I want to lick Tatsumaki's crusty asshole while she sits on my face
I just finished watching all 8 episodes and im in love
all that ass goddamn
but honestly, I havent wanted to sit back and read a manga since like 2006. Am I missing anything by going anime only?
The anime will barely half of what is avaible in the comic as of now
And a second season is far off because the manga, that is a revision of the comic is still lagging behind as of now
This is why I said that innevitably you gonna read the thing
The animation in anime is below sub par compared to murata's art, and the anime only starts getting good a bit late, by which time the anime would be soon ending, also murata hasnt even reached the best part of the webcomic yet.
Season 2 will take no less than 5 years.
Thats all i can tell the decision is yours
It's the other way around in OPM: watching the show is what'll make you miss out on things that are manga only (sonic's prison break comes to mind), the show adds nothing essential that you'd miss if you only read the manga. There is that pointless cameo of the esper sisters and the conversation with sweet mask, but these are meaningless.
>is OPM even selling good considering the key animators they got for this?
The famous key animators are not being paid extra. They were involved because they wanted bragging rights. And they also try to out-do each other now that there are so many big names involved.
Essentially this is now a dick measuring contest between animators.
>Animators try to out do Murata's action scenes
>Animators try competing with each other
>One with his shitty doodles
I know Murata inspired him to try better but everything behind the scenes of OPM is also a comedy, maybe even a parody of manga.
You know the MA arc is like as long as the rest of the serie right? And that considering how it's mostly fights Murata will extend it even much moere with all his spreads?
I don't expect it to end before 5-6 years.
Don't even care if this gets deleted or removed, just wanted to share this with a community that understands.
I just watched the first episode of One Punch Man and just had my mind fucking blown. I am absolutely floored at the technical mastery that has gone into this show.
The animation level of detail in this show is far above and beyond anything I've seen in a while. Madhouse has outdone themselves in paying insane levels of detail to every single frame where it matters. There are so many little details in the shading and lighting that anybody on a time crunch could imagine throwing out if they were drawing this show. eg. there is a scene where Saitama's bald head reflects the grocery store, like you have to WANT that there to go through such efforts to draw that. Every single cameo, every single nod to other well known superhero anime/show has had the illustration match to its original nearly perfectly (my jaw dropped at pollution man's freeze frame, or the old slow-mo face/neck stretching after receiving a punch), as if the animators and illustrators at Madhouse were doing the 21 gun salute to all of their favorite superhero shows. Every explosion feels satisfying, every punch from Saitama feels like the perfect final concluding punch from every other Shounen superhero anime placed together into one amazing love letter to the genre. I can't help by draw analogies to Jack Black's 'Tribute' song: it is an earnest tribute to all superhero animations that pays its respect by showing immense flattery for the fighting/action tropes that have appeared in the genre before it.
And speaking of rock, the soundtrack for this show is paired perfectly. It is so clear that the music draws from the campy "HARDCORE ADRENALINE FUELED MANLY METAL" soundtracks of yore, and it is so unabashed in doing so. It basically screams, "HEY! REMEMBER WHEN YOU USED TO THINK THIS IS RAD? TRY FEELING THAT AGAIN IT'S FUCKING GREAT."
I finished the first episode, and was so fueled by adrenaline that I got out of bed and went for a FUCKING RUN AT 10 IN THE EVENING, and have come back and still feel like I need to vent about the amazing amounts of ENERGY I have.
I remember when I was a little kid, my friends and I would watch DBZ, and at the end of every episode we would get so worked up, we would go outside and pretend be DBZ heroes. Like we would go and be like "yeah man, LET'S FIGHT, I'M GONNA KAMEHAMEHA YOUR ASS", and just run around and play until we were decked out again, and this first episode of One Punch Man made me feel that again.
Do I expect the show to keep making me feel that way? Not really. But I am majorly impressed that One Punch Man has made me reconnect with with my memories of this superhero shounen genre, and is clearly doing so intentionally.
>with a community that understands.
I don't understand why you chose us.
Anyway, here's some Metal Knight on Elder Centipede action.
you know what they say, if you cant make your case in 20 words or less its not worth to hear
This thread causes me brain cancer.
So the lyrics are totally from Fubuki's POV, right?
I know /a/ is full of f/a/ggots but come on.
