The judges are the only problem I see here. Soma is a son of a former Elite 10 and a world famous chief. He was trained by him at a young age. I have complete faith that Soma can trash Eizan any time he wants.

However in this case with his cheating and using bribed judges, I don't know how this will turn out. But technically Soma wins either way. If he wins the 9th seat is his. If he loses, he is out of a school that has gone down the shit hole, before the school itself ruins his culinary career.

He poisons the judges and eizan and wins by default.

Eizan didn't focus enough on his cooking skills and put too much emphasis on the business side. The moral of the shokugeki will be if you don't continue to try and improve and challenge yourself your skills become worse/stay the same.

I honestly don't think we'll get a revelation by the judges where they suddenly drop the plan because of Souma's food.
One of three things will probably happen

Isshiki (who has been weirdly quiet this arc) or Rindou get rid of the current judges for some impartial ones to fuck with Eizan.

Someone higher up than Eizan who disagrees with his methods/ideology tells the judges that the plan to auto-fail is out due to either bad press or an attempt to replace Eizan with Souma (and the other top first years) as one of the pillars of new Tootsuki

Eizan shoots himself in the foot and tells the judges to be truthful just so he can really crush Souma once and for all

I could see Souma being an unofficial member of the E10 in that he lacks their power and responsibility of the members but nobody screws with him because everyone knows just how good of a chef he is and Isshiki getting more unofficial power as the PSD group is known to be of E10 level and capable of taking seats.

Considering how stupid the power the E10 hold, one of their members losing could just lead to a vote to kick Eizan out but that would lead to someone else joining. Someone else joining with views that Ryou, Hayama or Souma hold could start up another vote to kick Azami out which just ends the arc.

So there is no way Eizan loses his seat from this loss, unless it becomes E9 for awhile.

Alice has won at least one shokugeki for the Cutting Edge RS clubroom. Meat has that win against Nao. Hayama has the autumn election under his belt.

I'm expecting them to pull out a clause where more people can jump in and demand a spot on the judges panel before the tasting begins. Maybe certain alumni, maybe other members of the E10, it's not like Souma is short on connections with either group.

Whoever it is, Souma has at least four of them lurking nearby waiting to jump in at the last moment so Eizan doesn't have time to make a counter-play. Then he'll have a fair shot at winning a majority of the votes.
