Because Gatomon is already at an adult level. That is Champion to dubfags.
It looks more like a cramschool. Either way some of the shit the teacher does is questionable like seating the failing students at the back.
>there are people on this board who literally dislike ken
What went wrong for my nigga Jou?
It's a general regardless:
Speaking of which, POST YUR DAMN MONSTERS!
>Digimon in the sub version don't get deeper voices as they evolve
I thought we agreed to not have another thread for a while
I don't know where people got this idea that Jou is super smart. He's not. His thing in Adventure was that he was perfectly average but felt he had responsibility to be a doctor
>Movie 2: Determination
Did Alphamon take the 02 kids' souls?
>Some of you guys are alright, don't go to Odaiba tomorrow.
This really doesn't look movie quality... it doesn't look bad but it doesn't look better than if it was a normal TV series release.
I hope so, though I appreciate that they skipped over it this time.
It made it that much more dramatic without having to sit through two minutes of transformation footage to get to Omegamon.
It was nice that they just glided through Ultimate and Mega, but let them get a shot in.
Why is the music during the Alphamon fight so bad? I don't feel pumped up at all listening to it.
This show sucks. Omegamon looks stupid.
>When the Digital world sends us their people, they don't send their best. They send Kuwagamon, they send Alphamon, they destroy our airports and some, I assume, are good creatures.
> We need to build a great, great firewall. It's going to be a great wall; and the Digital World is going to pay for it
>Make the real world great again
>Omega only got fucked in the second season
Umakoshi barely did anything. The rushed schedule and a shit pile of quality as well as Saint Hogwarts and Elemental Crystals really sabotaged its initial momentum. And when it just started getting good, the head writing/animation team gets replaced and we get season 2 instead.
Meiko a cute.
Go back to your cage with your fuck buddy Analogman.
>There is only one solution for the Digital problem, a final solution.
I think we got that covered;
>Kari/Tai is the best ship
>won't happen because Meiko
>She settles with Davis because he reminds her so much of her brother
>forces him to wear goggles during sex so she can pretend he's Tai
Best girl for best boy, but only because she can't have her brother.
i would really like a mechasnimon or something for an ultimate
I get the intent, they feel the need to add atheir new original character into the mix to keep things fresh. But I'm not really on board with her or her digimon yet.
When I first saw here in the trailers I thought she was just gonna be a generic tsundeshit. Glad she turned out to be something much less cancerous.
To this day I wonder how Kurata captured one. I want a sexy boob angel with a bunch of Taiomon as my harem.
A boy falls in love with a cell phone.
Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the phone’s number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls it, and is overjoyed to find out that it has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the phone, it only vibrates at him with a perplexed screen. After some investigation, he finds out that the phone he called is not the same phone he fell in love with. In fact, it doesn't exist in this universe at all. It is the phone's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of its crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of LOVE.
She's a humanoid Digimon and thus mammal.
(but you said music)
If you think Toei could do this kind of animation on any TV budget, you have to be joking. I mean it's not movie budget either but it's definitely not TV tier (for Toei)
Reminder that she comes from the middle of nowhere in Southwest-Honshu. Literally a poorfag from the desert.
>Hopefully she has a brighter future with a diplomat husbando.
>Meanwhile, worst girl is going to get banged by an absent astronaut.
Digimon can have a biological sex if they wish. They are programs and can be updated with new features.
Nigga, that scene was to poke fun at renamon.
Digimon do have genders in tamers, you see a village of adult digimon where some are children as well as a married couple. Vajramon also lusted after renamon.
The kids have grown up and matured and thus needed voices that reflected that. The Digimon however remain the same never changing staying child-like forever. Save for Tailmon who is an adult thus the oldest of her Digimkn comrades.
When ranamon becomes relevant and there's a human/digimon pairing, then will they maybe consider it.
What I was trying to say is it could've been affected by my dislike towards the animation and Tai being a pussy in that situation. I was hoping for something like Our War Game.
Hopefully Omegamon's early debut means it won't be hogging all the spotlight for the remaining movies.
You know, despite all the complaints, I got more and more hype as fuck with each episode. I was pretty giddy at the end.
It was like I was 12 again and watching Wargreymon and Metalgarurumon duel it out in the skies during Puppetmon's arc.
It was fantastic. It IS fantastic. And it makes me so happy.
Doesn't anyone have that official pic with the weird combinations but more similar style of Tsuritama/Cencoroll?
I wanted the designs to look more like that. In the end Tsurimon wasn't real.
