It's just written by Oku as far as I know. Oku's main work is Inuyashiki or whatever the fuck. Where an old guy gets turned into a robot.

Honestly Inuyashiki is pretty much complete shit. I don't know what it is about him loving to write about daytime lanterns. Gantz turned to shit after being interesting for so long, because he couldn't come up with decent reasoning for how anything existed other than to pull the god card at the last second.
Guess that's what happens with you straight introduce vampires and then try to explain how magic black balls got created by a german company being controlled by a fat girl in a coma.

I don't get how authors don't understand that they don't have to explain EVERYTHING. Like even if characters theorize how something came to be, it's fine. Sometimes we aren't given the answer to everything. I find the series that fuck up the hardest are the ones who try to answer these questions instead of just saying "it's sci-fi I don't gotta explain shit"

They introduced aliens, demons, vampires, espers, and all sorts of random shit and never explained how some of these things existed. Kurono suddenly decided that these asshole aliens should live because they're human-ish (like all of the aliens weren't) and totally TK'd the shit out of Nishi. It's like Hitler suddenly realizing he should stop killing Jews and killing off an SS officer.
The black balls explanation, the girl in a coma in germany, Kurono's brother being a vampire and dying within a chapter. Like he seriously gets introduced and killed within a minor amount of chapters and we never talk about him again. THE MAIN CHARACTERS BROTHER. Like holy shit, might as well just made him some random mook.

There's so much man. You can't help this series.
