Osomatsu-san - 08
Totty was great in the first part.
Lost it when Ichi was murdered instead of being the murder
Iyami,Jyu and Kara were the best characters in this episode. I fucking love Iyami.
Then stop typing like a fag. I know what these threads are like but anon please.
Horray for Nya-chan's reappearance!
unfortunately just for a second though, I need more of her ;_;
> and fell of the roof
Ichi is so meany
Is translator anon here to translate this week's ED?
I was really hoping that she would give up and went for the porn route. At least gravure would've been nice.
Here you go Anon.
Who do you think I am? I'm Karamatsu!
Because my eyebrows are stern looking, right?
No matter what anyone says, I'm the second son.
I take no responsibilities, and I'm not independent at all!
I'll live with my parents until the end.
Well, the same six sets of clothes is not acceptable I guess?
Let's just enjoy the moment.
You must be so glad to meet me!
This encounter, it's a miracle!
We can't play games because we're male and female sextuplets?
Heh, I suppose we are the same cards.
However, look at the number of hearts.
Amongst the brothers of fate, the chosen one is...
The one you'll choose is me, right?
(Iyami solo part 1)
働かない我が人生、C'est la vie！
Not working is my life motto. C'est la vie！
(Iyami solo part 2)
I'm hoping they have the same personalities as these shitbags.
>Juushi in love episode
It is going to be full of feels and heart wrenching.
It as a
Maybe now we will know his fetish.
He has his bros, so he'll be alright
>mfw Iyami joins in on the fun and cums on everyone.
>mfw Chibita enters Totoko's asshole
Not good. Only Jyushi and Kara care about their brothers. I hope Ichi pays back what he owns.
At least Ichi looks concerned.
>She refuses him because
she's a Karamatsu girl.
>Only Jyushi and Kara care about their brothers.
I'm sure they all care about each other on some level. Even with family members who you fight with, there's always that "I love you but I don't like you" feeling. Osomatsu and Choromatsu mean well even if they suck at showing it, and even Ichi said he didn't need friends because he had his brothers. Totty is arguably the only one who really hates anyone.
I think this just won AOTS.
Here you go!
僕？ 松野家四男 松野一松
Me? I'm the Matsuno family's fourth son, Matsuno Ichimatsu.
You just felt a touch of anxiety, right?
(Note: Ichimatsu (written as 一松) uses the term 一抹. This term means "a touch of", and is also pronounced as "ichimatsu". Basically, Ichimatsu is making a pun based on his name.)
That's a good thing.
Not to mention, sextuplets...
Are you really okay with the same face six times?
Ah, we meet again.
You're pretending not to know me?
You don't remember a piece of trash like me?
This is probably the sixth time.
I just tagged along with the rest of my brothers...
I'm everyone, and we're me.
Right, we're sextuplets.
You're also sextuplets?
(Iyami solo part 1)
Could it be that you own a pet cat?
(Iyami solo part 2)
>Jyushimatsu in love episode
What the hell is coming next?
They've mentioned the female sextuplets in all of the endings though.
I actually wonder. Does Japan have a thing for having the joke explained for them? I feel like whenever there's a good joke presented in the show, someone comes along and says what just happened and it just kills the mood. This episode was no exception.
It's my favorite of the season in terms of enjoyment
It's the manzai roots of nipponese comedy. After Japan developed manzai some centuries ago, they decided that there was no need to go any further.
Seriously? I don't watch a lot of comedy anime but the ones I have seen all have some form of manzai, even if it's not obvious.
Nichijoueven has a whole about the straight man straight out saying she doesn't want to be the straight man.
Would you have done the same, /a/?
Name one comedy anime without a straightman-funnyman dynamic. I agree that some parts would be better without, though. 'Anime at one's own responsibility' wouldn't be as amusing if Choro or Totty was making comments at the end of every sentence.
The only anime I can think of that obliviously does that is Going Home Club. Every other show either tries their best to hide it or just doesn't do it.
That's what I mean. Osomatsu-san has obvious tsukkomi interaction, while other comedies have little.
To be fair, Nozaki-kun avoided this
Outbreak Company may work, they mostly showed the uneasiness using facial expresions.
Nozaki had it too, just sometimes straight-men were acting stupid there too. Manlet-sempai, Chiyo and Mikoshiba noticed and stated that their friends were acting stupid or unusual, but in the next segment they were the retards one themselves. They did it good.
