Part 1 of Digimon Adventure tri., Reunion, is now available in its actual full-length version from your local torrent sites.
Part 2, Decision, is released on 12th March 2016.
It will focus on Mimi and Rosemon, Jou and Vikemon and Imperialdramon. The relation of Imperialdramon to the Adventure cast is currently unknown.
Your threadly reminder that Mimi Tachikawa will forever and always be the Eternal Best Girl.
Reminder that he is the new biggest jobber.
>There are people who hate that the characters actually have arcs again after 02
>That they've changed as people in these 5 years
>That they wish they'd been static from the end of Adventure to the start of Tri
>When the worst thing of 02 was how static and undeveloped everyone is
It's been three whole threads without anyone saying "post your partner", did you notice?
>Digivolves into a Digimon of the same level
Just remove the Stages and just post Digimon you like, this is fucking retarded.
And you people bitch about how Xros had no powerlevels.
Threadly reminder of who the best partner is.
>can't sexualize the ones that look human
>can't sexualize the ones that don't look human
What the hell do you expect me to do?
Source if anyone is curious.
This exists though.
Anon, you know what happens if you don't sexualize her right?
>I believe that is more than a sign of camaraderie
Well yeah but tell that to the animators and rabid shippers.
Lordy is a girl now, deal with it.
Now touch her puffy vulva.
That was a thing from the murrikan dub, in the original they interacted a fuckton but without any romantic hints
because they're kids for god's sake. I believe that's why both of them will have focus in the second movie, they were always very good friends and Jyou always tried to help Mimi the best he could, now I believe it'll have role reversal. Could be very interesting.
>using digital monsters as anything other than tools to carry out your will
I need to stop playing so much smt, it's messing with my perception of other franchises
It'll probably be a 'I know you're in there fight' in other words Vikemon and Rosemon beat the shit out of Imperialdramon/Ken/Davis until they come to their sense.
Episode ends with Mimi giving Ken advice on how to date girls (Yolei) and Davis advice on how to win the Karibowl.
Jou's girlfriend is finally revealed...to be some tsundere in a VN he is playing.
That was the party I got gitty as Tailmon is my favorite out of the chosen Digimon and for it to be acknowledged as an adult level Digimon able to fight on par with other Adult digimon made me hapoy. Good job Tri. Now don't have Seraphimon job.
I doubt the 02 kids are going to go back soon. They'd take too much focus from the 01 kids, who are supposed to be the main characters in Tri.
The 02 kids will probably appear in the last movie.
>Jou's girlfriend is finally revealed...to be some tsundere in a VN he is playing.
>not a cheery upbeat girl with moderate breast size
>who went abroad
>and likes to tease the mc
>also a candy-lover
>Mimi just smiled
[insert deranged laughter here]
You can also marry a pillow
Joe is has always the butt of the series. I really hope he gets his moment in this upcoming movie. Don't disappoint me, Toei.
Of course he'll get his moment.
This has all been build up.
There have been plenty of post describing how Jou's characterization is consistent across Adventure, 02 and now Tri and this is the climax of it.
Hello it's me again, Taichi x Mimi fag. And yes I agree with Mimi being best girl. Since 02 i found her best girl. Anyway I'll just put this here.
More useful butt than Yamato for good part of the series. Sad thing he didn't get a mega, but now that will change.
Seriously, while Jou whined about their situation, he actually got shit done everytime and improved. Meanwhile Yamato whined, complained, fought with Taichi, then suddenly got better just to listen to some obvious not-shady looking Digimon put shit on his head so he can whine and fight with the group again.
Wait, Yamato actually listened to shady Digimons talking bullshit about twice in the show.
Anyone will realistic expectations did.
The people who didn't are the ones who wanted it to completely ignore 02 on every level, Sakugafags who complain because anime is a product and only care about animation quality, and people who haven't watched Adventure in years and were only operating on nostalgia of how much they liked Adventure as a kid.
Good, because he deserves it
Can I sexualise husbandomon?
Honestly, I felt so damn giddy watching it. It was like catching up with friends you haven't seen in forever, especially with the scene of Agumon popping out for the first time.
STOP RIGHT THERE MISTER
Don't sexualize the angels Anon. They're just good friends and comrades.
