i've always felt these are more of a showy exercise with too great of a risk of injury.

10/10 times i would recommend just doing normal pushups extremely slowly, getting the full stretch at the bottom and full contraction at the top. if you really want to do harder pushups, put your feet on the couch and hands on the ground or do pushup pyramids where you move between wide, normal, and diamond variants.

the range of motion in this episode is retarded. if you are going to do body weight squats, grab onto something infront of you so you can get ATG (ass to grass) as possible.
you shouldn't look like you are cross country skiing in the back of a ford fiesta like they are.
barbell squats will always be king, but if you don't have a barbell or can't make it to a gym you can use a dumbell/bag of rocks/anything heavy and do "goblet squats". i did not have equipment for a while when i was younger and filled up bags of rocks and did overhead squats that way.
just remember to keep your toes pointed slightly outward and your feet at approximately shoulder width.

But the show said not to bend the legs too much, why?
it is pretty much a meme exercise, but the usual difference is
>legs shoulder width
>toes pointed slightly outward
>hands extended outward
>toes and knees directed forward
>back erected and maintained strictly upward
>arms extended out at the top of the movement
>pull in arms when descending (doing the negative portion)
>hands are now behind your hips
>hands get near/slightly drag across the ground as you bring them forward in front of you
it is more like a big circle "rowing" action where you can do them in fast repetition.
i assume the reasons are either
>not many people have the ankle flexibility/level of balance needed to not topple over at bottom portion of the squat without a counterweight (the barbell, dumbell, etc)

i think they really fucked the form up on the squats in this episode. this picture is pretty much what i recognize as a hindu squat. there is a variant where you keep your arms behind your head that you might see also.
in my opinion it turns into what suits you/what you like better after trying both exercises. i would say that the propping onto your toes is a very good variant to body weight squats, and the rowing motion may help you keep your balance.
i called it a meme exercise more so because of my weightlifting bias, but i was kind of joking. you can do them if you want, any calisthenic exercise is better than no calisthenic exercise and it is always good to swap exercises and "shock dee muscle" like arnold said.
you will get some benefit, sure. the reason i did not recommend doing them is i doubt most of /a/ is getting ready for their judo showmatch. if you are going to do them make sure you exercise proper form and don't injure yourself.
you should always try to incorporate variants of every exercise into your routines.

are you confusing rep with set?
a 3x10 set is three sets of 10 repetitions, so you do
if you are doing such a small amount of volume (10 reps on pushups is very low) then you should up the sets.
you can try 10x10 with 3 minute rest between each set and slowly lowering the rest time to below 2 minutes.
pushups train incredibly quickly, and you get very used to doing them after a few days training.
stretching and lifting through DOMS makes DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness, literally the "soreness" you are feeling) heal faster.
if you want you can also take up foam rolling

well it depends what you mean by enough. the barbell squat and deadlift are called the king of lifts for a reason. there are some things that you will not be able to work without doing them.
you can substitute by doing what you are doing, just look for more variants that you might be able to do. goblet squats or hack squats.
does your gym have a smith machine?
you can also move to olympic movements, such as the snatch and clean and jerk, or power cleans to try and make up for the loss.
i don't have a squat rack at my house, but i still sometimes snatch/ohp and rest it on my traps and squat that way. the downside of course is i can't go near as heavy as i would traditionally squatting so i increase volume and superset instead, but you get to work more back in jerking it over your head.
