>the falling of the roller-coaster symbolizes the moment he 'falls' for her
>"save me, okay?"
there is a word for this
Rumi honestly would be the perfect daughter for them.
The Oregairu series is the most overrated piece of shit on this sub. The only reason people like it because they self-insert into Hachiman's loner ass. Besides the MC and Iroha, the characters are all bland and archetypal. Don't even get me started on the dialogue. It's so overbloated that people feel the need to write evangelion-tier essays on it even though most of the drama comes down to vapid shit like "oh that character has a crush on this character" or "ohh the MC wanted to be alone but now he wants friends".
The ordinary-sounding dialog is freighted with meaning.
In other words, you are incapable of understanding the subtleties of the show.
>I don't understand it therefore it's stupid
This is a niche series and it caters to specific audiences. I don't blame anyone for not liking something, that's totally normal. I just find it hard to believe you can understand this series and still hate it. This is an amazing series and I need proof that you do understand it. Tell me what the message is.
>Tfw loved S1 when it was 8man solves problems
>S2 is basically Shita creates problems and blames 8man for them
Fucking bitch thinks way too highly of herself. She doesn't even have a single healthy relationship with anyone besides Yui, and that's because Yui puts in the effort to maintain it.
Yui is pure sex
I like the serie until the hardfeels come, this was the worse part of the anime, i thought the s2 be like a s1 hachiman being a hachiman but no, the entery 10 final episode the serie transform in shitty average shojo
She puts the "service" in service club
It's 'metaphor'. I genuinely wonder if there are people who don't know about this sort of thing.
I love this webm, no matter how many times it's posted.
8man said multiple times that he would marry her. It has been preordained.
No but I get tired of reading them.
Has anyone gathered real [roof Yui actually likes 8man? We can tell by the way Yukino behaves around him and how she responds to things about him to indicate that she likes him. Saki has a subtle crush and Iroha maybe fancies him.
I have nothing to say really, no memes or reposts but I liked this scene a lot, that cute way Yui says the fish is gross, Yukino calling it endearing. In fact it is my favorite of the otherwise depressing final episode.
At the end it feels better but during the episode it was brutal. The wheels felt like they were coming off until the very end.
>sense of resolution
I don't feel like much was really resolved other than "we won't do a song and dance to ignore our issues anymore" sort of thing. So off the very big stuff is still in the air.
Can someone explain why we think Yukino likes 8man again?
She is just an awkward girl who isn't used to male friends so she was taken aback by them being so close together. She thinks his eyes are gross so she got caught in a daze staring at them.
Hachiman and Hayama should perceieve the other as comrades and experience their newly discovered unadulterated (homoerotic) camaraderie in college as they find something genuine in each other.
Hachiman and Hayama should know hate is another word for love.
I wouldn't quite say that was the moment he fell for her.
For instance right after he blew Sagami the fuck out, when he goes to the concert, you see him cracking a smile. It basically means: Yeah, I know I've probably made myself public enemy number 1, but it was totally worth it being able to protect the one thing I care about and see her shining on stage.
I'd say he fell for her the moment he laid eyes on her.
Apparently Watari is going to be guest speaking at some event next week.
I'm not saying he'll reveal when the next volume is coming out on that day, but I am definitely sure that sometime during December we should be getting some kind of announcement.
The event seem to pretain to Qualidea of Scum and a Gold Coin, a collaborative light novel project between Watarin, Sou, and Date A Live author.
Although from Watarin tweets, a December release for volume twelve seem probable as his tweet centered around,
>Forgive me editor for surpassing the deadline
>Alright, let me return to writing
>My schedule for the winter holiday is free
So late December/early Janurary.
It's the same thing for all these mediocre romance anime. chitoge is going to win, yukino is going to win, etc. You already know the outcome.
Shitposting and worshiping your favorite girl is still fun in these threads though.
He fell for her the moment he saw her and she indiscriminately insulted him, she was the first person he ever bit back after being insulted and the first person outside of his family and Hiratsuka who he ever carried a conversation with.
He lied to her ever since even telling her he'd never like someone like her then telling her on vol6 that he lies all the time.