Takeru always had that bit of a jerk side in him.
They all just heading into a new stage in their lifes. Yamato worries it means they're all gonna change and drift apart, Taichi feels like they've been drifting apart for a while now, specially since he misses agumon & co., and Jou thinks he has already crossed that line, like it's a no returning point and is afraid of looking back.
h-he's still the best
No. I have shamed you all.
As far as the animation goes, it's pretty much Tsuritama-tier. I lived with it during Tsuritama, and I'll live with it for Digimon.
Lighthearted fishing episode when?
That's too bad. Hopefully you'll like the next installments, though.
>he breaks up with her because he finds out she's a digimon
Go rewatch it, Jake. It's hella slow in the first 20 episodes but then it gets nice. You have time until march.
I thought the designs were less Tsuritama than I thought they'd be, since I like Uki's designs, it was a bummer, really.
It was amazing, I just want another scene like that.
Are you confusing omegamon with alphamon?
I know. I've watched the
dubprobably 6 times through. Despite the shitty 90s Toei animation, I get hyped and love it each time.
>Myotismon/Vamdemon in Tokyo arc
I should actually get around to watching the subs soon.
I'll be honest. I hated it at first, but /a/'s optimism with the show made me see it in a more positive manner. I think I'm willing to look past the average animation and just enjoy some digimon. I don't want to become jaded and hate everything unless it is absolute 10/10 material.
Mimi looks great and I really hope they bring back Bolero sometime later, or the other classical musics that they use when Digimon cause havoc in electronic devices.
>Taichi-san, this world is rotten, we must destroy it to create a new one.
you know, what if...
Alphamon contacts Jou through the internet, initially pretending to be a female to grab his attention he starts slowly brainwashing Jou like how he does to the missing 02 kids, using the computer to do so and forge the connection ala Sailor Mercury's episode in Sailor Moon with the brainwashing program? Jou starts turning robotic as Alphamon controls him, quickly discarding the girlfriend ploy because there's no need for it anymore now that he's somewhat controlling Jou leads up to Mimi and Gomamon snapping him out of it and realizing what's going on Alphamon doesn't even give a shit, he just wanted to manipulate the Chosen it'd also relate to Jou looking kind of dark in the previews
poor dude can never catch a break, after all
Yeah, if you told me about Meiko and didn't tell me where she was from I would've assumed she was a fan fiction OC.
>classic self insert shy glasses girl
>moves into town out of nowhere
>suddenly Taichi's love interest
American dubs are the worst though, check the sub someday.
Picture not related, but Tsuritama anyway.
I want to go back in time and tell 8 year old me knew what was up. She has a hot mom then and she is still a hot mom now.
Jou 'looks dark' because he's stuck studying for tests he doesn't care about in a school he doesn't care about while his friends are fighting for their lives.
Episode 2 is called 'Decision' And it features Vikemon and Rosemon. Jou is going to finally live up to his crest of Honesty and say "Fuck this lying to myself nonsense, I'm going to follow my heart and desires." and evolve Vikemon to fight Imperialdramon.
But she's super cute so who cares.
ngl I don't know why people still think Hikari would go for a jerkish guy like him in the first place, childhood friends be damned. he has two girlfriends he's leading on for fuck's sake, why would she still want his dick knowing that?
>Taichi has to kill him
>this makes Yamato try to kill him in anger and Taichi kills him in self defense
>in the chaos everyone starts killing each other
>Taichi is the only survivor but later dies in an "accidental" cave-in
>Then again, the chosen 8+1 just doesn't sound as cool
You say that like they didn't used to be the chosen 7+1.
Hikari's crest was the most goddamn shoehorned thing ever. Courage, friendship, love, etc. and then suddenly LIGHT.
mah nigga, the tension between these two is unreal, i just want them to kiss and make up. literally.
I have a really soft spot for the puns, not gonna lie. Even DIGIMON GARLIC CHAMPIONS has its own charm once you've heard it enough.
But yes, I should check out the "true" Adventures experience one day.
I actually really liked their interactions in these episodes. You can tell how they've matured.
Has she /a/?
Just finished watching it, so let me see if I get this right.
Joe and Taichi lost their balls.
Takeru fucking every hole in town.
Yamato tipping fedora.
Sora a slut as always.
What the fuck happened?
Koushiro the only one with his life in the right path and Mimi still best girl.
Don't do this to me Toei
You hit me hard in the final episode as a kid.
A sad Palmon is a sin against nature.
Even those nameless band members got the boot.