Re-requesting a subbed sound webm of the entire Juushi/Kara song please
Hi, op here. I meant that I couldn't tell their voices apart in that episode. I watched the other episodes before and their voices are very different. I just couldn't recognize their voices in that segment.
Juushi's love will be baseball you faggots.
Calling it now.
It makes sense I suppose, although I was under the impression that it had to do with making a person feel ashamed of their stupidity. But the bokke is literally too stupid to feel shame.
It's a good episode when we get to see a genuinely happy Ichimatsu.
DetectiveChoromatsu's personality was unexpected. Now I truly like him more.
People talk shit that only Choro being the straight man yet when Totty does it no one seems to give him shit for it. Fuck your double standards.
Feels almost too much of a drastic difference but I'm happy
It was last episode when they were dividing up the imagawayaki
Because Totty was better and he's the second worst brother.
I'm gonna have to rewatch that bit. I completely missed that somehow.
Then how about him being genuinely sorrowful?
Hope to see more art of these two cuties
Wasn't ESP kitty serious enough?
I'm wondering if we will get a Choromatsu arc.
When that Virgin Hero episode airs.
I was honestly expecting the Calming Detective skit to address how suspicious Ichimatsu looked, but how people shouldn't be judged on their appearance no matter how suspicious, like in one of the S1 episodes.
An upcoming episode called "Virgin Hero" is about Choromatsu. It was supposed to air as a part of episode 5, but they changed the schedule. The description says that Choromatsu sees some university students having a barbecue, and that he feels inferior when he sees their different lifestyle. Then "they", who have the same inferiority complex and are filled with hatred, appear.
>Then "they", who have the same inferiority complex and are filled with hatred, appear.
I tend to forget those episodes exist. Thank you lots anons, I'll be waiting for "them".
I need these retards to sing me to sleep every night.
It honestly feels like Ichimatsu's songs went in reverse. Type B was the beginning, and Type A was the conclusion.
Seconded. Best melodies from best matsus.
Choro and Jyushi are the ones that haven't really done anything to Kara and usually are worried about him. Hell even Choro said he would take care of him if it didn't work out with living on their own.
>22 seconds of dramatic reaction cuts
My sides didn't survive.
I don't think Jyushi focus will be sad maybe it might weird but in the end he is probably in love with something silly like his baseball bat.
I want Karamatsu to sing me a lullaby.
Karamatsu is such a good brother, too bad he's the second worst matsu
Best two Matsus singing the dumbest song ever. Good episode.
Looking forward to next episode, too.
The second half was a bit lame but the first half was great.
Pretty much this. It was an okay episode but nothing really stood out.
Is it wrong that I really dig Oso's boyish charm this episode? Like, it's stupidly cute.
I find nothing wrong with that anon.
He feel like a cheeky kid so its kind of cute even if he is kind of an asshole.
I had a chuckle at the fishtress gag, but otherwise I have to agree.
It's probably the format of the show at work. They have to write two stories and a few short gags to fill in the allotted amount of time, so I think it's reasonable to expect that one may not be as good as the other.
This show is fucking great guys
Did he died, /a/?
I'm glad that Jyuushi's mouth-covering jumper thing returned today.
Its not as if he needed Totoko to dominate them
>my opinions before today's episode
Karamatsu > Choromatsu > Ichimatsu > Juushimatsu > Todomatsu > Osomatsu
>my opinions after today's episode
Karamatsu > Choromatsu > Ichimatsu > Juushimatsu > Todomatsu > Osomatsu
Osomatsu is the all-time worst Matsuno forever.
Gangbang doujins coming soon, but have this to tide you over.
This the one?
Well East coast girls are hip
I really dig those styles they wear
And the Southern girls with the way they talk
They knock me out when I'm down there
The Mid-West farmer's daughters really make you feel alright
And the Northern girls with the way they kiss
They keep their boyfriends warm at night
I wish they all could be Karamatsu
I wish they all could be Karamatsu
I wish they all could be
>I used to be a crybaby but now I smile all the time
>niisan play yakyuu with me
>no we played yakyuu yesterday lol we both have no other friends
>what the hell are you smiling at
>boohoo my job is being the smiley one I don't want to go back to being the crybaby
>it's ok if you be like this sometimes sorry for hurting your feelings
>let this be our secret please
Was anyone caught off guard on how Jyushi acted in the first part.
I think I was more caught off guard on how Choro did not seem to care about being the straight man. Or at least berate Oso for the shit he did. I knew Ichi was a red harring since he followed them around when a murder was taking place.
