>took an awful manga
>made one of the best anime ever with it
Guess which title.
OP here. Didn't know it was a common opinion, I just made a cheeky post out of disappointment after reading the "after story" chapters. Shit isn't even worth an OVA, and the end is just the worst thing ever.
It wasn't terrible, it was just a mediocre, generic 4koma comedy, pretty much all the emotional impact and what little character development there was, was anime-original
Also, college is the same mediocre shit, but it's vastly improved by not having Azusa in it.
The adaption was novel based, not from the manga adaption.
I like the idea either way of taking an awful or mediocre source material that has potential and actually making it something interesting.
I honestly think Nodame Cantabile is grossly overrated on /a/. It wasn't bad, genuinely entertaining, but the author tended to derail from the main story for side characters and it takes a few rereads to be satisfied with the ending. Also the Europe half wasn't nearly as fun as Japan.
The first volume is pretty boring, two through four are decent generic 4-koma, College is kind of bad, High School is surprisingly good but still nothing special.
It just looks bad in comparison because the anime was godlike.
I refuse to read Nichijou because apparently Hakase grows up and that upsets me.
Hakase is a lame character anyways. Literally ruins every scene that she is in.
>not a manga
Still superior to other shows out right now.
>worst idol Anime
Except that it has some of the best girls out of any Idol Anime.
It's okay. The timeskip was only a one chapter thing.
>You will never know why Yukko had to leave Japan
-better music and songs
-better horiographed dances
-better and deeper characters
-better glorious director
LL is simply a Mai Hime replacement for studio 8 fags wanting cute girls, shit as Idol show - its more in K-On segment.
[email protected] is video game garbage in general.
>Was the K-On manga really awful?
No. In many respects it was better than the adaptation. The OST is really the only thing which Kyoto Animation did which surpassed the manga.
To be honest I think most if not all of the people who didn't like the manga either didn't read it or read it scanlated.
>nothing more than a middling Azumanga Daioh clone
How on earth did you reach that conclusion?