Someone actually did it, the absolute madman.
Looks like there was TWO reasons why Metal Knight showed up;
1. It was once again, another weapon test
2. He is fascinated by the strong armour of the elder centipede and want to harvest it for research.
This might confirm my suspicion that Metal Knight struggles to find synthetic armour strong enough to match Dragon threats. And he had to resort to bio research into monster bodyparts.
What would it feel like to get ridden hard and fast by a Tatsumaki in heat?
Not really. Technology can be based on or be made from biological components too. He either wants to use the material of the shell or replicate its molecular structure, which we already do in real life with other organic substances. Spider webs, for example.
This is the new content, though. Stuff to give other heroes more focus, perhaps? To build up to them later or because they're pretty neglected?
No, Senior Centipede is Demon in both ONE and Murata's versions. It's Elder Centipede who's Dragon.
For Tiger level monsters, they look pretty cool.
Yep. Although I'd say only the mainland (that is, the largest landmass and only continent on the planet) monsters would know that sort of stuff. Sea King, Sky King, and Underground King are probably the equivalent of Monster hicks out in the boonies.
damn it, now I have to re-read the MA arc to see where Murata is going with this. Unless Bang is going to interrupt the fight with the other master and make that the point in the story.
>There is one thing that has been puzzling me. Why do the monsters sometimes refer to their own "danger ranking"? Are they using it as a gauge of how powerful they are?
It is no different from criminals boasting how much bounty is on their heads.
>FUCK OFF GAROU
To be fair Garou is deluded and didn't really believe monsters are a threat to society. He never grew up and just thinks monsters are being attacked by heroes just-because and they wouldn't hurt anyone otherwise. The idea that monsters are proud of how many innocent people they kill, haven't sunk in yet for him.
They're not "detached" from the human world. At least, not the ones who mutated. They're simply obsessed with something.
Plus, the majority of the Monster Association's members probably come from human populated areas. They seem to love causing havoc, most of them anyway. They also get together and exchange information with one another, like in the Rumors chapter. I don't think most monsters live like hermits, totally unaware of human society.
>I know, but it sounds weird from a bunch of monsters who are already detached from the human world to use a human creating ranking on themselves.
They use bodycounts as street cred. Many of them are former humans. Of course they still have contact with human society, it's just that they treat humans as prey.
I don't think it matters to him. I mean sure he didn't kill any of the heroes, but he still has a very weird perception of what a hero and a monster is even after his defeat..
>I don't think it matters to him. I mean sure he didn't kill any of the heroes, but he still has a very weird perception of what a hero and a monster is even after his defeat..
His perceptions are EXACTLY like the games he played as a kid. He was literally projecting his childhood trauma onto other people. That is why he couldn't see monsters as dangerous because his only view of monsters if of himself being bullied. He thinks heroes are bullies because his childhood bullies want to play heroes.
>Not sexualizing the lonely cyborg who desperatly wants to please.
Are you some kinda normalfag?
Ya think some kungfu taijutsu master is enough to stop me?
YER OUTTA YOUR DAMN MIND!
>I say he isn't going down until god threats show up.
I disagree, we've seen that he can take Dragon level threats the MA wouldn't have been able to last to Garou becoming a monster if that happened. So him going down to Metal Knight's crossfire is pretty reasonable.
Demon, Dragon, God WHATEVER.
I'LL TAKE CARE OF 'EM!
>So him going down to Metal Knight's crossfire is pretty reasonable.
Doesn't need that at all. He could just be busy visiting his sister and thus play no further part in the MA arc, same with Watchdogman not willing to leave his area.
It doesn't NEED to happen but this sidestory would be kinda pointless if it was his sister holding him up again.
You know what? i agree with Garou.
It's bullshit when the villain spends a fuckton of time planning shit and the hero beats him just because he's the hero
Typical monster, learn your place already. The only time your kind do well is in fanon shit.
>I'm just a child and don't have any powers
in murata's version I thought child emperor built a power level scanner which said he had strength?
He also mistook Shicchi's surprise over his power level as surprise over how weak he was. Child Emperor's a genius and a bit arrogant, but he's still childish. He just has weird standards.
