>brothers don't bother to pay for his ransom
>constantly shit on by girls
>gets "killed" in the Calming Detective segment
>repeatedly punched by Totoko for no real reason
Do the writers hate Karamatsu?
Because it's funny. Here, have some pears.
>Karamatsu orders properly during the totty episode
>Gets knocked out by Totty
>Karamatsu tells Totoko the truth that she should drop the fish thing
>Gets punched out by Totoko
>Juicy for Jyuuchimatsu
>Totty for Todomatsu
>Kusomatsu/shitmatsu for Karamatsu
>Am I missing any?
Totty calls Ichi Darkmatsu in episode 6.
Because it's fun character writing.
He appeals both to people who root for the underdog, and people who like to see the buttmonkey get shit on.
What side do you fall on? are you a Karamatsu girl?
He is the local scapegoat.
Of all the brothers he is the least likely to retaliate, he is too good and that's why others can shit on him without consequences.
Also, posers are annoying.
>I don't understand how they like her.
She's honest and super cute. Moe of the Season.
He seemed worried while on the phone, he just couldn't fully understand what he was being told. Then the pears got to him, you don't say no to pears, man.
Individual personalities and quirks are mostly put on-hold for all the brothers when they're in asshole hivemind mode. Like Choromatsu not hesitating at getting back at Totty in a ridiculous way.
>Iyami's entire existence seems to be him getting shit on
>no one seems to care
This. The only true asshole of the bunch is Osomatsu. That's why you can't compete with Bestmatsu.
Osomatsu is an asshole, but in a sort of unaware way. If anyone's a low key sociopath, it's Totty.
He acts like that guy who pokes fun of you but in a non-mean way its sort of endearing. Totty is the exact opposite of him since he is a two faced piece of shit.
You mean 05.
>a sort of unaware way
It's a big brother thing. The eldest the dickest.
>If anyone's a low key sociopath, it's Totty.
I disagree. There are three big contenders to this category: Oso, Todo and Choro. All of them did their lawyer bit during the dependant interviews, Totty was only the most efficient manipulator. Oso and Choro played the exact same game.
Dull edge is dull.
So we are later gonna get a reason why all the brothers are not pursuing more education, or at least getting a job. I am curious about Choro's reason out of all of them since he seems the most concerned about it.
I don't want to see the pure in pain
I think he really doesn't mean it he just likes to act edgy. The only one I think he meant was Shittymatsu due to insulting their beloved Totoko.
I wasn't ignoring that, but seeing how that was clearly an appeal to violence, I honestly feel that puts Ichi on a league of his own.
Haven't seen everything available yet no. Which series is that?
Entrance exams are tough and we don't know how well they did in high school.
Might also not have enough money and that's what the job hunting is for, but it seems like whenever they do earn/find some money they blow it all on gambling, alcohol, or other things. They're all kind of fucked up, Choro's just the one most aware of their habits.
That's a pretty good reason and knowing Choro he spends shit ton of it on his idol stuff even if you don't include the amount of food and drinking the spend on. Jyushi probably did really well in school but probably didn't pursue his doctor career for a while.
Its like 10 pages this one just shows choro since his is the only one I don't really understand.
In the original? No.
The recent series they have their own colours and personalities, it shouldn't take long to get used to them.
>average Matsu score is 61,(6)
I see what you did there.
If for some reason they were split up and forced to make a life for themselves, how do you think each would fair?
Who would take it the hardest?
Choro wants to say something to his mother but she interrupts him and say with a "Choro voice":
>Mom, I won big time on pachinko and wanted to know if you could hide the money from my brothers...kind of... let's let it as that.
>That was what you were going to say right...
>Are you an ESPer?
>That's because you are trash too, so don't worry.
>That's not comforting me at all.
I'm making my way through Showamatsu too so yeah I'm gonna see it sooner or later then.
Osomatsu and Ichimatsu would probably have the hardest times, Choro and Totty would probably be the best off, but I think all of them would miss being together in a way, even if they hate eachother sometimes.
Osomatsu easily since he is the oldest and without his brothers he kind of hasn't got much to go off of. The second episode should have shown how much he needs someone to hang out with to feel good about himself. Ichi would be second but I think he just going through a rough time in his life.
>She calls him garbage and he cries
wow, that's rude
Thanks for translation but god damn that's a horrible thing for the mother to say.
>Ichi would be second but I think he just going through a rough time in his life.
I see a lot of bullied Jyuuchi comics but I don't see many past Ichi ones.
Why did he became like that? What the hell happen to brake him so much that didn't happen to his brothers? It really bugs me.
>The second episode should have shown how much he needs someone to hang out with to feel good about himself.
Oso's self-esteem is through the roof he just gets lonely.
Since it's pretty character-driven show, try to remember them. Just remember them by their color first if it's difficult.
From oldest to youngest :
Red = Oso = mischievous leader, looks easygoing
Blue = Kara = trying to act cool >B-)
Green = Choro = the most responsible one, idolfag :-<
Purple = Ichi = Dark & gloomy loner, cat guy, bored face
Yellow = Jyuushi = Hyperactive kid, smiling wide everytime :D
Pink = Todo = Fashionable guy :3
It shouldn't be that difficult by the 3rd or 4th episode.
It isn't always genetics, it could be a lot of things. Could just be that he was more socially awkward than them as they grew up, started secluding himself more, and got depression. At least, that's how I understand things so far, going off episode 5.
