Eyecandy moe girl keeps talking in third person as if she has the downs or something
>MC is a 13-14 year old
Well get over it. Eternal loli will never ever go away. They're fun if you're not queer.
>MC is dying
>"HAHAHA your so weak fagit"
>then sudden flashback
>"Remember who you are fighting for..."
>FUCK IM SO STRONG NOW RAAHHHHHHHHHHH
>insert hype bgm
>suddenly beat bad guy in a fashion that makes the complete fight worthless
That's the worst. It's like when you play a video game and beat the boss only to get a cutscene of your characters bloody and broken with the boss talking about how weak you are.
>young child with limbs that resemble dry spaghetti
>but they got talent/bloodline/destiny bullshit
>can plow through giant mountain men who have lived a lifetime of bloody combat like its nothing
>there is no magical bullshit involved to boot, its just that they are so fucking gifted for some reason
Literally the worst
>not believing in the power of love/friendship
>series ends abruptly leaving unanswered questions
I am still upset
>unlocked bathroom doors
>MC walks in just as female is un/dressing
>"KYAA!" and MC is smacked to the face
thank god more series has started making fun of that stuff lately.
>the universe actively prevents the attractive, talented, smart, 26+ year old women from finding a boyfriend
>Shes supposed to be a cool beauty
You've got to be kidding me.
I'm pretty sure this one is usually explained by her having to high standards for her partners or a shit personality. It pisses me off in Harem settings though, when they're all over highschool MCs dick.
What is Japan's obsession with young characters? Why are all these demon fighting world savers 14-19 year olds? What's wrong with having young adult or full adult characters, surely then more people could relate to the characters and it would seem as juvenile and retarded.
MC's girl is a peace princess who is always right and good.
The villain is comically evil or genocidal without a reason (Char in CCA had a reason, Rau in Seed had none).
Main hero survives because of the sudden piano from the bushes.
MC's girl is useless.
MC is afraid of killing.
>Character is supposed to be a lovable goof
>He/she isn't actually funny, is obnoxious as shit and causes trouble for everyone else
>Character verbally and/or physically abuses others constantly
>Show has a cold opening
>Every dramatic element in a show is caused by petty misunderstandings
>Characters behave like an old married couple five minutes after meeting each other
>Male characters allow themselves to get bullied by random females who they hardly know and don't even stick up for themselves when they are clearly in the right
Fucking hate this shit breh.
>characters are killed off simply for shock value or to show that the author "means business"
>not liking lolihags
It's all the advantages of a loli plus all the advantages of an adult. Nothing can defeat it.
>The character that actually wants to fuck bitches never gets shit because all of them are attracted to the beta as fuck MC who might as well be called gay
This. Any character that has been developed enough for the audience to care about is going to add far more to the story by virtue of existing than the shock value you get from killing them off. You need to accomplish something more with their death.
>One of the girls in the harem group is actually a guy
In the terms of annoyance, from the most to the less:
Moeshit in general and every idol show after Love Live S1 in particular.
Transparent lipstick on the lower lip.
GuP, SW and Slutships-tier shows.
Shitloads of clumsy fanservice in modern anime.
Kyoani circus with jumping around, clumsiness forced just for this cadre, palms up etc. usw.
>>>Characters behave like an old married couple five minutes after meeting each other
Fucking Rakudai fucking slutella, stop saying you love each other you stupid shits you have known each other for less than one week holy fucking shit.
>>Character is supposed to be a lovable goof
>>He/she isn't actually funny, is obnoxious as shit and causes trouble for everyone else
>three quarters of the way through they break the fourth wall to tell you to put up with their bullshit just a little bit longer because they're important to the plot
>this actually happened
>MC bumps into a girl and they fall on the ground
>MC's hand is on the girls breast
>Show MC's face
>Show girls face
>MC panics as the girl screams
Seriously, how do you say "Oh sorry for squeezing your tit 7 times" is an accident, atleast try to be alpha about it
The way antimagic managed this trope is what made Mari my favorite. Extremely cute.
Cicadas are good, you’re just trying to watch too much slices in a row. I’ve grown accustomed to them during the endless eight, and then I wanted them from time to time, so I’ve watched explicitly slices about school life. Then that period has lasted a bit too long and I started to hate them, but afterwards I always want to hear them again.
>Character keeps bringing up one of their hobbies, or a recurring joke happens to them over and over again
>It almost never has any relevance to the situation
We get it, this girl has an obsession with something and the other one keeps falling over and a different one is basically a tea making robot shut the fuck up.
>The male character is the one that gets annoyed that the door wasn't locked and tells them off
A VN called Sharin no Kuni. You play as a teenage corrections officer/ex-veteran in a very pretty police state. The three most important male characters fake disabilities throughout the entire game. Of these, the best friend character fakes insanity/retardation until just before the end, where he is pretty cool- but not enough to make up for how much of an insufferable dumbfuck he was for the rest of it.
I'm sick of hayai bullshit. I know the actual reason for that is because animation is cheap when your character moves at lightspeed, but it makes the whole thing look stupid. When was the last time anime had battles done at normal, human speed?
>characters try to speak english
Fucking nips, how hard can it be to learn to correctly pronounce two sentences?
The script is in katakana. Also your average VA isn't that much more intelligent than any other celebrities
>Eyecandy moe girl keeps talking in third person as if she has the downs or something
No I'm not. And it's just stupid. If I'm able to correctly pronounce a japanese sentence, they should be able to do the same with and english/german/whatever sentence. It isn't even deep understanding of the language, it's simple hearing and repeating
The little sister doesn't win.
She's sidelined as a sub heroine.
>no talent ugly blue hair bitch that cant cook
>gets 3rd place in elite tournament
>no talent ugly blue hair bitch that cant cook
She handled the monkfish pretty well, I haven't read the manga, but it seems like she is at least somewhat competent, from what I hear
>contemporary military forces are useless
>even armored and aircraft divisions
>even fucking ballistic missiles or rocket artillery
>naturally, it falls to the MC in his mecha to solve the situation
>the mecha runs on infinite fuel and laser ammo that does not run out, has no clear limitations in mobility, pilot interface or anything remotely physics-based, and does not seem to need realistic maintenance cycles
>it is all nonsensical bullshit with no limitations that makes reality-based designs obsolete just so a teenager can save the world
I hate this trope almost as much as I hate characters with obviously god-tier powers who choose not to use them to their fullest for some stupid reason or another.
>muh obvious death by hubris
Rarely to writers ever make use of this compellingly.
You have shit taste if you think an entire genre is an overused trope. Now, if you meant 'mecha series that don't have any reason to be a mecha series' such as shows like >>134035663 suggested, then I'd agree.
>Now, if you meant 'mecha series that don't have any reason to be a mecha series'
No mecha series has any reason to be a mecha series. They all rely on ridiculous amounts of hand waving or hamfistedly tailormade plots to justify why you need laughably oversized humanoid robots/battlesuits to deal with the threat at hand