If you want to touch shipping crap you don't need to touch the shit changed stuff from the murrikan dub, because you know that plate was changed from the original, right?
You can get stuff from the original show without much effort.
I'm afraid that's not going to happen.
Kinda sad that this is probably the best drawn Digimon doujin out there since most of the stuff is either badly drawn early 00's stuff, gay or western.
Hopefully Tri rectifies that.
not them but Mimato is probably the most
>>>/trash pairing in the entirety of the Adventure series
they don't even talk for fuck's sake, even Taichi had some scenes with her in Adventure
Ken could have used it to reach the Perfect form and indeed Wormmon does have it's own individual perfect.
I assume it's another one of those plotlines that was discarded by 02.
She is boarderline cheeky imouto. Not too nice but not too clingy either. Kinda like any regular imouto in real life. It's homely and realistic.
As big brother, I personally think that imouto who is too nice and too moe is creepy as heck.
Damn. I wish they showed more of Omegamon X in action rather than just using All Delete.
He'll probably job anyways.
>End up with Angewomon as my second partner after the first partner dies
>Not particularly digisexual
>In the middle of nowhere
>She needs to shit
>Throw a portapotty at her
>My character is watching Angewomon shit in the wild
>He's been hand feeding her nothing but meat and mushrooms this whole adventure
>They spend every night huddled up in a corner somewhere sleeping under the digital stars
He is a huge sentai fanboy that he got to be a ranger and starred with Hikari's VA in Gokaiger, one of the interviews during Tri's announcement stated that he also watched Digimon growing up
>too much of a pussy
I actually kind of liked he was the only one actually worried about collateral damage. He'll get better in the next ones, but it's just weird that Taichi, of all people, is the one worried about bystanders get hurt in the crossfire.
Well it's understandable to worry about collateral damage, but as soon as they were telling him there'd be more damage if he didn't do anything, he should've pulled his head outta his ass and stopped acting like that. But he still did
Childhood trauma is hell of a drug.
He's just sort of hung up that no matter whether they win or lose, there'll still be colossal property damage, and even though they got lucky with minimal casualties in the Kuwagamon fights, that luck can't last forever. Even with Omegamon forcing Alphamon to retreat, they still couldn't protect their world and it'll be years before that damage is repaired.
Though I was kind of hoping he'd tell Greymon to throw or lead Kuwagamon away from the airport after the dead cell phone scene. It's not like there isn't a huge empty field with no airplanes nearby or anything.
What's your crackship and why do you like it?
They even each other out.
>made to believe that it was "his fault" he almost "killed" his sister
>now worries about accidentally other humans
suddenly it all makes sense now (well, even moreso than before, anyway)
it feels wrong to call this a crackship, it feels like it's within the realm of plausability.
>We never got to see an episode stinger where Machinedramon's remains rematerialize briefly to Jogress with Kimeramon's remains, ending with a silhouette of Milleniummon
A stable time loop would've made perfect sense for his origin.
That explains the cold ass stare he got when he was leaving home on the first episode.
His mom literally looked like she was wondering how the hell the door opened and closed by itself. She doesn't even see her son anymore.
how come Daisuke, Miyako and Iori got all new clothes from the digital world, but Takeru Hikari and Ken always switched to the real-world clothes they first entered the digital world with even if they weren't wearing those same clothes in the real world at the time?
Well, you are on 4chan.
In all seriousness though, I think every piece of research on the topic ever has turned up that even so much as spanking will always leave a child for the worse if it has any impact on them at all.
Did Ken ever say how he built the control spires? I know the dark rings were based off Tailmon's lost holy ring, but the towers controlled all digimon that wore the rings.
Can we assume he was extracting Milleniummon's power from the dark spore within his body to create them?
I keep seeing this name come up and I have no idea what it is.
I see people who draw Taiora stuff and people scream at them saying "you're giving the future to Milleniummon"
What the hell is Milleniummon? I say that having never explored Digimon outside of watching the TV shows and movies.
In its fully evolved form its commonly accepted to be the strongest digimon in existence. Also its origin story is odd but great, and he's the reason Ryo exists in two continuities, which never happned before Xros.
