Why is such unfair fight allowed?
She is like 50% bigger
>nearly 2 feet difference
The tall girl would have to be purely bones and skins or the short dyke would have to be a very thick dyke.
The screenshot however doesn't show either to be the case.
> I just realized teppu is over
Same weight, just taller
Anime potrayals of weight are fairly shit anyways after you learn how people actually look with varying body mass
Ippo for example has him fighting people that look leaps and bounds bigger and even Ippo himself look huge at times but he supposedly weighs 135
Can we skip the discussion and get to the posting cute tomboys part
2D females can be extremely painful to deal with
>I'm so insecure in my own masculinity that I have to bitch and moan about it when I see women who are stronger than me
Castrate yourself, you don't deserve to breed.
You know, assuming they are nearly the same weight, the shorter fighter should have the advantage. Being a taller fighter means you usually work when people are far away from you, and shorter means you usually work close. In this case, with no pounds to the head, the taller fighter is going to have a harder time keeping the shorter fighter off them, where as the shorter fighter can easily sneak in and practice the short hand punches they usually practice.
In short, reach isn't always better. It's more a test of skill to see if you really know how to dodge and block properly at this point.
Big body keks senpai
Semy Schilt that bitch's gas tank for days, that's literally her style anyway with the Katsunori Kikuno meme crescent kicks. It's on the shorter one to find a way inside.
It gets especially worse if she starts introducing stepping counter knees and sneaking round kicks up under the right every time it's thrown, a la current Donald Cerrone.
In terms of striking, a tallfag that knows how to work being a tallfag is very annoying.
I dropped this manga at the second page. She seemed like a shitty person with a shitty premise for her to beat up on people and generally act like a shit head.
Did I miss anything or is this just 50 volumes of her being a complete asshole?
Whatever it is. I don't want to read about an asshole MC doing asshole things. Does she change or have some kind of character development or is she the same?
"I hate little guys" and then 30 chapters later she is still "I hate little guys" or whatever seems fucking stupid.
all this salt damn nigga are you okay drink some milk wipe the dookie off your pinkie and read it some more before going episode 7 on just speculation
Sequel manga WHEN? I just want to see that little shit get knocked out by Natsuo
she goes full yuri, more or less. there aren't many decent men in her life.
Dude she seems like a piece of shit from the second page of the first volume. Nothing about how she is introduced makes me care or intrigued about her as a person. I would probably read this manga for the sole purpose of her getting the shit kicked out of her and her being taught humility.
Something like natural talent only gets you so far and how she has been acting has been pretty shitty. Have her go through an arc of some kind.
But if it's simply her starting as a piece of shit and continuing to act like a piece of shit... why the fuck would anyone read this garbage?
Nope. The story, start to finish, is about her trying to ruin the life of someone who had the gall to be happier than her and better than her at a sport.
What's wrong with that?
Since when are awful people the MC and STAY AWFUL as some sort of thing that someone would want to read? Fuck dude, if you enjoy this shit I don't know what to tell you. You have some self esteem problems or some fucking shit.
I bet you're not a Slayers fan, then.
it is pretty obvious this coversation is not gonna go anywhere if you can't change your perspective on the subject at hand or you are just trying to lvl up your bait game on a monday night
Everything. That makes it seem like this series has nothing redeemable about it and my decision to drop this at page 2 was correct.
Jesus fucking Christ... like why would anyone WANT to read about a shithead not learning anything and just continuing to act like a shithead?
That would be like reading the story about a bully at school but he never goes through some sort of arc or redemntion or something. Like he is forced to work with a kid he bullied and find common ground or SOMETHING.
Like... what the fuck are you supposed to do with this shit? Who can you fucking sympathize with?
Like I said, I would read this shit stain of a manga solely to see MC get her ass handed to her.
You aren't giving me any reason to change my perspective. What is the point of this series?
Why should I read it? Seriously. Because saying she is an asshole who does asshole things makes me thing NOBODY would want to read this.
So what is the appeal?
>Un-redeemable, unlikable MC.
It's about a sadist getting her ass beat by a masochist, basically. we learn plenty about her, which keeps things in perspective. with the pacing, he barely has time to set up the characters.
I assume this is the same person.
there's plenty redeeming her. she's in a pretty shit situation. read it if you want to disagree with me.
if you need me to give you a reason to change perspective then you are lost anon i can't help you anon have a good night
What am I just supposed to change my opinion in the absence of an argument? Like, what would compel me to change my opinion? What makes this a good series to you?
>someone needs a reason to change perspective
>anon is lost gg
What, do you think I am going to masturbate and reach a fucking epiphany upon orgasm about this goddamn series?
You sound like a child. Not everything needs a happy ending, not everything has to be about redemption. Sometimes, shit just happens, and that's a perfectly fine basis for fiction. Just look at the Cohen Brothers.