Do it, faggot
He was wrong about whi Shicchi was surprised at his power level, the divide between the power level of the monster's top and lower halves, who killed the monster and why King and Saitama's power levels are unreadable.
It's unreasonable to think he's wrong about his mask not measuring only the strength of biological musculature. He designed it. There's no need to concede anything at all when all the points are so clear.
It just means the addition of one more hero who can solo a dragon threat would have tipped the scales completely in the heroes favor.
Keep in mind that had Tats properly finished off psychos before dividing her attention, she and Bang would have mopped up the rest of the top monsters in short order.
It's not filler. It's revision.
Otherwise, rewriting parts of your thesis paper for college would just be filler. As if you're never allowed to go back or change parts of what you've done without it being considered "filler".
Filler is filler, but these chapters are an improvement to the story and are thus "revisions".
Imagine if we could clone Murata and have an entire team of Muratas working non-stop.
Yes but it was When Garou was psychically bound so I don't know how much it counts. Plus CE was wrong about basically everything. The little bastard made up an ablity for King based on nothing that his big plan depended on.
That sounds pretty cool post it when you find it.
In the mean time have some femKing.
Because originally and even Seaweed all said the rumor was top tier very powerful monsters were the members of the org. The way the monsters talked about it seemed like chumps like them wouldn't be allowed to join.
>Because originally and even Seaweed all said the rumor was top tier very powerful monsters were the members of the org.
That just means the MA had all the heavy hitters the rumor doesn't mention anything about the small fries, or being restrictive about who they recruit. The only real other time the MA talks about recruitment is with Garou and they didn't know what they were doing.
I'm more surprised someone drew this.
Which character is most likely to take off and put on their shoes without untying them?
Reminder that sexualizing Genos is literally Tumblr.
So Tumblr might not be wrong all the time
Maybe we'll see the C class heroes finally be useful. They're still stronger than normal humans so I'm hopeful that they at least can take down one tiger monster. The heroes association has over 11000 people trying out to be a hero, I want to believe that even C class is useful.
C-Class does have the weekly quota to thin them out. They might be above base human but most monsters blow them the fuck out and all they are basically just police with shit infrastructure. Rider and Fubuki need to buy and use their own transportation. Most C & B class heroes should just be cops if they want to be useful.
Don't you know that ED is Genos's song?
It's nothning related to Tatsumaki
"Because I've already known
how you’ve been working…really, really hard
The one I love is so strong that it worries me
Please show your weak side to me alone
I’ll find you before the stars do
So please come straight home"
Man, it really fits Genos's feeling to Saitama especially when Saitama is hated by civilians
Since no one's seemed to have posted it, here's a missing page from the newest chapter
Between >>134038455 and >>134038479
Next episode will end with this scene, then this song
It'll be perfect
I don't know why but I never liked most femtamas.
Most of them don't look plain and have costumes which are either too high class or slutty.
Sorry Tatsumaki fags
But it's obvious ONE intends to kill Tatsumaki for fatal disease
I thought the same thing after reading those pages over and over. It seemed weird that she tried to hide it, and usually in anime coughing up blood means "im going to die eventually".
>It seemed weird that she tried to hide it
It seems weird that the person with a huge superiority complex tried to hide her weakness to the people she's been trying to make wield to her for the past hour?
Are you high?
She already said she hasn't fully recovered from the Monster Association battle. Using such serious psychic power so soon afterwards makes her bleed from her wounds and blood comes out her nose and mouth. She tried to hide it and play it off like nothing so people won't think she's weak.
I can only hope that's the reason, but I see tatsumaki being this tragic hero type . Remember when she told genos to leave since he couldn't deal with the Monster association alone. I think she knows her days are numbered and that's why she didn't want someone to die in vain protecting her. Also I think it has something to do with that "long talk" tatsumaki was gonna have with fubuki about her health before saitama butted in. This is also why she doesn't want to appear weak in front of fubuki.
But of course this is just my theory for now.
It's clearly different to injury from battle with MA
She injured her head, but she is coughing blood in this scene
Her facial expression during coughing shows she is having fatal disease
And her tiny body and extremely strong psychic
It implies she has sort of congenital anomaly
>I think she knows her days are numbered and that's why she didn't want someone to die in vain protecting her.