To be honest I've never seen that before, so I can't be sure, but I would guess its because Milleniummon is a full blown reality manipulator, so since 02 paired Yamato and Sora, a "change in reality" could pair Tai with Sora.
well that explains it.
Still a pretty retarded thing to say though.
He safely ignored it.
Ryo and Milleniumon isn't mentioned by name, and the whole video game adventures are barely touched upon in 02 aside from some flashback scenes.
It wasn't a very good cross-promotion.
Oh boy, here we go.
Millenniummon came about when Machinedramon dying after Adventure comes across a Chimairamon and the two merged. Millenniummon was so powerful that like Apocalymon his very existence warped space -time. He defeats all the chosen children and revives Devimon, Etemon Vamdemon and Piedmon Ryo is brought in and defeats him.
But the little asshole won't stay down. In the aftermath of "Or War Game" he comes back and splits the Digital World in two, turning Tai to stone Ryo comes back again and teams up with a young Ken to defeat Millenniummon , also Millenniummon starts htting on Ryo, as in dropping full on sexual innuendo. That's when this happens:
First one I found so quality sucks
Anyway, during that he showed off his new form:
Moon Millenniummon, his sprite trapped in a crystal, but still more powerful since he's freed of bodily limitations, becoming a I shit you not "Evil God" type Digimon.
But he's still not done. soon after Ken takes a spore to the neck the 4 Guardians set up a contest to detriment if any Tamer is worthy of them Ryo joins and wins, but it was all a test to make sure he's till up to kicking Moon Millenniummon's butt. It's also revealed the two are linked, Ryo is the light to Millenniummon's darkness which is why he's the only one who can beat him, but so long as one lives the other will too.
A massive expolsion happens during the fight and the two are flung into the time stream. Ryo ends up at the very start of ever single Digital world in the past well Millenniummon is freed from his cystal becming the even more powerful Zeed Millenniummon and sets up shop in the far future. He then invades every single Digital world in every single time stream heading back to the very beginning* Ryo confronts him one last time and we discover Millenniummon IS Ryo's partner, monodramon forces a jogress with Millenniummon trapping him in the body of Cyberdramon and Ryo decides for reasons unknown to head to the Tamer universe, which he pass by in his adventures in this last game.
*A strange rumor that he released Apocalymon and made Adventure happened is out there, but that is never mentioned in the games.
...that's pretty fucking stupid.
He does all of this without a digivice of his own and he's still able to get the digimon to ultimate even if they're partnered to other humans.
>Sora won the Yamato in the epilogue of S2.
>Sora won the Yamato
Good, she can depress him and he can lash out at her in frustration. It's what they both do.
>*A strange rumor that he released Apocalymon and made Adventure happened is out there, but that is never mentioned in the games.
Jesus I forgot about that. He always felt hamfisted to me, wonder why the ended up including him at the last minute instead of just making Piedmon the final big bad
No, though millie did appear in that manga as a xros.
He was a mindless berzerker that could not be stopped by the combined forces of the good guys and villains.
Imagine if had been able to think.
When is Taichi or Agumon going to die so we can get this?
I haven't watched Digimon since I was 10. In fact, I don't even remember watching the finale of the original Digimon Adventure, and I don't even think I've heard of 02 (but that could just be a loss of memory). I watched this tonight, but I feel like I'm missing A LOT. What should I rewatch so I can get the best out of this movie series? Is it all just useless filler? Is there a abbreviated version I should check out?
I have a friend who was a huge Digimonfag, and the only thing I can recall is that Tai got keked by Matt, with something involving cookies. Anything else besides that tidbit is lost on me.
It's not like 02 really explained where the dark seed/spore came from anyway. Yet Oikawa, Vamdemon, and Daemon all desire its power without understanding what it is, and I'm willing to bet it's the source of the control spires and influenced Ken into creating Kimeramon again.
Hell, I'd bet that the Kimeramon Ken created was the one that Jogressed to form Milleniummon in the first place, and he time traveled back immediately after that to start the events of the games.
Angel digimon just exist to fall don't they?
That reminds me, what digimon are actually the same individual?
I know mervamon is minervamon, lilithmon is ophanimon, daemon is seraphimon, and cherubimon vice is cherubimon virtue.
