ITT anime that doesn't exist but should
a realistic, character-driven seinen following a young man from his transition from living a modest life to fighting on the aggressor's side of an unjust war of expansion. anjime would be 13 episodes, the first three would set the stage, and the remaining 10 would follow a timeline of a three day battle in an unspecified third-world country in africa. his unit is gradually killed and in the culminating episode he commits a war atrocity, fade to black in interrogation room in handcuffs
I thought this was an anime already
Time-Traveling Battle Maids from Outer Space Versus Nazis
I like it when there's less dialogue with more of a focus on surroundings/setting and mood-setting. I think a well made Souls anime would be moving but hard to pull off.
I would love a Metro animu, but there aren't many post-apoc animus out there. I wonder how they would handle something so drastically different from anime like this or STALKER.
One thing I dislike from most anime is how everything is so dialogue or monologue driven.
>a realistic, character-driven seinen following a young man from his transition from living a modest life to fighting on the aggressor's side of an unjust war of expansion
I'm sure there's some mecha anime like this
But imagine if they didn't make the Nazis mindless fucks. Imagine if they made them also Time-Traveling Battle Nazis from Outer Space.
Imagine a climactic standoff between busty meidos wielding oversized six-shooters and
katanasversus Luger-wielding, laser-MG42-hip-firing cyborg SS officers in power armour.
Why hasn't it already been made yet?
Why is no one funding this
>there aren't many post-apoc animus out there
Actually there are quite a lot, but they all suck at building a good post-apocalyptic atmosphere.
Something about STALKER would be nice too, but I can't imagine a functioning plot in these kind of worlds that would fit into an anime style.
Alternatively, for the moeshit audience.
They could probably do some Fallout stuff with the Brotherhood of Steel or even Enclave. Nips love their power armour.
That said, it's hard enough to get the nips to make the setting outside of Japan.
Hence why it shouldn't be too hard to make something that was Jap-inspired. I think Pacific Rim has a well established setting and lore enough to be adapted into things like this.
Some kind of murder mystery about an isolated island.
But then a metaphorical upper world opens up and the murdered characters argue and debate about who the killer is.
And then they have crazy magic sword battles where the swords are metaphors for arguments and theories. And people only die when you prove they're dead.
And then let's open up more meta layers on top of that.
>Nips love their power armour
I loved so much that armor from Jin-Roh.
This armor in a post-apocalyptic or nazi world would be badass.
A boy falls in love with a girl.
Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.
Are you talking about that episode when they do that school play?
Economic models are normal high school girls. This is their every day life.
Middle Earth during the 1st age where shit was real.
yeah but it's mecha, and most of it is pretty poorly done or straight up shounen. i want to see an anime about some dude in over his head in the trenches that deals with the darker aspects of war
in a convincing, matureway
I like to see how this is handled. I would hope they picked a voice actor more like the one used in the original game, the second always seemed a little angry. Unfortunately I cans see a lot of the mutants being CGI.
>MCs are a brother(18) who works on the family farm and the sister(24) who works in an office
>They haven’t talked in years as the brother is busy managing the family farm after their parents died and she is busy with her office job
>she get in a car accident breaking her leg and is told to take time off in the country by her doctor
>with only one place to go the doctor rings the brother and informs him of the situation
>a colleague drops her off at the farm
>her brother is out and she falls asleep on the sofa
>she wakes up in her room with her things unpacked
>coming through to the kitchen she finds her brother cooking food
>he awkwardly declares "I'll look after you for a little while"
>a week passes with a strained atmosphere as neither know how to act around the other
>one night she is woken up by a noise, looking out the window she sees her brother doing farm work and realizes just how much time he has spent looking after her
>she decides to help out all she can round the house to make up for it.
>over the week they grow closer and closer and they begin to depend on each other
>with the time coming for her to return to work they both realizes the nature of their feelings towards the other but fear rejection
>she wakes up on the day she is due back finding the brother is already out working and left a note saying he will miss her
>on the way out she knocks a book off the table, it’s her brothers diary
>the last few pages say state how he feels about her and wishes she could stay
>the brother comes home to find the diary in the entrance to the living room
>puzzled he picks it up and reads the last line on page it is open on
> -I really wish she could have stayed
>she embraces him from behind
>she whispers "then look after me for little while" and kisses him on the cheek
>Final fight between Earandil and his god boat leading an army of eagles against Ancalagon the Black and his army of dragons.
Sounds like anime material.
I don't think anyone made this scene in any media yet because they're afraid of fucking up something this massive.
Where is the part where the brother has debt collectors coming for him, and the lets them gangrape her to pay off the debt
but then they come back the next day and ask for the debt money anyways
Can you not just appreciate pure love without trying to taint it with your disgusting NTR fetishes?
Sadly video game adaptions are pretty much bound to suck so I guess I wouldn't actually want that.
Voynich Hotel by everyone who was involved with Panty & Stocking. it'd be nice.
An anime about cute characters screwing each other over for money and fame.
I guess I see what you mean. It's not for everyone. But that anon made it seem like every male character has to be the stoic cool badass, for me it's refreshing to have a protag every once in a while that has their own realistic worries and emotions instead of having nothing faze them ever.
who is saying anything about how a character needs to be? what i am saying is that 50% of an anime shouldn't be melodramatic crying breakdown scenes
>it's not for everyone
sure, if by thaty ou mean "it's not for people who enjoy things other than watching an animated man cry for hours on end"
i don't think i've ever been as disappointed in something /a/ recommended as highly as kaiji
It would be too good so nobody would allow it. No other shows would be able to measure up so they would have to stop making cliche trash and actually put effort into new shows.
You sound like you'd like Fafner, which used to be s2 never for like a decade, although it did get a movie in there.
It's up their at the top of my favorites, a little higher than MJP actually.
Little more weight, and the action choreography is a little better if you can believe it.
Needs to be remade so that it actually follows the manga. 52 episodes and give it more than a shoestring budget this time so that we can get actual animation.

Except Romeo and Juliet is shit. Like, just godawful.
Nursey and Mercutio are the only characters with any personality. The title characters are boring lumps, worse than moeblobs.
now, if we were gonna talk Two Gentlemen of Verona we might have something.
Not even a gamer but man Bloodborne has an amazing plot
