I love the series, but the anime fucked everything up. The first season was OK, but the second season and the last movie were total trash. Just read the manga if you want to know the story and be happy with what has already been animated so far.

Since you're reading the manga after watching the anime, just understand that a lot of the episodes from the anime, especially the second season, are completely out of order. The manga, overall, was entertaining.

Just remember there was supposed to be a third season. And the first movie was supposed to be fidel to the manga.

But a tsunami ruined the budget destroying all the work done.

You can see some frames of the "original" movie if you lurk enough, but it's nothing.

That's upsetting. The funny thing is, when I watched the first 2 episodes of Sora no Otoshimono, I did not like it. I though it was bogus and stopped for like, over a month. But since I've been on Thanksgiving break, I decided to just watch it, and fell in love with it. Easily one of my favorites now, and here I am, wishing it were never over.