I'd like to think that one of the seven 02 writers finally got in touch with Bandai or maybe played Tag Tamers very late into production.
It would explain why the Dark Seeds are never mentioned until episode 43 and why they were treated like a throwaway maguffin.
It is. And it is still the best looking of all the Digimon BD releases.
>alphamon in Tri is Nat-chan
>her partner is Ryo
>she's still in love with Daisuke
>at the end of Tri Ryo leaves with cyberdramon, leaving her with Daisuke
>Daisuke's partner, best friend, adventure, and now waifu are all Ryo's sloppy seconds
>alphamon in Tri is Nat-chan
>her partner is Ryo
>she's still in love with Daisuke
>at the end of Tri Ryo leaves with cyberdramon, leaving her with Daisuke
I know what all these words are but in context they mean nothing.
The things I used to remember the most before rewatching it five years ago was (For Adventure): Angemon amd Devimon double K.O, Mimi being the frog princess, The SkullGreymon episode.
Joe saying a sutra with Sora's hat/helmet/whatever.
The one that has Taichi going temporarily home. Hikari was fucking strange in that episode and the overall feel was strange (in a good way, is like you were right there in that apartment) must be the direction.
The one with TK uses guns.
Pumpkimon and Gitsomon getting killed.
While for Adventure 02:
That one yellow digimon pissing everyone.
She's Ryo's partner in the same way v-mon was.
Upon rewatch it's almost funny how much everyone talks out of their ass as if they know what they're doing. Archnemon creating synthetic digimon out of the control spires can be attributed to Milleniummon's ability to create artificial copies of digimon and humans, Vamdemon got his ass hosed because his source of power dried up when his evilfarm kids stopped supplying him with darkness, the kids keep talking about as if they're defeating some important evil, shit like that.
The true villain of 02 was defeated long before the series even began, and only Wormmon still remembers it.
It's okay. The Royal Knights have an affirmative action policy and welcomes Beasts, Humanoids, Females and people with different sexual identities.
All you have to do is worship Yggdrasil and fight for justice.
that's good because they can put it off as a new adventure or the other side of the story, it helps with the pandering of 01 and 02
hope they throw all the story in 1-2 movies opf the 6 they releasing
I swear to god we're going to get them all as women eventually.
Even Yggdrasil was a loli once.
Take this with a grain of salt. It has been said that Digimon is increasingly being aimed at adult because it has not been selling well with kids in the New Tens. So who knows what they'll do to make it more adult-rated?
I'm not sure why though since Bamco's New Mon series and Digimon's little brother- Youkai Watch is very popular.
Wasn't her goal to "Destroy the Digital World" at one point?
I never really understood what she was actually trying to accomplish aside from kill the kids.
Can you read?
>I'm not sure why though since Bamco's New Mon series and Digimon's little brother- Youkai Watch is very popular.
> Digimon's little brother- Youkai Watch
Though i don't agree with the comparison, try finishing the sentence next time.
She tells BlackWarGreymon to destroy everything.
She and Mummymon were only meant to disrupt the Digital World enough so that Oikawa can enter. Although, that plot point came after the Holy Stone arc.
She wanted to break down the barriers between the real and digital worlds so they could conquer both. BlackWarGreymon destroying the Destiny Stones would lead to this conclusion, but that didn't work out. The control spires constructed in the real world were also supposed to break down the border too, but again, no dice.
Turns out it was all a ruse so Vamdemon could revive and get to the wish plane to power up, but she didn't know that until he revealed his master plan and went Shinji on her. Or something.
I vaguely recall him wondering if Ken "remembers" when Ken tried to sleep off his evil hangover and briefly remembered Ryo and Milleniummon in his dream. I could be wrong though.
He's never actually been very sharp, he just had an extra year of experience in the world at the age where every year mattered, and a whole lot of caution.
I think Sora was actually the next clever one after Koushiro until puberty kicked in and her brains melted into her tits.
The best part about this scene is, not only is this not Taichi's fault (Hikari would have worsened anyway) they show you Taichi's parents weren't coming home early, which means that Taichi saved his sisters life by having her tag along with him.