Their main characters are usually likable or
relatable if unchanging.
It's not about the situation their in, but the character (arc). My impression of this is that it's generally unpleasant, but not even in any appealing way.
I'm not the person you quoted.
Okay, okay. It isn't just about the MC getting her ass handed to her. It's about fleshing her character out. Because it's only 43 chapters.
spoiler because that's the best tool I have for convincing.
Cohen Brothers? That's your fucking Ace in the Hole? Fuck the Cohen Brothers. No Country for Old Men was certainly no Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction.
Because the MC is just straight fucking unlikable from the get go. Literally from the first two pages I couldn't stomach reading anything more about this shit head.
I would rather read about an underdog who has to take the haughty girl down then this fucking cunt.
>why would anyone WANT to read about a shithead not learning anything
Are you sure you wouldn't be better off having your mommy tell you bedtime stories? It doesn't seem like manga is for you.
I feel people like this truly don't understand a lot about: people, depression, or the feeling of being under-stimulated.
I think you totally missed her character and noting anyone tells you will change that. Something that probably happens thanks to being sheltered.
I honestly don't know if you read past page 2, but i somehow doubt it.
>liking movies by that foot-sniffing autist
Right, it's all that other stuff that you'd know if you'd actually read the book you're spending all this time complaining about.
At least get more than a fucking chapter in before you get autistic about it.
It really isn't these days. Don't pretend to be less casual than you are.
I want fucking character development. Someone I could self insert as. Someone I could relate or empathize with. I don't mind struggle. Plenty of manga has characters overcoming adversity and shitty situations. Akame ga Kill has the entire fucking cast die but it was a fucking awesome series. This is an unlikeable MC doing unlikable things and not going through ANY kind of arc. I can't find the appeal.
No.. it seems more like being a one-dimensional character. So she is damaged goods? So fucking what? Revy from Black Lagoon is damaged goods BUT SHE GOES THROUGH A GODDAMN ARC and appreciates Rock even though he represents everything she resents.
>called being a complex character
That's the lazy man's argument.
>hates Natsuo by the second page
>this is the second page
You wouldn't happen to be a manlet, would you?
Good point. It's not like I have to get up for work or anything. I'm just a goddamn NEET.
>Akame ga Kill
What the fuck is this shit taste
And you're trying to shit on Teppu?
She beats a man?? Pffhaha fuck I won't even pick this steaming pile of shit up. Now that is some fantastic delusion the nips and women have today.
I like it both as a spectacle and an analysis of the application of technique to create physical artistry all over another person's face.
Getting behind the techniques and strategies of it all is really, really interesting.
And it's fucking hype.
>I'm pointing out that this really shitty manga is better than a manga I literally know nothing about because I haven't read it
Do you want people to take you seriously or what?
I don't understand the appeal in watching people try to hurt each other for sport. Basketball I understand as a sport. No one is trying to break anyone's face. I'm not opposed to violence in fiction, but why would I want to see people hurt each other in real life? This isn't imperial fucking Rome.
Holy shit. Nobody has offered ANY compelling reason as to why this manga is good. This come up with
>damaged characters are complex
>too over your head
>babies first manga
>there doesn't need to be a good guy
>MC being shit is the reason to read this
>Cohen Brothers did it
Seriously, these are all weak ass answers from a bunch of jabronis. I can't even.
If a guy was training her even though she didn't want him to, and they both had to overcome their baggage or hang ups or whatever or there was some sort of conflict that would require the characters to grow as people, I would probably be on board.
I see you are a man of taste just like me.
I'm criticizing a manga because they gave me a shitty MC from the beginning. Why would I invest time to read this if I hate the MC from the beginning? And from what EVERYONE is saying, the MC STAYS A SHIT HEAD.
You all read it and you all are backing up my assumption that shitty characters is shitty.
Are you from /v/ or something? That's the only board I can think of where people routinely shit all over things they haven't actually played/read/whatever, so I assume the answer is yes.
You're criticizing a manga that you haven't even read because you're too dumb to do something productive with your time. Return to /v/ faggot.
I read the first couple of pages. Shitty character is shitty. I post her asking if MC changes, develops, ANYTHING redeeming about her at all.
>shitty character is shitty
Why would I read this when all of you fucking jabronis who read it are confirming my worst fears. So, I can safely ask why anyone would be into this in the first place?
Do you self insert as some pathetic person she puts down? Do the people who read Teppu have that low self esteem for themselves?
They like Teppu.
I think I figured it out. These people are all wanting to be dominated by this arrogant chick. They masturbate to the thought of this girl kicking them in the dick and spitting on them. It's the only thing I can think of as to why someone likes the MC.
Stop feeding the shitposter. He's literally just trying to start shit.
Of course it's not. These people are willingly participating in MMA out of love for the competitive aspect of martial arts. No slavery here, senpai.