Juicy can be calm when he wants to.
Now we know what happens when we force Juushi into serious thinking.
To get happy Jushi we need to have retarded Juushi.
I enjoyed the first half, second half not so much; I liked Iyami's role in it, but Totoko is just too much of a shit.
Kara and Juushi's song at the end was great, too.
Poor Iyami, can't escape. I hope one day these bros will realize how shitty Totoko is even if she is well drawn. Realize how shitty she is like good ol' Iyami, and even Kara doesn't show any interest in her this episode, just plain helping.
I didn't like this episode, Osomatsu is the worst matsu, and I used to think the show could use more Totoko. Not anymore. Totoko is fucking shit. at least the end of her segment is gold.
Fujiko F. Fujio wrote Doraemon, not Akatsuka.
Eh, she's fine, and I kind of like how she's not a usual Childhood Friend character (i.e. catty instead of shy or tsun). But to be honest she's just like Todo for me-- they both have good scenes and good dialogue sometimes, but they can get on my nerves.
Never heard about this show till this 2015 comeback.
Now I know every SHEEEH I was in a huge amount of anime came from Iyami.
Post SHEEEHs in other anime.
This show is fucking great, I can't have enough.
Tell me. Why does he wear the cone?
Yeah I thought the same, I would've expected Juushi to be the silly one to cheer everyone up.
On the other hand I now want to see him in a "bad cop" role putting suspects into octopus holds.
Would you still love Totoko
if she came with a big black dick?
It's not. Lennon was a massive weeaboo, or do you not remember he married a Japanese woman
Reminder that Ichimatsu is paw loving filth
It was weird when I first realized that was him, but I liked it. Though Jyushi is a special kind of retarded, I was getting really tired of seeing people act as if his retard was all there was to his character. Hopefully this episode and next week's episode will mix things up on Pixiv.
Most art I saw of him over there either was that, him as the Cute Little Brother, or hiding whatever tragic past they might give him. I like seeing another side to ol' Juicy.
Does he have a
I feel like Oso was just playing dumb but didn't really give a shit what he did. Also found it pretty great that Jyushi still says Totty instead of dropping it.
I tried listing it under Memetic Hand Gesture. But for Stock Pose, maybe there wasn't a trope for it because it's a relatively obscure series (at least until this past October).
They should have just translated properly as swastika-hold.
So what are the brother pairings with best dynamics? Who goes with who?
Ichi and Jyushi are obvious, but what about the rest? Jyushi goes great with almost everyone. Kara and Choro is good, but Totty and Osu sounds awful.
>but Totty and Osu sounds awful.
They did a good comedy routine that one time. They seem to be pretty chummy.
What is that round gray thing on the bottom right?
Maybe he want Todo to take turn become tsukkomi. Todo does sometimes do the tsukkomi like when he's fishing with Kara.
Ichi + Juushi, Kara + Juushi, Oso + Choro, Oso + Todo
Totty and Oso seem to be on the same wavelength. As a duo they seem to get along, but pt them on opposing sides and they're gone.
So now we are getting some focus on Jyushi who is the next one to get it? So far there really hasn't been much focus on Choro and Kara besides a few skits involving them, but not really the main focus.
What was the sauce of each murder? Or were they all Seishi Yokomizo stuff? I know Yuureitou had a clocktower murderer but I think the mangaka got it from a mystery novel. The body stored within the wall seemed familar too.
The only story I know of with a body buried in a wall is Cask of Amontillado
Would you a Matsu hotpot?
She's just Totty but as a cute girl. A cute disposition covering a shitty personality.
The only time I remember she got shit on was when she was bullying kid version of kaasan. Since she was jealous of her getting more popular then her. Now I think about it why haven't they done any focus on the parents?
This. Give Totoko a break, she's funny and her antics are generally effective. Plus honesty is the ultimate cuteness.
YOU'RE SO CUTE, TOTOKO!!
Even Jyushimatsu is shocked.
I'm more shocked at Shittymatsu not loving fishy Totoko tbh fam.
Nobody cared who she was until she put on the mask.
>the word filter is gone
god is dead
It's only gone for those who forked up for a pass. Otherwise it's desu all the way
maybe he found a way around it, but it's there for me
>This Autumn season, Academy Award winning actress Jennifer Lawrence will be playing...
Some things are better left unsaid, anon. Not difficult to imagine who won't be receiving Totoko's scaly love.