If he'd gone to play on his own, no one would have noticed her sorry stage until it was too late.
The second Japanese ending spoiled all the remaining Perfects, Metalgarurumon, Wargreymon, Gatomon/Tailmon being the 8th Digimon, and Hikari being the last kid to join.
Most of this stuff didn't even come into play until 6-7 episodes.
It'd be neat if that got tied into Taichi's self doubt thing. His mother acknowledging that Taichi taking that risk might have saved Hikari's life.
Would be the kind of thing that'd make him think
The only reason he actually went out was because he didn't want his sister to stay cooped up in the house all day. He had good intentions, but those good intentions were the reason her condition worsened in the first place.
>Gennai tell the kids about the very first chosen children
>there were 5 with unknown digimon
>they treat Taichi and Co. as the only chosen children (and possibly the first)
Did the ones before them die? was fighting Apocalymon the last boss of a JRPG, is that why the first chosen are never mention because they died and failed to destroy it?
Why the fuck nobody talks about that, what is the mystery behind it? Why Gennai brought it?
>>they treat Taichi and Co. as the only chosen children (and possibly the first)
No he didn't. He never specifically said they're the first, he just treated them with extra care so that they won't end up dead.
Why is she so cute?
>Consensual adult incest is also not a crime in Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Russia, China, Japan, South Korea, Turkey, Côte d’Ivoire, Brazil, Argentina and several other Latin American countries
It's frowned upon yes, but not illegal
Well that's fine.
You're implying they'd ever leave each other.
It's kind of bittersweet. Because of his guilt from that incident when they were little, he fears that she'll hate him, so he dotes and protects her. While all she sees is a caring and loving brother, oblivious of his anguish.
Angemon is strong against inherently darkness-aligned Digimon. Against anything else, they'd be average. To put it another way, if Angemon tried to fight Andromon, it'd probably lose, since there's nothing dark about it.
Besides, Angel Digimon tend to have decreased returns as they evolve.
>The strongest light-aligned Digimon is a Bodhisattva
>Below that are Holy Knights
Angels don't really carry much weight, do they? Despite the fact that being "holy beings" is literally all they have going to them, they're lower on the ladder than Buddhas and knights, and they even have a double-edged sword-like weakness to darkness. Holy Knights can basically do anything an angel can do and have none of their weaknesses. To make matters worse, fallen angels tend to be among the strongest of darkness-aligned Digimon, so really, their presence only makes their opposition stronger.
"the original digidestined"
from what I've been told it was handled just as badly in the original version of the show before the dub.
I'm not shipping Kou/Mimi, but I swear whether it's Koushiro or Jou, any of these Best Boys will make perfect M for Mimi.
such a nice movie totally lived for the hype
literally 4 episode of filler and you cant really see the huge amount of money they spent on the movie, shit is full of quality
doesn't suprise me, not even with one of their classics toei does a good job
I doubt that. Seraphimon is the strongest of the non-fallen Angel Digimon (though Mastemon may have possibly surpassed it). None of the non-fallen angels are a match for a Royal Knight.
I'm sorry, thread. I don't know who this 'Royal Knights' thing is. I didn't remember them at all on Adventures or 02, which is all that I thought is relevant for Tri.
Like, I know they're like the 'strongest protector' of 'Yggdrasil' or something, but what's their relevance to the lore Adventure+02 sets and tri will explore? Omegamon and Magnamon are members, yeah, but has any of the Chosen Children from Adventures and 02 mentioned this?
X-Antibody does that automatically equate to superior strength. ClavisAngemon is only a Virtue.
There are several tiers of angels in Christian writings. You can look it up on Wikipedia if you want, but basically, Seraphim, Cherubim and Ophanim form the highest ranks of the angel hierarchy, with Seraphim being of the highest class. After that comes Dominion, Virtue and Powers. ClavisAngemon (Virtue), alongside SlashAngemon (Power) are an entire tier below Seraphimon.
The Three Great Angels are the highest in the Digital World Angel hierarchy.
We don't know.
We don't know if tri. will end with the 02 epilogue. What we know is that the "themes" of the epilogue will be in tri. Does that mean "Other than very few, the Digidestined marries someone outside their group"? Is it "Everyone got incredibly successful and/or happy in the future"? Is it "Everyone got a digimon partner"? Which theme is it?
