Chapter felt short, but at least it made me chuckle quite a bit.

I don't really get what the author intent is with this manga; Baseball manga can be divided between the one where it's all bout mind tricks, the coming of age story, and the full-on sports approach. Seems to me he tries to do everything here.

There's a term in baseball for the pitcher/catcher combination (battery) so I have to imagine it's important.

The catcher is the one able to catch the ridiculous pitches of a strong pitcher, and the catcher is the one who directs and guides the pitcher for their throws.
