Let's pray my new broswer not fucked up.
>entire chapter dedicated to Kuroumaru finding his resolve
>back to the status quo in one page
The only real reason Kuroumaru wasn't strong enough was because he/she hadn't gotten used to the new body yet, and was still in the middle of changing. Completing the change and adapting to it would probably bring him/her level back up, or even higher.
It's better than the female route being disallowed because Kuro would get weaker as a girl, but it's still status quo. Anyway, it's classic Ken so I guess there's nothing to get upset about.
You can argue about CR killing anime fansubs all you like but the scanlation scene is pretty shit, mate. For one hadena in anime subbing, there's at least 20 shit groups in manga translations.
Well at least we get more scans than we had before. Now if only they could stop with the shitty jpgs and sack that other typesetter (the one who's doing Nina and other series). And fucking close the gap of unscanlated chapters of Coppelion, it's been like ten years.
>All this crap was for nothing
Please just take us to the tourney already. We got our Kitty development, that's the only single thing everyone gave a fuck and wanted to see after Danta's training. Stop it with this half-assed pseudo filler that is going fucking nowhere.
And my original post said
>increasing the average quality of manga translations
CR manga means less series being done by shitty groups so yeah, no shit.
Again, stop comparing CR anime with CR manga. The situation is completely different.
CR manga quality is not even that high though and they prevent high quality groups from doing work just as much as lower quality groups. A series like UQ Holder would probably have a competent team so they're having a negative effect here.
>She just got it all wrong
>The only reason she was so weak was because she was still not used to her new body
>The answer is more training with her new body instead of reverting back to the old one
I've not read Negima and I'm the person you just quoted.
I could care less about what's her name human girl or the random loli who I think is granddaughter of this other girl from Negima. They both are meaningless padding, even the loli didn't get an actual dedicated chapter to her. And now after some supposed Kuromaru development it turns out it's just back to the status quo. We already saw what Touta was gonna do in regards of Kitty, which I'm sure is what most people were waiting to see the most after Dana training was over. If all we are gonna get is more padding and progress except not really then what the fuck ever.
Other than the image quality and minor choices (ou vs ō), CR and Redhawk were pretty comparable (though I still keep reading RH Nanatsu). And I'd take CR over any niggastream/IS/kissu-like scans. Honestly, I feel like CR manga hasn't been a bad thing, there are so many untranslated series, it just give us an even wider panel from which to choose.
Even though it meant no resolution and continued indecision I liked what this did to Kuromaru's character. He's the spiritual successor to Setsuna for sure.
Regardless of what gender he goes he'll keep Touta's ass in line.
>though I still keep reading RH Nanatsu
Hideyoshi is the trap and the reverse trap, the penis and the vagina while at the same time being neither of these. The line between genders end with Hideyoshi's breath alone. Calling such a beautiful being by a gender is against the natural rules of life.
A quick check of spoilers says that what Touta said in Japanese was 美人だったよなー. So a more direct translation would be along the lines of "she was beautiful". The translators probably went with "smoking hot" as "beautiful" doesn't fit well with Touta's casual attitude there (or in general).
On a related note, have any of you people actually looked at the translation credits on the Crunchyroll page for UQ Holder? The listed translators are Alethea and Athena Nibley, the same pair that translated the later Negima volumes, and did the retranslation of the earlier volumes for the omnibus release.
It's like that for at least a few other series as well. "Crunchyroll's" translators for UQ Holder aren't their at all. They're Kodansha USA's translators. The translation you see on Crunchyroll is essentially the same as the translation you'd get if you purchased the official US release. The differences would mainly be the occasional error correction, or translation improved by information from later chapters.
I wouldn't. I'd enjoy it greatly if Eva loses again and cements herself as the unluckiest woman in existence.
Also the salt mines would be great for the popcorn but that's more an Eva fanbase thing rather than the character herself.
This is one of those rare few situations where I think a poly resolution would be a good one.
Note I said poly, not harem. Instead of the Tenchi end where everything revolves around Touta's dick you go with a small group of immortals in a committed poly relationship who trade off partners often enough to keep things from getting stale. Like, Touta and Eva are exclusive for a decade, and then it's the two of them plus Karin for a decade, and then Touta partners up with Kuro for a decade, etc.
I'd be pretty alright with Touta/Kuro considering Eva seems fairly happy as a mother figure, and unlike with her Negima friends, Touta/Kuro are actually immortal so she wouldn't have to just deal with her family growing old and dying.
Pretty bullshit considering his/her boddy was too begin with more feminine than masculine.
Basically anyone originaly thought it was a girl because of the body.
There was not much of change at all, those were simply excuses.
Nope. They work under Fate, Arms even calls himself Ala Alba. Which makes me wonder why they even attacked Touta in the first place if Fate is working with Eva at the moment. We got too caught up talking about Kuro's gender; what even was this attack? Who's "the boss"? >>133943339
Chao admittedly might have another affiliation (he mentions it when he attacks Kirie and Touta), but that doesn't explain why the other guy is with him if he's a part of Ala Alba.
But that's my point, why would Fate be telling them to round up Touta? He currently has a truce with Eva after the incident with Negi's tournament application.
Though in the same page that other guy doesn't understand why Chao attacked, so maybe they weren't supposed to approach Touta to begin with, but Chao's a lunatic so he did anyway (giving us the convenient narrative for Kuroumaru's resolve).
I think its hard to really see Kuro's decision on it one way or the other. In that scene where Kuro at least figuratively gives up the traditional expectations of womanhood there is a good argument to be made that they intend to give it up physically as well. However, Kuro DOES say "Male or female makes no difference" in the end. We really don't know if there's been a true physique change or either or just willpower bs. The guy says he sees a boy, but that could be more of an interpretation based on Kuro's changed attire and aggressive actions.
Not gonna lie though, if its really just entirely a reversal of the last while or so with Kuro's character, and I definitely agree it could be, I'm going to be annoyed.
>We really don't know if there's been a true physique change or either or just willpower bs. The guy says he sees a boy, but
Actually, his body really does physically change. Look here >>133943705 you can see her breast in the bottom panel.
But now he has a masculine chest here >>133943923
kek. Don't you know it's a Negima sequel? I believe plenty of readers started this for this very reason, and it's advised to read it before UQH. Time shenanigans are not what make him likable? It's a bit late to say that there are too rm-any references only because you dislike a pairing.
You should read Negima, it starts as pretty mediocre harem manga,
but in the last half it becomes a pretty entertaining battle shounen, and it will give you the information you need to fully appreciate UQ.
It's pretty light hearted, and there's pretty much 0 tension, save a few sporadic cases.
I think it's a good read, and if you don't expect much, you could end up reading it with a smile.
Shame for the ending, which sucked, I hope UQ will give something like a flashback on what happened, but who knows.
Time will bring answers, for now let's wait.