"It's shit in the end" theme?
In the lord of the Digital World, the thirteen Royal Knights are the highest order of network protection and the closest to the Digital World's "god", Yggdrasil.
That said, there's actually no guarantee that the Royal Knights will serve a role in tri. Just because a member of the Royal Knights exists doesn't mean the group itself does. The Royal Knights clearly don't exist in Tamers, for instance, despite the existence of Dukemon. They also don't exist in Xros Wars.
I mean, the closest thing to a 'running lore' in Adventure and 02 would be the 'Digimon Sovereigns', right? Azulongmon and the other three? What's the connection between Royal Knights and the Sovereigns?
>implying the angel names mean anything
From what I've seen all his cards are stronger than seraphimon, and in the DS game seraphimon is a mini-boss, clavis shares the same status as alphamon as being unobtainable and is the one alphamon teams up with to fight the final boss
Taichi is such a bitch in this movie, almost dropped it because of much of a bitch he was acting.
Holy fuck how do you think that doing nothing and let the monsters destroy everything is better than killing them with less casualities?
What a fucking retard.
There are a number of beings that can be considered to be the "god" of the Digital World.
There's Yggdrasil, the host computer of the Digital World and the most straightforward of the "gods". Under Yggdrasil are the thirteen Royal Knights, considered to be guardian deities themselves and exist as the highest form of security in the net.
There's the "God" served by the Angel Digimon headed by Seraphimon, who exists within the Kernel of the Digital World.
There's Huanglongmon, who exists at the core of the Digital World, derived from which are the Four Holy Beasts, which you know as the "Sovereigns".
There's Homeros, the host computer of the Illiad Digital World, similar to Yggdrassil. This god is served by the Olympos XII, twelve God Man Digimon who fulfill a role similar to the Royal Knights.
There's ENIAC, the first computer and, in a sense, might be considered to be the god of all networks. All Digital Worlds appear to be derived from this original computer.
And finally, there's Homeostasis.
It's treated "a lot better" in literally one instance. I'd like to point out that in the DS games, there are no Royal Knights, no kernel, no "god", no Three Great Angels, no nothing. You literally have an Infermon guarding your front door in Dusk, and there's a Susanoomon standing around doing fucking piss-all in a tourney lobby.
And do those Gods relate to each other? Is the Kernel "God" lives on and the "Center" Huanglongmon the same place? Is Homeostasis part of ENIAC?
Also I can't find information on this 'Homeros' thing.
It's kinda hard to figure out what's going on.
See, there are multiple Digital Worlds. Some of those things exist in some of those Digital Worlds, others don't. The Royal Knights and Olympos XII, for instance, are mutually exclusive because they literally serve separate host computers.
In Digimon Adventure, Yggdrasil doesn't exist.
In Digimon Tamers, the Digital World is ruled by the Four Holy Beasts and nothing else exists. Considering the origins of that particular Digital World, Yggdrassil, "God", Homeros and even ENIAC are completely irrelevant. That Digital World wasn't derived from ABC. It was created by a bunch of college students.
Usually, Yggdrasil is the "go-to" god in Digimon titles and merchandise. It's the main one, the one that's most likely to be relevant in any particular setting. But it's not at all relevant to tri.
I wonder why there's not like a bajillion 'versions' of Pikachu. I mean, there's Pichu, Plusle and Minus, but nothing else. Like, where Pikachu with a sword, Pikachu with TWO swords, Pikachu with TWO SAMURAI SWORDS, Pikachu as a bancho, Pikachu in armor, Pikachu in armor with a huge blade, Pikachu half-covered in metal, Pikachu in black armor, Pikachu with an armor that had rocket wings on the back, PIkachu with claws, Pikachu riding a grey dinosaur, Pikachu's skull coming to life, or Pikachu in armor that's different from the armor a Pikachu had previously?
I mean, where's my Pikachu-only Generation?
Teaming up with someone doesn't equate to equality.
In fact, despite there being a boss fight in Cyber Sleuth where Magnamon teams up with Rapidmon, Magnamon is kinda way better in every way in that game.
