They were both shit. Pun pun was so fucking immature and pathetic (which was well written), and Aiko was absolutely fucking crazy from the way her mother raised her, and her half brother pegasus.

She was dead/going to die from the knife wound, and punpun was not bad to kill her mother.They were both fucking retards for how they lived for the rest of her life after that.

Also, punpun is a massively overrated series. He even admitted in an interview that he added the pegasus side plot because the series wasn't enough on it's own. Plus the duality of the HYPER realism portrayed throughout the series was shit on with pegasus' predictions/actions actually being real.

Art/atmosphere carried the entire series.
