Is there any other anime that has been lost forever like Gothicmade?
>>
Apple made sure of it.
>>
>>133877692
What the fuck is this?
>>
>>133877022
The JoJo movie didn't go to VHS or DVD after bombing super hard in the theatres so there's only like 10 minutes of it online and I think it's unfinished footage.
>>
>>133877022
It's still playing in theaters in Japan.
>>
>>133877846
Araki hate it. No permission for DVD release.
>>
If someday I get rich, I want to fund an anime that is in the style of a series from the 1980s that was never released. Like we would pretend that it was something the was locked in some vault in Tokyo for all these years and is only now being released.

It would be a sci-fi cyberpunk love triangle in 4:3 with a shitload of violence, hyper-stylized sex ala Megazone 23, and GRAIN.
>>
does LaMB counts as anime?

What is this, Five Star Stories-
Oh right it's Nagano Mamoru.
>>
>>133879860
stay here longer and that 'if' will never be real

so for everyone's sake, please GTFO

Why this FSS movie lost? Is Director ashamed the quality so shit for a movie?
>>
RIP GUNVARREL
WE WILL NEVER KNOW HOW IT ENDS
>>
>>133880178
It's because you're a disgusting Gaijin who can't go to Japan to actually watch in theaters.
>>
>>133880178
IT had a very limited run in Japan for a short time back in 2012, and then it was never released and there exist no camrips. The only copies are with the producer, and they are almost assuredly not going to be released to the public.
>>
>>133880178
It's because Nagano insists on doing everything himself.
They're going to be released once he finishes packaging them in his garage, then we'll just have to wait for him to hand deliver it to everyone who orders.
>>
>>133880242
>then it was never released

Please stop, you have no idea what you're talking about.

There exists no BD or DVD or any sort of release outside of the theater run. Go try to download it. I and many others looked for a long time.
>>
>>133880365
I mean that it wasn't a limited theatrical release at all. It was a normal release, and even nowadays it's still played in theaters all over Japan via Dreampass. Even the anons who've seen it on /m/ can confirm this.
>>
>>133880397
People on /m/ are dying for a camrip. If it were so simple, there'd be a camrip by now.
>>
>>133880041
No, you filthy SEAfag.
>>
>>133880227
Is it really just to keep it Japan only?
I always sort of admired Japan's "us first" mentality, but god damn that's going a little too far.
>>
>>133880467
Japan doesn't even get it, at least not outside of theaters. And I don't have any faith that it will be brought to BD after so long, knowing the reputation of Nagano.
>>
>>133880467
It's been said that the movie's audio was designed for movie theaters and Nagano the madman doesn't want to release it on home video. I have no source for this.
>>
>>133880520
Also, it was filmed in 4K, and apparently they're having a hard time compressing it to fit inside a BD without serious issues.

I think it has more to do with Kadokawa than Nagano. They too were the reason why the original FSS move took almost a decade to get a proper DVD release (because the president of the company was caught smuggling cocaine which put a damper on all of Kadokawa's productions). God knows what they're doing behind closed doors right now.

Though, I think it would be smart for them to bring it over to the US for a limited theatrical release via Funimation or something like with other anime movies, if technical problems really are that big of an issue.