Yumiko deserves to win the Hayama
She deserves someone who will actually love her. Hayama never will.
Yes she could have but you forget the people that revolve around her problem are the ones who made her turn out that way because they just found her original attitude "boring" and thought she was stuck-up for just doing as she is told.
You realize that the entire reason Yukino is in this mess is because she wants to stay true to herself, while being born in a family/environment that places all kinds of expectations on her of what they want her to be. Essentially, what you are saying is that you want Yukino to be like Hayato and Haruno, since they have fully embraced that life.
>It's so overbloated that people feel the need to write evangelion-tier essays
kek so true. Hyouka is way better.
Not sure how exactly it was put to the test since it was mostly just 8man hating himself and trying to help Yukino.
The only thing that would make it seem like it was put to the test is him refusing to let her apologize.
Immediately after that scene the atmosphere in the Service Club became incredibly gloomy. It was the first time they started pretending like nothing was wrong and they didn't want to talk to one another. There was clearly a rift between the two of them. Yukino decided to take on Sagami's workload on her own to avoid the awkwardness. Also because of how the situation was at the time, there'd be no point for them to be in the same room, let alone do club activities together.
But that's just it, they were both on the committee so they had to spend time together regardless, hell he even tagged along with her for the inspections something Yukino could have been doing alone which ended with them being thrust into a cart together and her clinging to him.
There was no real awkwardness between the two, rather she seemed to have warmed up to him a lot more.
Even by the end of it all the only thing he told her was that she was fine as she is he honestly didn't care if she lied or not.
Yukino wins in the main novels, and Yui will win in the "What if" BD novels, Watatin did mention in the afterword he view the novels as a retelling of sorts.
And he also mentioned he'll like to write a story from the perspective Hayama, so it'll be Hayama, Miura, and Tobe/or Ebina as the protagonists.
They already had sex and she's already carrying his child.
Come on 8man, two girlfriends. All you have to do is ask. Neither girl is possessive, they like each other, and a monogamous relationship is not implied anywhere but the penguin sign which might be a red herring.
Even if he could pull off a 3P, he'll have a preference no matter what. If he has a preference for one of them then the other will feel like they're intruding in the relationship. The odd one out will of course do the adult thing and cease all attempts to pursue a romantic relationship.
We only have so much time in life. We don't have enough to divide it amongst multiple other people. That's why monogamy is the most logical and rewarding type of relationship.
How invested are you in this series, /a/?
We all know who has already claimed him. He's been marked for death
Not that invested since I already know that I won't be happy with the ending. YY are just boring to me, I'm more of a (insert secondary girl) kind of guy. I'm into the series because 8man is pretty much me in high school: few friends, got alongside teachers very well, I even had a Orimoto.
>Neither girl is possessive
They are both really possessive of him, this has been shown. They tolerated eachother since they didn't have any clue the other liked him.
>but the penguin sign
That bothered them for a reason.
At this point I don't think 8man honestly knows who he prefers if he prefers either.
>one of them then the other will feel like they're intruding in the relationship.
If the 3P date is anything to think about that happened time and time again.
>We only have so much time in life. We don't have enough to divide it amongst multiple other people.
To be fair they are 17 and this is the time to do something like that. He could date both independently of eachother at the same time and choose after he gets a feel of who he likes better and dumps the other one.
>Even if he could pull off a 3P
He can't. He would rather ship them together and sip a beverage while reading a book.
>only one that isn't mouth rape is Saika
I, the person you replied to, am a Yukinofag. I just told that guy not to provoke you guys.
>Yuifags don't shitpost or trash other girls
You're kidding right? Unless it's falseflaggers.
Don't do this.
Yui is sweet to him and doesn't bribe him for his affection with MAX COFFEE like Yukino. She genuinely likes him naturally in an uncontrived way like Yukino. Yui herself said that she would have fallen for him anyways without the dog thing. Yui will also forgive 8man for just about anything and wouldn't tell him no one cares about him or that he should just fuck off from the club.