As for not getting it as a sport, I guess it's just a case of different strokes for different folks. As a martial artist myself I love seeing what strategies and techniques are employed in a situation close to live combat, but with enough rules and regulations in place to keep it from getting TOO dangerous. There's still danger, but for many people that's part of the spectacle. Seeing someone lay it all on the line in front of thousands, if not millions. It's why fighters like Diego Sanchez are so beloved, not necessarily for good technique or amazing gameplanning, but for the sheer amount of tenacity the dude has.
Combat sports are always kind of niche, especially these days as even Boxing is on the decline. But there will always be people who are enamored by the idea of people of turning the violence of fistfighting into an art form with real, demonstrable efficacy. And there will always be like twice as many that just enjoy watching people throw down.
I just know I'm going to read this, invest my time to read 30 something chapters, and the MC is still going to be some super haughty arrogant piece of shit and then I'm going to feel like I wasted my goddamn time.
Which is why I prefer professional wrestling. It's a spectacle of competition, but no one is actively trying to hurt each other. The risk of major injury is probably greater than MMA, but at least the purpose of the event is not for the performers to kill each other.
That's the part I just cannot wrap my head around. Taking pleasure in people actually getting hurt, whether they agreed to it or not.
Your definition of shit is absolute garbage. It is literaly the most childish and stupid opinion I have read in all of the year.
This is for you
writing is not supposed to only work in arks. Characters do not need to be redeemed, they don't need to adhere to your standard of good for them to be good.
Natsuo goes through a lot of develoment in the short run of teppu. She starts of bored and miserable. and ends the siries happy and engaged.
The manga was never about fucking dealing with natsuo's nasty personality (at least not yet. This is probably something that will if the writer gets well.)
It was about overcoming boredom and the depression born from it. There is no doubt natsuo does that, and by all standars it makes it pretty good writing, and her character is so fleshed out and easy to relate for people who have dealt with that, that it also makes her a fucking amazing character. A character like that does not come often.
go read it or stop posting.
Basically you want me to read about a character who is bored because she is super awesome and about how she deals with her depression from being super awesome? Because that makes up for her bitchy attitude?
No. No I won't. And that doesn't meant I don't like complex plots or multifaceted characters. I don't want to read about goddamn bitches.
>easy to relate for people who have dealt with that
What is "that"? Being so good at everything that you are bored with life? Really? That's what makes her a compelling and relatable as a character? I can't buy into that shit.
>never about dealing with her nasty personality
So if the character is just really off putting and offensive, the fact that she isn't going through an arc or change in any meaningful way makes this actually a superior series?
.... Are you fucking kidding me? Seriously? That can't be your argument.
>characters don't need to be redeemed, they don't need to adhere to my standard of good for them to be good
Agreed. A story can still be compelling if the character has no redeeming qualities. But at that point, it's waiting for the schadenfreude to hap[pen... which is the ONLY reason I would watch this.
To see MC self destruct.
not that guy cus i actually like mma quite a bit. But there is lots to like about teppu asside from mma. I would actually say the mma bit couldbe replaced by almost any sport and i would still like it. Its the art and natsuo that gets me.
That certainly makes a compelling reason why I would waste my time reading about Natsuo the Bitch.
Under stimulation happens to a lot of people. Its one of the many reasons people get into bad shit with the law. Never heard that keeping your kids in some sort of a hobby that they enjoy is good for them?
It was great to see natsuo grow as a character and develop away from her depression. That was the point of teppu. you didn't read my post, and you sure as fuck need to read the manga if you are gonna claim any of the shit you claim.
look if you wont read it because you think natsuo is a bitch, then there you go. You are done with the conversation and nothing we say will fix that. Dont know why you stayed so long, but im sorry that your fear of woman has led you to feel so small that you cant even take on a fucking book.
>still paying attention to this idiot
Come on, man. You know he's being obtuse just to fuck with the thread.
Elbows have a high chance of opening cuts on the face, which tend to bleed profusely no matter how bad they actually are. This was actually one of the growing number of fights that they stopped due to them, however.
Typically it's cuts near the eye that cause the doctors to take a look, and since Carlos had basically obtained a fetish for them for the second half of that entire round after he landed a massive pair of them, Thiago Alves's face was basically mincemeat at that point. Crazy stuff.
But like I said, some people look at it differently. Some see the heart on Thiago's part to keep fighting through it even as he was leaking profusely and have a deep admiration and respect for that breed of determination.
Others saw the adjustment on Carlos's part from his notoriously unreliable punching technique that was leaving him stumped at the end of Thiago's boxing for one and a half rounds, to the shorter, harder, and considerably more forceful elbows that changed the tide in his favor, and his ruthless exploitation of the technique as soon as he recognized how well it was working.
