>There will never be another /a/-wide hype like it was during Code Geass/ToraDora/Madoka/Endless 8
CG wasn't really big at all, hardly anyone even talked about it. It wasn't until CG:R2 that it got big because Koda and friends kept spamming it on top of how ridiculous the show had become. But R2 spam lasted for like a year.
>mfw i still haven't got this far because character design is so fucking bad
>tfw they stopped making Haruhi for no raisin and there will never be another season and the novels aren't being written anymore because the writer doesn't feel like it.
I wake up screaming sometimes, /a/.
Nobody even heard about that manga, most people wouldn't care and it would never be mainstream, would be trashed for being moeshit or something. It would probably get a sticky, but the sticky would be 50% people who never heard about it shitposting about how a literally who / moetrash manga gets a sticky.
For /a/ to get hype, it should probably have some action so even the manime fans can enjoy it, they make up a pretty significant portion of the board.
Azumanga culture is dead, we live in different times. If it happened 5 years ago, it'd be a pretty big deal, but internet culture changes.
I am not retarded.
New, well, I've been on this site for years, but I pretty much only browse /a/ during christmas and summer, when I got time to watch anime, so I do miss out on some cultural changes and aspects of /a/ specifically.
>it's winter already
That explains a lot of people trying to fit in lately.
I think Yotsuba getting an anime would make /a/ explode but it wouldn't be big enough to make it to mainstream social media.
this is the only cap I have of klk hype
I thought it was a lot of leechers at the time
Toradoraposting was a shallow attempt at replicating Geass, with people desperately searching for the next "big thing".
Geass and Madoka were indeed huge on /a/, also KLK although you can argue that it was mostly crossposters from Tumblr or other shitty boards.
Have faith, anon. I refuse to die before I can see snow mountain animated.
Fuck, who am I fooling?
>There will never be a 4.44
>there will never be another Haruhi
>There will never be a worthy Beserk adaptation
>everything will all be just monogatari level kawaii-harem-ugu shit
It sounds fun at first, but then the threads move way too fast for any meaningful discussion to happen, not to mention at least a half dozen threads in the catalog at all times. /a/ is way too big now.
Everybody starts using reaction images from the show on every board. The audience grows exponentially.
Then the show ends and the fanbase goes the way of /vg/. Sometimes it gets to the point you can't even admit you ever liked the show or see a reaction image from the show without cringing.
Code Geass ending left a void in /a/. We latched on to the most convenient thing at the time. People hoping for something that would meet the expectations of what just ended, and when it (obviously) didn't hold up there was a lot of anger and trolling. Xam'd aired at the same time, so I'm not sure why the geassfags passed that up in favor of a romcom. The mob works in mysterious ways.
>didn't include JJBA 2012 on that list
Shame it brought so many cancerous secondaries and meme loving fucks to the fanbase.
Oregairu had one of the most obnoxious following for a while.
Too many people making philosophies on events of each story. They were writing entire essays.
What the fuck is up with romance that does that to people?