Seriously, what makes you think that 8man's feelings are the same that Yui's got for him? First of all - girl out of MC's league, MC isn't popular, obvious pair, the ending has marked a "forced cookie gift" - he was skeptical about taking it, yet Yui's put the token of gratitude in his hand, could anyone explain me their point of view in this situation? Please bring proof if possible, I want to understand both the sides, but I think it's impossible to get the YuixBatman idea as long as there are infinitely more symbols of a different, yet perfectly normal/symmetric/opposite couple
There is no way Yui doesn't win this
>first girl to like him
>likes him the most
>he strung her along for months
>saved her ship
>wants to be with him
>would be destroyed if he rejects her
Yukino doesn't have this much cred and can pull about any guy she wants so sh would be fine if he rejected her
>first girl to like him
And he doesn't care
>likes him the most
Irrelevant if he doesn't feel the same way.
>he strung her along for months
Wrong because he never pursued her like that and only recently has he tried keeping his promise with her.
It's Yui's own fault for trying to make that promise more than it originally was.
>saved her ship
>wants to be with him
So does Yukino except she won't abandon him if he doesn't choose her like Yui would.
>would be destroyed if he rejects her
Never, all I want is 8man and Yukino to be happy.
Even if it isn't with each other.
He never tells Yui straight up that he doesn't love her when hge knows she is dying to be with him. That is strining along someone, when you don't tell them your honest feelings and give them hope. 8man has given Yui hope time and time again.
>It's Yui's own fault for trying to make that promise more than it originally was.
Well no shit. You go out and promise to hang out with someone who is really really into you and see if they don't try to make it a bigger deal than it is.
>So does Yukino except she won't abandon him if he doesn't choose her like Yui would.
Yukino has tried to abandon him before over less. You think Yukino would be happy and not affected at all if he choose Yui? Yui will stay by his side for almost any reason.
Yukino will never give him something genuine and considering how much she ignores it I doubt she even wants to hive him something genuine.
>Yukino has tried to abandon him before over less.
Actually that one thing she tried to abandon him for was one of the things most important to her, she tried to hold on to her beliefs and not even 8man was going to make her give them up like he did.
By the end she almost did give them up completely just to be able to stay with him and Yui.
What did I say that you find silly?
>she tried to abandon him for was one of the things most important to her
And she did. It only took 8man wanting something genuine and most importantly Yui to not abandon him. She wouldn't have cared about genuine without Yui.
Still quite invested but Spyro (understandably don't get me wrong) burning out from all the workhas been a downer, but I'll see it to the end anyway even with the not quite as good translations. Largely I just like that, although the drama is heightened obviously, it does land on some emotionally honest and relateable character dynamics along the way, and well Yukino and Saki are about as cute as they come.
Unlike /a/ Hachiman doesn't think with his dick because we all know the first girl to show interest (Yui) would be getting pounded even though Yukino is the best girl.
Thank god for something called compatibility.
She's into some kinky stuff.
It is something he has always wanted but didn't realize it. Yukino doesn't want him to have it unless it is what she thinks it is. Genuine can be anything and Yui would support it.
Yukino like Haruno just wants it to be real, genuine is the last thing she believes in.
She wants what she thinks genuine is to be real but she knows that her definition could be wrong since it's prone to errors.
Yui doesn't care about what genuine means she just wants to be with 8man and Yukino no matter what.
Yukino and 8man are friends who only have platonic feelings for each other.
Nice try falseflagger, Haruno doesn't believe genuine exists.
>She wants what she thinks genuine is to be real but she knows that her definition could be wrong since it's prone to errors.
That was before a lot of things happen, maybe she has a stronger idea of what she wants.
Deep platonic feelings. They will have a special friendship.
They'll end up platonically sleeping with each other for exercising then platonically marry to raise their platonic family for economical purposes.
We both know that they want to have consensual sex in the missionary position for the sole purpose of reproduction where they hold hands, her legs lock tightly behind his back, they hold eye contact the entire time and they orgasm simultaneously
What does she do with her wings during all of this?
Yes, his eyes are so disgusting that she can't look away from them. She keeps thinking about them and subconsciously she's drawn closer and closer in an attempt to verify whether or not this horrifying sight is real or fake.
It's just plain disgusting.