Actually I saw that like with the Boros invasion when she shows up Tank Top Master, she was able to tell that he couldn't contribute in a meaningful way to the fight. But I've never seen Tats being the tragic hero type at most she's a byronic hero who causes most of her own problems due to her own arrogance. And I really can't see her recent freak being rooted in anything other then confronting the possibility that her and Fubuki's life might be endangered by the hero business.
>She injured her head, but she is coughing blood in this scene
Maybe, but the timing of it coming right before her scalp splits open revealing an injury she can't hide. Also she eat a lot of shit in the MA fight, beyond a simple head injury. And again she had fight anime lungs in that fight too.
must suck being an esper, looks like cancer is just something they have
She just bit her lip to keep her consciousness
Same as Metalbat hit himself
I don't know, it hasn't happened yet fucktard
I just reread that chapter and no I think she bit her lip, does anybody know what this sfx mean?
>So what happened in the future?
do you understand what you just wrote
So what the fuck is Pig God playing at here, and what power does he have that will save the world?
Is Genos the biggest bro in all of Anime and Manga?
Which other hero(es) would you like a chapter or two on?
>Esper sisters die
>Genos wins Saitama bowl
But how would this work if King was a woman? Saitama wouldn't be allowed to lose.
iirc, the sequence is that Fubuki creates the esper study group in high school in order to "take over the world" and defeat Tatsumaki. Psychos joins up and they have fun together being chuuni.
Psychos decides to step up her game and master future sight and in the process sees something that drives her mad and convinces her to wipe out humanity. She tries to convince Fubuki to go along with her, but Fubuki doesn't want a world without "losers" that she can stand atop. So wiping humanity out is off the table, and she seals Psychos' powers.
Later on, Psychos obviously unsealed them and got much, much stronger.
As far as S-Class goes, I'd like to see chapters on Watchdog Man and Engine Knight, the only two S-Class heroes outside of Blast we haven't seen in action and don't know much about.
Nah this is like the best version of female Saitama.
I believe one would not have made him bald if he was female and instead played a joke like how she always behaves like male Saitama would is kinda like a guy.
Like in that pics she looks flat in casual clothing but when the hero costume gets damaged you get a glimpse, just a slight glimpse of some Fubuki tier knocker and everyone is shocked to the point that they mistake them for different persons.
I have no issue with the design in general. Just the wording on the shirt.
Remove the two dots, and it could even be filled in with the Japanese equivalent of balls. Just as simple, and just as silly.
King was made an S-class hero practically against his will. How did he get past Sweet Mask's vetting?
And are hero candidates allowed to use their powers or gimmicks on the physical section of the hero exam, or is that just a fitness test? Would Tatsumaki have been made to boop the punching machine with her nectarine-sized fists? Did Bofoy have to do side hops?
>King was made an S-class hero practically against his will. How did he get past Sweet Mask's vetting?
Sweet Mask judges only two things; credited feats, and looking like cool hero. King has many impressive feats recorded by the HA, and he is a huge guy with scars on one side of his face. That is good enough for Sweet Mask.
I don't see why Sweet Mask would have anything against King
>supposedly strongest man on earth
>intimidating as all hell
I can see him respecting King, even.
>And are hero candidates allowed to use their powers or gimmicks on the physical section of the hero exam
You can probably mention those beforehand and maybe even skip the exam based on it. It's just that both Saitama and Genos are mostly physical fighters so they get evaluated accordingly.
THREE TWO ONE KILL SHOT! SENJOU HISHOU SHINJOU SAIKYO!
THE STRONGEST OF ALL TIME!!!!
Saitama's powers get transferred to King
>king really is the strongest!
>that baldie really was just a phony
is what the general public will then think.
Seriously though I don't care how it ends.
>bald porn videos
why different tabs when he scrolls?
Saitama becomes S-class rank 2, gets his true hero name, gets tired of being a hero as a hobby and picks up bonsai growing
He was so triggered he had to go make a blogpost
>expecting animation to be 100% like the manga
You know that's not really possible with the current budget, right? Plus, the manga is extremely detail oriented. To put that shit into animation is going to kill more than a few interns.
Saitama finally has a fulfilling fight with
Blast doesn't exist and is simply a name to prevent a crack in the Hero Association, But is finally rewarded after Saitama somehow saves the world.
