>Shaft in charge of animation
A boy falls in love with a girl.
Unable to confess, he is gifted by a deus ex machina with the girl's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the girl he called is not the same girl he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the girl's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE
Even a normal monogatari adaption has animation in it. Just because it doesn't have flashy action scenes doesn't mean it isn't animation. If anything, normal body movements have some of the most difficult actions to animate.
Actually that would just make Code Geass into something truly mediocre, but still not that terrible. You'd need to actively replace those with worse elements, not just take them out.
It's like you guys aren't even trying.
Make it a slice of life about cute pure girls doing cute things at an all girl school, rarely show them outside of school in the first half and have some yuri bait here and there with one male insert character, but no confirmed pairs.
but then in the second half start to focus on their life outside of school and show them doing stuff like compensated dating, fucking random boys, drinking, going to parties and doing drugs, then have some of them have psychological problems and maybe a suicide towards the end. And the Male character ends up getting ntr'd by the main girl with his friend.