Of course. It's a well known fact that kissing boosts the immune system. It's only natural that she would kiss her platonic husband to stay healthy.
Relax, it's not like it's romantic or anything.
No, that's Miura. Hikki is relatively pure
That's why I put in the "relatively" in there
When will she get rid of all those sluts that are after her Hikki?
So when will Saki ask Yukino and Yui for help regarding 8man? When will she share the fact that 8man confessed to her back during the school festival and has since, seemingly forgotten about it?
How will both girls react to this news?
>But he is Yui's boyfriend.
You mean Miura's boyfriend.
Miura had to remind Hachiman that Yui wouldn't date him and find Yui liking him replusive. Miura is only friends with that dumb slut to keep an eye on her, besides, Yui has Tobe and even calls him by the nickname Tobeechi, they fucked.
Watarin is going to deliver an OMK ending.
Hachiman and Hayama are OTP.
Two sides of the same coin, birds of a feather.
They'll realize this in volume twelve.
It's going to be younger non-alcoholic non-smoking sensei.
I was about to say that her failure only made her stronger but I immediately realized that's wrong.
Missing her chance at genuine caused her to take up smoking and drinking and made her unappealing to men. I hope she at least takes solace in the fact that she's helping 8man find something genuine.
They decided to put their trust in him, assuming that he was going to solve it without fucking himself over. Had he told them about his plan beforehand, they would have probably stopped him. They would have either come up with another plan, or the far better alternative, just let Hayato's group crash and burn.
If Hachiman merely is looking for a brainless sex toy incapable of having a conversation with any depth and who has typical teenage hobbies which he mocks and derides; and moreover wants a girl who is disgusted with his dark views and who looks down on otakus such as himself, then yes he would choose Yui. Otherwise, he would make the wise choice of Yukino.
Considering how asshurt they got by him doing it they would at least get pissed that he even suggested it but yeah they would stop it. Yukino was ready to kill him they next time he entered the club afterwards.
Genuine wouldn't have been as meaningful to him and them and would have never occurred so I guess it is for the best. The club is in great shape during vol 11 save for one elephant.
It was mountains out of molehills. In fact I think that is 90% of drama in this anime.
I see a lot of space to Hachiman's left. The closest zone of interpersonal space is called the "intimate zone". Yui is not allowed there, but an Ice Queen is allowed there by the man who melted her heart
Yukino with her family's resources could deal with Yandere Yui issues from over a thousand yards away
It deeply hurts to have to put her best friend turned sociopath down
That picture is from a certain "vote for best girl" contest from a few months back, different competing girls from other anime were shown reflected in the scope as Yukino won each round.
They left everything up to him, as they often do and did. They really had no right to complain about his spur-of-the-moment solution; even Haruno calls Yukino on this, saying she's being like her mother in letting others do the dirty work
I prefer if they enjoy the use of their weapons
I'm going to post this everyday until you like it.
Hachiman may not be the Hikigaya that Yukino is gunning for
>implying Yukino wouldn't be the one choosing Yui
Yukino already has Yui, they do sleepovers together and Hachiman in the LN has Hachiman already commenting on their slightly Yuru Yuri relationship. Only question is which one also gets a boyfriend
Yukino's opinon on his views changes, a simple example from anime is "I hate how you affirm weakness" to "I don't hate how you affirm weakness". She at first berates his seemingly lazy ways, but later notes that while he claims to not want to work, he really is a person who works hard and gets things done.
They both love to read, to discuss philosophical issues, love historical sites, enjoy being focused and to work hard on projects that help others, and they both like cats.
Outside of anyones favorite girl character, objectively the best girl considering long term would be girl who loves family, is loyal, is mature....Kawasaki Saki would make best wife for Hachiman.
Yukino will end up with her first love, Hayato
Didn't you see her face of absolute despair? The answer is yes
And Hachiman will end up with his long lost childhood friend Yumiko
That isn't despair, this is despair. Your pic is heartbroken and sad.
I do think she saw them however, the dialogue doesn't really imply romance but them eyeraping eachother does. Yui thinks Yukino likes him.