Ergo Saitama gets S-Class Rank 1: "One-Punch Man."
And it ends with them playing video games in an apartment. King is kicking everyone ass with his characters, Saitama still thinks it's bullshit, Tatsumaki having a tantrum at loosing and being partially restrained to not tear down the apartment again. Genos cooking with an apron for the event. Rider is in dead last but doesn't care and is having a blast anyway. Sonic staring creepy from the window outside, Because he is destined to Job for eternity.
When did you realize King was the best character?
For me it was after seeing his infinite hit combo
If by danbooru mirror you mean superior to danbooru in every way since it allows toddlercon and 3D lolicon, and just simply has more stuff than those websites then yes, it's a danbooru mirror. It's like calling nhentai a sadpanda mirror.
If one starts killing characters off, who would make most sense to die storywise? Whose death would be the most interesting?
I vote Bang for first and Genos, Moomin rider and King for second.
Yeah, I wasn't sure if that was wholly because of his Saitama-ness or simply because he wasn't out there that long (since an ordinary person can survive ~30 seconds in a vacuum.)
I'm just wondering if "Super Move Serious Series: Serious Breath-Holding" could have saved him if he had missed the moon.
>I'm just wondering if "Super Move Serious Series: Serious Breath-Holding" could have saved him if he had missed the moon.
Yes because Saitama can do whatever the plot demands him to do.
That's why "powerlevel" discussion is meaningless for him.
Actually, a normal human can survive being spaced for a few minutes.
It's more likely you will in a a couple mins due o lack of air than being fucked by the pressure difference, but still
Yeah you're right, Saitama was in space for about the normal time a human could survive in a vacuum. Obviously the pressure from atmospheric exit and re-entry would have killed a normal person though.
Saitama and God fight, shattering the universe. At the end, God acknowledges Saitama as somebody who has surpassed the limitations of the universe, before he's shocked and finds out Saitama had, despite all appearances, only used almost 1% of his power the entire fight for everyone's lives. Since reality is shattered, the world is inevitably doomed, so Saitama has a choice: to either give up his power and remake the universe to save it, becoming reborn in a universe without monsters and limitations, or he can let the universe die and be left as the only being. Saitama obviously sacrifices his power.
The final chapter would be him probably being a normal salaryman, and there might be something about him either losing his memories or being the only one who remembers the past universe. Either way, I feel like an ending with these elements would be satisfying.
Yeah, one mustn't think too hard about superhero physics anyway. For example, Saitama saved most of Z-City by cancelling the meteor's momentum. But where would that momentum have gone? Into the ground beneath him when he jumped, just like if the meteor had hit in the first place...
I would like the ending to be more open-ended; perhaps he meets his acquaintances from the past universe and it ends with him possibly becoming friends with them again by chance as he does something "heroic" for each of them but without his powers, and at the end they're all in a group together to thank him for everything.
Only if Saitama is a background character and it's about you stepping into the Hero world as a rookie, ranking up and earning brownie points by saving civilians one monster at a time.
Fubuki says she wants to be the strongest or whatever following in the footsteps of her sister. But she's just head of B class. There are still 2 classes worth of people way stronger than her, why does she feel so high and mighty?
Pretty sure Fubuki had been offered to move up to A class but it was her decision to stay and become #1 of B class because of her leader mentality. When she feels she can take on Sweet Mask, she may join A class.
There are an unusual amount of people in this thread that want Tats to die.
I mean I don't like her much either, but I don't think she should be killed off or anything.
Fubuki wants to be "the best" at something. She feels she was never able to because Tats was around being better. She doesn't believe she has what it takes to displace Sweet Mask, therefore, she's satisfied her ego by being "the best B Class".
That reference is bad, and you should feel bad.
More along the lines of him pretending not to care, but actually being scared shitless of the fact that she's actually hitting on him.
He won't be interested for the reason you mentioned, but he'd be panicked to hell on the inside since he wouldn't want to actually piss her off.
Could go one of two ways.
1. He forfeits/loses. He tells her to keep training so that her power can become as beautiful as Saitama's.
2. He beats her, and chides her for trying to lift herself above her class, once again referencing the beauty of Saitama.
Basically I'm saying it seems like he's really going to become fixated on Caped Baldy from here out.
Best episode of OPM this season.