>Ichi takes in stray cat because it's hard for him to make friends
>Cat accidentally gets killed
>He feels responsible
>Doesn't want to call himself any cat's owner now because he wouldn't be able to handle when they die
He trusted its taste in matsu and then it took pats from shitmatsu.
Maybe naught fits more here. He is like a 6th grade cheeky kid who innocently likes to play pranks for fun around
Goddamn Totty is supremely punchable.
You can change the lyrics to The Beach Boy's "California Girls" to Karamatsu Girls with no penalties.
Is this Juicy?
I going to pretend it's Juicy.
Why does Ichimatsu hate Karamatsu? Everyone else is just an asshole to each other, with Kara almost always being everyone's favorite target for bullying, but no one besides Ichi seem to have legitimate hatred towards one of his brothers, not even Totty.
He seems to hate the guy almost as much as he hates himself.
I saw a comic about this on pixiv litte ago.
It said that, since Kara is all confident and he really buys his "cool" act he's everything Ichi would like to be, so he hates him for that. But I really believe they're just tsun feelings, taking into account they sleep next to each other.
Its been stated that Ichimatsu hates Kara because pretends to be something he is not. Also Kara says shit to him that actually strikes a nerve when he says he believes in him since he hates disappointing others.
I don't think anyone would want to envy Kara.
Its was in one of the previous threads talking about each brothers personality and some extra info. I remember one of the anons translated it. I will try posting if I come across it again.
Ichimatsu I would like more but I feel like he would be a really disgusting person in general.
Kara shows support for Ichi
He encourages him and believes in him.
This being something Ichi hates because he does not want that added pressure.
Kara constatly pokes at one of his biggest insecurities.
Ichimatsu is a bitch. All Kara does is being a good, cool brother and he gets hate from Ichimatsu because he can't handle the positiviness?
We know what Ichimatsu does or says is not a reflect of his true self, since he's really insecure and longs for friends, but the fuck won't get any if he keeps being such a douche.
Seriously, fuck Ichi. Worst brother.
Why the fuck do they sleep next to each other if ichimatsu hates karamatsu so much? Why can't best Matsu sleep next to jyushimatsu and be happy? Why does Karamatsu have to suffer like this?
Implying Ichimatsu isn't annoying himself with his ducking tsundere behaviour that just consumes everyone's the.
At least Karamatsu tries to solve his problems of having no friends by himself.
Even if Kara is annoying he seems to be pretty chill at night so he wouldn't really wake anyone. Choro has it worse since Oso kicks in his sleeps and Jyushi tosses around as well.
I bet they cut the tip out of Shaft too.
tfw those shifty Jews won't allow Choro to have an outburst of despair
I don't have the image but I've got the text.
The sharp-tounged and cynical Ichimatsu finds Karamatsu the most annoying brother of the bunch. Karamatsu acst cool, but he sometimes gets fired up with emotion, and still holds some chuuni tendencies even as an adult. He's a bit on the rebellious side. Ichimatsu thinks of him as "a poser that's annoying to deal with", and treats him with a wry attitude.
Phallic matsu trinkets, just what I wanted.
Shouldn't he hate everyone then?
Oso is a literal meddlesome chunni.
Choro is the responsable one who really is just a huge Otaku.
Jyushi is genki all the time and forced ichi to do something he didn't want to be a part of.
Todo takes the whole "pretending to be something you're not" to another level man.
Why Kara? Why best boy?
Osomatsu fucking up murder investigations for the sake of the ~calm atmosphere ~ wasn't funny? Literally enormous bitch mecha Totoko laying waste to the city wasn't funny? Karamatsu's endless pain in general wasn't funny???
Its not new for a series to change the characters personality to get a stupid storyline go. In the '88 Osomatsu we had Dekapan from god to a gangster, and Iyami and Chibita did change their morale depending on what they were representing.
>something's not funny because they switched up the straightman roles for once
I didn't really like the Totoko-chan segment but that's probably the dumbest reason to hate the Calming Detective segment.
It's not like they didn't have characters act out of character before for the sake of the comedy, and in that particular skit everyone was acting in a role.
I lost it during at the "they mistake me for tuna" bit. And the fishtress bit. And Karamatsu singing "don't cry" bit. I don't usually get it, but Iyami's "SHEEEH!"s really hit the spot this episode.
Totty skit still the best, but this Totoko one isn't bad either.
The best thing the japanese do is when they draw the matsus all ready to make someone pay.
I'm not the original requester, but cool stuff!
I feel a bit out of place in these threads to be honest.
I love watching the sextuplets just being dicks to each other and everyone else, especially when they go hivemind. Like the Halloween segment from episode 3.
I know that one's not popular, but it had my sides in orbit.
I also liked the Halloween segment lots, poor Iyami did never see it coming. Now he'll never have a house again. But I also like to see them being stupid but also different as what they appear to be. There are little episodes that I don't really pass, like Dekapan-man.
I would've loathed the Dekapan skits if not for Oso's line at the last one.
"You're really not getting this."
Still the worst segment so far, but that one line at least got a smile from me.
Great taste, my friend
Why even get up anymore
Agree, crazy matsus wrecking shit are best matsus
Because he's objectively the best. The writers hate the fact, that they will never be as cool as him.
>Kara sleeps almost naked
What a slut.
What the hell is juicy supposed to be wearing? Chicken dinosaur suit?
I know right
Theory: since Choro skit was supposed to air before TOTTY skit maybe something happens that becomes the reason Choro joins asshole hivemind and throws coffee on Todo after finding out he lied about being a Keio student