They're a package deal. She wants a Nee-san. She ships 8man and ANY girl, does she realize that she indirectly contributed to a love triangle? I doubt she knows one is going on.
Yes. She barely cares about Orimoto slutting it up and doesn't give him treats intentionally. All she does is act shy since she doesn't know how to do chocolate, fight with Miura, and get mad at her sister for not listening to her.
It's "Suspension Bridge Effect".
Also, what 8man is suffering from the club and sensei is known as "Stockholm Syndrome".
Lastly, the effect Iroha is having on him is commonly called "Big Brother Instinct".
That is surprise, not despair. THIS is despair.
so did Yui ever learn to respect people's personal space.
she's otherwise a sweetie but it seems her friends have boundary issues that she really shouldn't press as she does
Fuck I'm retarded. It's too late for this shit
Pasted the URL in the wrong place
Double YY a shit.
8man still gives a fuck about them only because he doesn't have better friends around and also because they're 10/10 beauties.
Iroha a shit too, she's a blackmailing bitch, and a cheating slut to boot.
Yeah, I see it going that way too. Had vol 11 not happened as it did I think they wouldn't. The real problem is will the rejected one stop being friends with 8man? If 8man rejects either would he use the "just friends" approach or would he just flat out say he doesn't like her in that way. I don't think either would put herself out of the running unless he put her there.
>The real problem is will the rejected one stop being friends with 8man?
Yui might not but probably only in the case that YukiHachi happens but she will stay Yukino's friend. Yui seems like the type to hold a candle so if it is a straight rejection with him not choosing a girl. I can see her sticking around. Yukino would probably still want him around as I think she would still be satisfied with being his friend even if she wanted something a little different than him. Yukino's big thing is genuine and unless she thinks it is her pussy then she will be fine with it.
>I don't think either would put herself out of the running unless he put her there.
Remains to be seen. vol 11 sorta nipped that in the bud but you never know. I don't think it will be choosing friendship over love since I feel that their relationship can handle that now.
>If 8man rejects either would he use the "just friends" approach
He'd hate himself for it. He wouldn't do such a cop out.
I picture something like this.
>I didn't want to hurt her feelings but I couldn't lie to her either. I had to tell her the truth in the simplest most direct way possible and as those words left my mouth and I saw her dejected expression I hated myself for hurting her. Even if I knew it was the right thing to do.
>The club was quite for a week after that. Y and I tried to talk to Y but she always managed to elude us or wouldn't return our calls or emails. We talked about it together but neither of us knew what to say to Y.
>At the end of the second week we where at a loss. But that's when the door slid open and she came back in, smiling. I was shocked. We could tell she was still hurt but her smile appeared truly genuine.
>Quickly I looked back over at Y and together we started to apologize but before we could say anything, Y apologized to us for disapearing for so long. We where confused but somehow we knew the only thing to say. "Welcome back"
basically Loser girl gets some time off to cry her heart out and comes back and everyone realizes that they're still friends even if they had an awkward episode
That or Yui gets hit by a truck
>Double YY a shit
This. A thousands times this. Just the fact that they never confronted 8man about the accident for well over a year it's enough to be called that. But not only that, even after getting to know him they still ignored everything like nothing ever happened. They're beyond shit.
About Iroha, though, I totally disagree on the
part, and gotta ignore the obvious bait about
Yukino would probably try to force herself to not let it seem like she is upset even if she is dying on the inside. Yui might too although I think Yui would cry at the point of rejection. Yukino probably would either smile and look away or run away.
A 17 year old boy wants to spend time with hot chicks that like him who he also likes. What an amazing thing.
well the idea is after some time they'd all just naturally fall back together.
Yuki could be made for a solid week but then somehow instinctively find herself back int he clubroom
That would be nice but I don't want to see either hurt. It would feel cheap if he doesn't choose though. If what you say happens I can live with it because that takes the edge off of the rejection.
Gentlemen, I liked cats. Gentlemen, I loved cats. I liked American shorthair cats. I liked toroiseshell cats. I liked Sphinx cats. I liked ragdolls. I liked American curl cats. I liked Scottish Fold cats. I liked Persian cats. I liked Singapuras. I liked Russian Blue cats.
