I like how tomino whose notorious for slaughtering any and everyone said that she was too evil to get off scott free with death. I dont think ive seen a more brutal (but deserved) fate than katejina gets.

I kind of hate that victory gets such a bad rep, its got a fuck ton of problems but frankly alot of those problems were present in zeta yet everyone seems to give that show a free pass on them while victory gets shit on for them. Victory had some of the most human characters and generally it was one of the better directed and paced shows form tomino who is frankly a pretty ass directly 90% of the time (good story writer but generally not good at bringing them to life)

Zeta is overrated as fuck and shits the bed harder in the 2nd half than most of the franchise, victory has its problems but its leagues better than zeta

It's one of my favorite gundam shows for sure, as long as you can ignore how utterly stupid the setting is. I'm never going to rewatch it, I've had enough Katejina for a lifetime. There was a time where I thought nobody could top Reccoa but talk about being proven wrong.

Zeta gets shit on plenty, though? Zeta's message isn't muddled to shit, doesn't possess the inappropriate mood whiplash, predictable turning points and deaths, characters specifically designed or fleshed out suddenly to die (usually to heavily illustrate a point), and characters' motivations and actions aren't as disjointed or without logic as Victory's no matter how many people bring up Reccoa.

Victory has better choreography during MS battles, that's about it.

Victory had its merits, but to me one of its more glaring problems was that it felt too much like Zeta for the sake of doing so. This would be fine and all, but the problem is that the show pretty much starts itself up with "yeah we're doing Zeta again, so fuck any backstory because you know what the score is".

There's other problems too, like too much weekly toy battle at the expense of story (which is a bummer because I watch Gundam for the story first, characters second and toys last). Victory had a great cast and could have had a great story, but pissed so much time away on shit like motorbikes, Shakti and the Angel Halo.

Zeta undeniably has its problems too, but to me it seemed like a more even ride

00 had some very well directed battles but the regular fights were more like IBO fights, not that very good animation. Victory just has fights that look good and not cheap
