuchi is a noted Tokusatsu and Gundam fan and this series does actually have action scenes
le faust symbology look it's so deep because it has OBSCURE REFERENCES (that weren't even necessary and are there just because) etc.
Oh boy I sure can't wait for the new wave of shitposting
I can't really take a seried where the whole first show was about struggle just to get to the point where the cast could find a loophole and then suddenly the movie comes along and the most popular character gets an arbitrary and barely explained power up that supposedly lets her do anything.
>who love their yuri undertones
That's not even the reason why I watched Madoka in the first place, and yuri doesn't mean "bad". Especially with all the symbolism in the series. God forbid people can feel attracted to other people.
Calling it now
Sayaka could do nothing against the devil, fell into despair there and with no LoC in place she turned into a witch once more
Homu did nothing wrong faggots go homu
Its like people just accept it without question because its Madoka and Hype whereas average series they'd be calling her Mary Sue and asking what the fuck and for some explanation at least but nobody dares criticize Urobuchi and what might as well be a major plot hole in how the series powers are supposed to work
No, it's not. Fuck you, she's dead. Get over it. Maybe if people didn't reply like whining bitches to posts like that, shitposters would stop spamming it every thread in hope of (you)s.
It's not arbitrarily or poorly explained
Homura's karmic fate is tied in with Madoka due to the timeloop, which gives each other equity over the other
What the fuck are you talking about? If I post things, it's for a good reason. Homura holds Madoka's power, Madoka cannot "fight" in the physical sense of the word, it's not possible. If there's a confrontation, it won't happen by physical contact, unless the other Magical Girls are involved. But not between Madoka and Homura, it's not Madoka's style. And Homura would never hurt Madoka.
Do you think before posting?
My bad. But it doesn't make sense if we are to look at what happened in Rebellion. Unless the witch is somehow a sort of temporary transformation.
Or Sayaka is back to zero and dies like in the old series. Poor Sayaka can't have a break.
>Whoa! The New Arc! Awesome! The story is after Rebellion. I see. Madoka intends to confront Homura.
CAUSE I FEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEL
I CAN ALWAYS SHOW MY EVERYTHING TO YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
Why physical contact worked with Homura and Madoka. Why can't someone else just do exactly the same, what makes Homura so special besides being the favorite most popular character
Homura was able to DEVIL HIJACK LOL because Madoka's powers are due to the timeloop she made.
I did not watch the video. I don't know precisely.
When will Sayaka find happiness?
I wish I could just arbitrarily get reapers power just cause, I am as smart as light.
It was an act of protection and love. What you guys are implying here is an outright physical/magical fight between a girl and a reality-warping being. And Homura will never let Madoka make a contract with Kyubey again or so much as give back her powers. What can Madoka do?
If there's a confrontation, it won't be physical.
Did you watch the series? Meduka has all those strings of fate tied to her representing karmic power, given to her by Homura time loops. Because Homura time looped as many times as Madoka's wish + fought for the time after madoka reset the universe she has more energy by default.
Autism isn't the common cold anon. Of course, according to /a/, /v/, and most of the other imageboards on here, literally everyone that uses the internet is autistic, so calling something "autism" isn't an insult anymore. Every single person in this thread has it. Even you.
>tfw barely anybody mentions Arakawa
For shame, anon.
>Madoka finally has new content
Will this finally kill the tripfag generals?
It's dead anon
Wraith arc didn't manage it, why would a short film be any different?
Now if absolutely fucking everything goes right and people manage to drown them out with speculah about a then guaranteed sequel, then maybe you will have a few days. Or a full week, if you are willing to be this optimistic after several other assumptions on things going as good as they can be.
For a moment, I thought I was on tumblr.
I could've sworn she were popular as hell.
Madoka S2 discussion will flush out all the disgusting tumblr trips.
Thank you based Shinbo.
Opens with Madoka and Homura giving an overlapping monologue. The whole thing turns into a ballet dance. We see Sayaka change into a magical girl and then into a witch, we see Kyouko reach out for her but miss.
We see Mami dance with Nagisa, and then there's a tempo increase where Homura and Madoka start swerving closer and closer to each other, then Mami swoops in towards Homura who swoops back.
It ends with the ballet being broken, and Homura and Madoka in a isolated field, backs turned towards each other
>we see Kyouko reach out for her but
Yuri pair confirmed.
>we see Kyouko reach out for her but miss
Well isn't that reverting back to the time when she detonated her soul gem in the hopes of getting the message across to Sayaka but as a witch she couldn't get it?
Maybe it's for compatibility with the original series where there was no split second I'm home.
Snake a cute I want to protect her and comfort her.
>then Mami swoops in towards Homura who swoops back
As expected of breasts.
IF I BREAK HER HEART WILL SHE DIE?
Does this quotes Shinbo says "we're working on it" regarding the sequel?
More importantly, will we get magical girl transfomations?
They dramatically cut down on the fanservicy bullshit that was weighing down the previous seasons and the overall theme feels much closer to bake. Its more occult mystery than revolver harem.