>Back alley, cat beds, cat tower, the top of a refrigerator, under the bed, on the rail of the veranda, inside a cardboard box, in a paper bag, on a person’s back, and in a futon.
I loved all the cats who were all over the place
>…Actually, it’s the bastards who abused cats that I couldn’t forgive. I wanted people who didn’t cherish life to die. I absolutely hated people who didn’t cherish life!
Major Hachiman should've just waged war on those Riajuu bastards instead of this RomCom nonsense
Recruiting 1k+ ghouls should be easy enough as it is, since he's already got full control of the student council
So which Y
Yanderewill earn the 8 bowl and defeat the others?
I wonder if 8man asked would she let him feel them.
Not true, she also has a nice ass, she is cute, and a very good girl. She is loving and comfy, she is ready to unleash a torrent of dere at any moment.
Once you eat something made by the bich, you'll really feel like a dog, remember how 8man felt like a pet being fed in the 2nd ep. of Zoku? Yeah.. No, 8man's got the consciousness to refuse being a dog unless if he ends up being poisoned with another cookie junk made by Yui
Check your facts bruh, the first one who threw the shots on this thread was a Yuifag, well.. Also, anon, they like Yui for her intelligence, and that's a fact, she can't even make some cookies with support.. God forbid their ship, at least we have YuixBatman to make up for the deficit
I just want to watch these two social misfits raise a family. Is that too much to ask for?
What we never realized was that Oregairu was never a story about a social outcast learning to find his place in the world. It was about two different girls misplacing their love for each other on a mutual friend but soon, he will make them realize the true conclusion for their issues is with each other.
Save her from what goddamit? What the fuck is her problem? Why the fuck this show keeps forcing drama? What the fuck is the problem with everyone? Why is everyone always fucking upset?
Fuck this shit
Well, it was an incredibly mean-spirited post. 8man and Yukino are the heart and soul of Yahari. Wishing death upon one of them is obviously not going further any kind of discussion.
Are you putting down the Hachimachi fanfiction?
yes, right before they have lesbian hate-sex. We already know what that will sound like, just play the clip of them going "ah?" "huh?", it'll be like that but faster and going up in pitch as they near climax
8man isn't the only one who likes cats.
It's a Japanese thing. Don't question it.
Well it's obviously more personal than standing apart yet less personal than holding hands. Perhaps you're simply a trustworthy individual or she's trying to deceive and manipulate you. You're thinking about it, that means it's working.
It's a proper and shy Japanese girl's way of showing affection when they really wish they could be holding the guy's hand at least, or maybe hugging his arm and crushing it against her breasts. You'll see more bold girls doing that even in Oregairu, e.g. Yumiko with Hayama
Yeah, this. How do you know it's even a girl? In all my years, I have never once met one of these so-called "girls" in my entire life, so I'm inclined to believe you are being manipulated.
The only girl who knows how to fight, who has actually been in fights, knows how to destroy a person without needing to get physical, and who lives on a creed of revenge.
>creed of revenge
Don't tell me best girl is in danger
Not if she makes the fatal mistake of threatening her family
It's the volume 12 and OVA ending. After Yukino's request to have them continue the service club because her family is sending her abroad for her third year, they walk together to the train station. But a speeding truck ignores the intersection stoplight, and without hesitation Hachiman lifts and throws the girl most precious to him out of harm's way. When the paramedics come, Yukino is screaming her love confession to a broken and dead corpse. Hysterical Yukino does not even learn until the next day of the second death, of the long pool of gore, ending in a crimson tire print with intact hair bun at the side.
Almost a week later, after coming home from Hikigaya Hachiman's funeral service, Yukino sat in her dark apartment, placing a note next to a few other objects sacred to her. The short message spoke of immense regret of never having the courage to give the man she loved something genuine. She took a dagger and committed seppuku like a female samurai, driving it into her throat. Her body was found in the midst of her suicide note, a cheaper pan-san plushie often found in crane games, a pan-san themed cup and straw, an empty can of MAX Coffee, and a picture of her holding the sleeve of a young man on a Destinyland ride while smiling at him. Instead of her usual red hair ties, Yukinoshita Yukino's hair was tied in a pink scrunchie; and she was wearing an orange class F cultural festival shirt that was not the one of her class J.