Others still just love it for the "HOLY SHIT" factor of two guys swinging at eachother like absolute madmen, and one using a solid chunk of bone to lacerate someone's face and literally flatten his nose. Jesus fucking Christ.
And the craziest part of it all is that Lawler vs. MacDonald II at 189 was an even bloodier back-and-forth war. Imagine that, but with both people beating eachother up for the better part of 25 minutes.
It's a crazy fucking sport, and the fact that it's all real makes it even crazier. No storylines, no scripts, nothing to obfuscate the outcome. Just one man's skill, athleticism, training, and strategy against another's.
>No storylines, no scripts, nothing to obfuscate the outcome
>people honestly believe that Dana White isn't a Vince McMahon wannabe
>people honestly believe that UFC won't just be WWE lite in a few years
Sh-shut up Aldo will end the Conor hype train
You're comparing a bloodsport where people are enslaved and forced to fight against their will to a voluntary test of physical skill and strength.
If you don't like it, that's perfectly fine. Just don't compare it to ancient Rome or something ridiculous like that.
For some ungodly reason I don't have them saved. Have some Eyepoke McCoke, I guess.
I'm also low on Rogans.
Fuck, I need to work on this computer.
UFC is completely scripted, though. The manufactured bravado of it's characters, the corny press conferences, the twitter 'feuds' are all planned out to build interest in the fights.
And it's all based on pro wrestling. Boxing did it for years. Muhammad Ali said himself he based his act on Gorgeous George. "The more you talk, the more people will pay to see someone shut you up." That's the basics of professional athletics. Real violence may be a selling point, but without the story and character, you wouldn't sell nearly as many tickets.
Well when it's based heavily in realism, with a real sport as focus, you'd think they would adhere to the fact that women are at a very distinct physical disadvantage in comparison to men, and when you're that physically outclassed by somebody of even remotely similar skill level as you, you're not winning that fight easily by any means, if at all.
Well more is expected out of them, if you suck shit at something then people can either be right in their assumptions or you can presently surprised them. Not to mention you also feel pressure from yourself to never slip up. If you are at the top the only way to go is down.
>more is expected
Because they don't have to put effort into training, someone not talented has to spend considerably more time working on getting good at a single task than they do doing all the other tasks.
>b-but the only way to go is down
Or they can go up higher?
Compared to the guys who are at the bottom and can still go down, that's fucking nothing.
>Because they don't have to put effort into training
>the only way to go is down
Even at the higher level you still have to try, or you will get passed up
Leave it to /a/ to have a loser that whines about people who have trained almost all their lives have it easy
>spoken like a true talentless hack
You have no idea what perfect people like me go through.
>Even at the higher level you still have to try, or you will get passed up
But they don't have to try anywhere near as much as the guy who wasn't born with talent and is at the same level.
You're literally arguing it's harder for someone who's naturally good than someone who's naturally bad.
>Not being able to tell the difference between anime girl and boy
I haven't even been here that long, and even I can tell that's a dude.
The manga will try to fool you with the breasts, and the gender pronouns, but that's most definitely a dude on hormones.
It is funny though how tall girls who refuse to date shorter guys actually deep inside have a problem with themselves. It's not the guy, it's the girl being insecure about her height. That's all it is.
>Their main characters are usually likable or relatable if unchanging.
Not really. Read more books. There are lots of classic books where mcs are assholes. The important part is if the mc is depict as being right or not, which isn't the case with Teppu.
I'm 1.85 and this shit still pisses me off. I don't even care about the manlet being shat on, he deserves it, it just annoys me when tall girls think they're entitled to taller guys like me. Tall is an unattractive trait in women, whilst it's an attractive trait in men, why the fuck should I settle for a masculine tall girl when I could be dating a cute short girl? It should be her that's fucking settling for somebody.
Don't project, virgboi.
Tall girls are a niche for a reason, faggots. I don't care if you manlets personally find those subhumans attractive, the majority of people consider them unattractive and that's a fact.
Manlets are so obvious. Sorry you're so insecure about your height that you have to shit on the ideal women.
I'd say that'd be the most shallow, short and accurate way to describe the premise of Teppu perhaps, definitely not the series as a whole which goes a whole lot deeper than your average shounen. Teppu is actually a seinen and is very realistic unlike most shounen manga as well.
well it wouldn't hurt to add a few sentences more when selling it though, so I wouldn't agree with:
>If you had to pitch it so some newfag there's not really a better way.
but if you meant the best way to sell Teppu in a single short sentence, then yes I'd agree that something like the anon would be the best way to sell it, like "Teppu is a shounen told from the perspective of the rival"
However if I were to sell the show I would probably add this >>133923196 as well, as I think it more accurately describes the show, especially as a whole and not only the premise of it
ops I made a few mistakes, first of should have written "something like the anon before wrote would" instead of just:
>something like the anon would
>describes the show
series instead of "show"
