When you're trying to figure out why a drawing isn't working the way you want and you begin to feel frustrated with your lack of ability despite showing the improvement already, you're going to feel bad. This is a thing all artists have to deal with, no matter how skilled they end up becoming.

When you feel like your chosen profession has led you in a direction you really don't want to be in, you're going to feel bad. There's no shame in seeing life as various paths and understanding that they can go towards a goal you don't want. The question is whether or not the goal you want is the goal that is truly desired, and that's a great thing to feel difficulty with.

And when you're handed administrative control despite being fresh out of school, you're going to feel bad. You're going to see the entire industry in a new lens and that is going to cause you to think about where you're going and whether you want to be there. You don't have the benefit of being fresh-faced amateur working up and growing into the industry. You get the benefit of getting a job that escalates you to the top, with every problem that you would be able to tackle with experience happening without experience. Naturally you're going to feel like seeing the industry in such a light would cause a dilemma.

The entire situation in Shirobako is about lack of life experience and what growing up actually means. You have to deal with problems as they come, you have to learn from past experiences, you have to learn lessons from the people before you, etc.