The following day a certain middle school girl threw herself in front of a truck on a busy highway, after shouting she was going to join her Oniisan and Oneesan. Her body was run over by ten other vehicles before all traffic stopped.
>Hysterical Yukino does not even learn until the next day of the second death, of the long pool of gore, ending in a crimson tire print with intact hair bun at the side.
>The following day a certain middle school girl threw herself in front of a truck on a busy highway, after shouting she was going to join her Oniisan and Oneesan. Her body was run over by ten other vehicles before all traffic stopped.
At dusk, the body of a grade school girl topped with a pink beret swung in the cold February breeze from a swing set frame. The rope was fashioned of braids from a long haired blonde wig identified as taken from the school play prop storage. In the pocket of her coat the girl had a note written about "being with the loner's club". This spawned a macabre tradition; for years afterword girls committing suicide in Chiba would also leave notes of going to join with "the loners club"
Say hello to jail. I'll marry her while you're there.
>Besides the MC and Iroha, the characters are all bland and archetypal.
Agreed, irohaordeath m8
Rumi's purpose in the story is obviously to have the nicest hat.
Yeah, I know. Incredibly out of character. If this is what it takes to make 8man end up with Yui, then I don't want it. I don't want a sympathy win, I want 8man to choose her because he likes her the most, not because Watari is erasng 8man's personality just to make pander to me.
Rumi never had genuine friendship; she had high schoolers try to help her, and she was star of school play, but none of that will get her a genuine friend. In fact that school play might turn her into a Yui with ungenuine cliques, or worse might lead to the life of a Japanese Idol
That hat is extremely genuine.
I want to
scareSaki so hard on our Christmas Eve date.
She told him straight up that she wasn't going to become president because of Haruno, it was 8man's own fault for thinking she meant something else.
Things obviously changed since then.
Dude. You just went against your own words. If he doesn't like it, regardless of the reasoning, just drop it. You said yourself you understand how people can dislike a niche show, why prod further? You have too much good to do today to worry about negativity.
>Implying that will ever be a problem or concern.
Keep scaring her and she might really grab that kitchen knife by reflex. You don't want to die do ya?
About damn time you came back.
Then I'll just haunt Saki forever to scare her even more. And we'll have the greatest love story of all time.
They should fight.
Fight over what?
Who's undergarments 8man saw first?
Looks like /a/ forgot about really the best girl.
>You will never get to witness these two catfight over various reasons in college.
Why even live?
If it wasn't for her and Orimoto, I wouldn't have even bothered with season 2.
>They end up being friends to 8man in college
>DRAMA happens and they realize they want the 8inch
>they race to confess to him
>they barge into his room and see him having vanilla sex with pic related
Orimoto a cute.
Nigga, it'll be the hottest hate-sex in the history of japan
Honestly? Very low.
At best, we'll get 8man being a sensei and
getting a pretentious essay about society from Rumi.
Didn't Orimoto end up having her own harem by the end of the Christmas event? There was that one shot of her surrounded by guys that looked like it came straight out of Brazzers.
Seriously. I think YY would feel suicidal if that happened. Yui's friend from her previous clique and the girl that dumped a bunch of work on Yukino winning the 8inch?
What a beautiful way to lose.
They'd go nuts if anyone other than them won.
What kind of "nuts"?. There is crying for a week; then there is full-on-yandere nuts. And only one girl is expert martial artist, has been in fights, and brags of ability to hold a grudge and never forget.
why not, Orimoto is the final straw that pushed Hachiman over the edge to being the dark, cynical loner that he is now. Ending in relationship with her would fit the title perfectly, just wrong as expected
If out of everything that Yahari as a series has to offer, you come to the conclusion that it was Orimoto that was the only thing worth watching about this series, then you should just stop.
Aikido makes you an expert in martial arts to the same extent that kung fu does (which is to say, not at all). In the case of aikido, probably least so since aikido is a completely passive martial art with no striking, grappling or submissions, only throws (and throws that are less effective than what you could get out of judo or amateur wrestling, at that). It's a very pretty "art", but it's hardly a "martial" art.
Here's a good write up about it.
I'm having fun too. What Yumiko should do is get this thing with Hayama off her chest, just confess to him and then if he rejects her just burn his clique down by not associating with nor talking to Hayama, Tobe, Yamato, or Oota again. Would serve Hayama right.
That's what makes a dark horse victory so fun. And besides, Yumiko is in my opinion a cute and she's already been eye fucked by 8man
I would very much like that. I'd read a 3-4 volume series about Yumiko burning down Hayama's group and then finding true friendship with Saki and them going on adventures or whatever.
You have an incomplete understanding of the entire realm of Aikido and just repeat an urban legend; no only does it include maiming and killing techniques but also weapons training of knife, staff and sword. Not that I would pick that particular art to study, but I wouldn't dismiss it either.
Kung fu is just a word to describe many different chinese fighting styles, even the Japanese "Karate" schools came from them. Certainly many world champion martial artists came from a kung-fu background
Nah, I think you're the one repeating an urban legend. I don't personally walk around with a knife, staff, or sword (and I don't see other people doing so either), so I fail to see how such weapons training could be effective (especially here in 'Murica where you can just get a gun).
As for kung fu, I can't think of a single UFC champion that would claim a kung fu background. The closest I can think of would be TJ Dillashaw (because he uses some very unconventional striking, with his hands low) who studies Muay Thai, and Lyoto Machida, who basically grew up in a karate dojo and also just so happens to have a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jutsu.
not saying Orimoto is what Oregairu has to offer, just pointing out if I was author and wanted deliciously ironic and comical "just wrong" ending that would be it. She is not the girl I favor, I like Kawasaki and Yukino. Kuuderes are what float my boat
Full Aikido training includes also includes defense techniques against knife, staff and sword attackes; besides offensive use and retention.
UFC is only one tournament federation of many in the world
UFC isn't a tournament federation. It's the biggest MMA organization in the world. If aikido or kung fu had anything of value to offer, someone would have come in and dominated by now. Conor McGregor is only an interim champion, and the LOSER of his title fight made over $500,000 from that fight alone, so the money is there for anyone skilled enough. It's also not point sparring, which is one of the bigger problems with karate/TKD.
We went from primary girl posting to secondary girl posting to kung fu posting.
I will be happy to secondary girl post.
Waifuposting will always be best though.
No, but seriously, it's literally only me and one other anon posting about martial arts, and this thread probably isn't a good medium for such a discussion. I just watch a good bit of MMA and can get a bit into it when talking about fighting.
These threads suck. I'm so pissed off. I'm so mad. Every fucking day when I come home my fat useless pleb roommate bolts for the bathroom and shits it up for 30 fucking minutes and it stinks so bad I fucking hate him. I am telling you this because I feel the same way whenever that whore Yui shows up.
be more accurate to say UFC with its rules, profit drive, U.S.-centricity, and need for sensationalism is going to have certain kinds of fighters and fighting styles. You can't assume that the best martial artists in the world are there, nor that other styles have no value. The real value of a fighting style would be its use in protecting something or someone against evil
The rules, profits, and US-centricity only really drive it to favor striking pretty heavily. Other than that, you'd have a hard time simulating a real fight better than MMA. It's not like UFC is the ONLY organization, either. There's also been PRIDE, Pancrase (both based out of Japan, though Pancrase usually had fixed finishes and PRIDE had yakuza paying people to take dives), Strikeforce, and Bellator. Aikido's presence in all of these has been nonexistent. Besides, it's not like any of the aikido techniques are banned, aside from weapons training (which, again, can be completely subverted with a gun). "Protecting something" makes no sense and has no context in a fight. A fight is a fight, there's science behind striking, joint locks, and chokes. If aikido had any value, everything it had to offer would be scrutinized, borrowed, and broken down to figure out its effectiveness and weaknesses. This is also the very reason no aikido master would ever consider doing a fight on a big stage, the art would be exposed. Again though, it is a very pretty art, the kind of thing any action movie actor should learn.