Kuwagamon only has 2 wings right? It has them again after this.
Poor guy got fedorad.
>Joe and Taichi lost their balls
Basically, and they will find them again by the end of the series.
>Takeru fucking every hole in town
With at least 2 girls
his brotherand at least one more gunning for him.
He's also tipping more fedora then Yamato.
>Sora a slut as always.
>What the fuck happened?
Reality, responsibility and teenage angst happened.
He does. Imagine how jealous Mimi is right now.
Fuck off, Joe was the best character of the whole cast, sincere but never giving up, reliable and always looking for the right choice,
and got Mimi wet for a moment, truly an alpha male, but now he just feel like a spineless coward, fuck trolei.
They never needed tags and crests they figured it out after fighting Apocalymon. The tags and crests just helped them figure it out initially. They just couldn't evolve during 02 because that power was being used to fix and protect the Digital World which is why they needed a Holy Beast to help them out.
>Has one of the coolest partners
>Saved Takeru about twice
>Along with Sora took Yamato out of his CRAAAWLING stage
>Defeated MetalEtemon with SaberLeomon
>Helped Mimi when she was sad in the Dark Masters Arc
I think there's more in fact, I do remember he dealing with Yamato's bullshit more than once.
I'd like to see how the girl looks in Adventure's style.
He's still the best. He's also the wisest, so he know when he is needed and when he's not. He knew the others could handle Alphamon so he didn't bother. He'll be back to save their asses when the time calls.
He's become distracted for something that affects his future and its putting pressure on him. Remember Jo was always the one who was quickest to worry about the real issues of the group.
Whatever it is, he is going to get Vikemon so he'll reclaim his Sincerity or something and hopefully go out of it
>Madoka invented shy girls with long black hair and glasses
>He's become distracted for something that affects his future and its putting pressure on him
That shit hits a little too close to home. I can't wait for my eternal nigga Jou to make his return in the second movie.
Why do you faggots always like to bring gay shit into every threads I'm in. For fuck's sake.
Interview with Meiko's VA.
Do we have any translatorfag here?
>yfw imperialdramon paladin mode is what saves the day
Why does everyone hate Sora? She was fine this movie. The only obnoxious character was Taichi. Fuck. His angst was fucking annoying.
Mimi, Yamato and Koushirou were the only ones that I cared about.
Jesus Christ is Takeru wearing drop crotch pants?
I can't deal with this.
Right? It was a 7/10 for me, which is baseline for something I will watch, but an 8/10 because its hitting my nostalgia sectors hard core.
10/10 fight scenes tho. Alphamon vs. Omegamon
No she wasn't. Her only arc was being indecisive about which cock she wanted.
>The only obnoxious character was Taichi. Fuck. His angst was fucking annoying.
It was hamfisted, but it made sense.
>Meiko is actually just Meikomon controlling second fake body
>16 year old song
>lyrics in English
>no one calls morning practice this
There's lazy, and there's just not knowing casual English.
They're breaking our ships.
I knew this day would come. At least the fights will be good right?
I never shipped anything besides Jyou and Mimi and that already sunk but I don't really care.
Takarifags, or any ship Sora related can fuck off because the fanbases are cancer.
>He starts hearing voices in his sleep and dreams about his friends falling to dark digimon
>This influences his actions when fighting and he starts seeing more evil digimon as potential threats that have no idea of the power they wield
>His REEEEEEMOVE DARKNESS side gets exaggerated, and he becomes more merciless to digimon that profess to wield dark powers (Devimon, Myotismon, etc)
>Eventually his dreams start prophecizing future events, as the mysterious, familiar voice subtly influences evil digimon so as to make the dreams come true
>He eventually decides that the only way to truly purge the darkness and protect his friends is to forcibly take control of the digital world and cleanse it himself, and since nobody else will understand this he'll do it alone
>Angelic-themed Kaiser arises
>Mysterious voice that's been guiding and shaping him this whole time turns out to be
Piedmon, trying to escape MagnaAngemon's holy gate
Annoying as hell. If they found it so hard, they should have just had a segment at the end of the episode detailing name changes, while keeping all names the same as Japan.
And naming Omegamon, Omnimon finally bit them in the ass.
Don't get me started on all the subtitle problems with this. These are all Toei official subs and it felt like they wanted to have their subs both ways, both a direct translation and pander to dubfags
>Entire football team lusting after Hikari
At least someone has good taste.
He just realized that collateral damage isn't something he can't let go. maybe when he was younger he (and the series) didn't really thought about the consequences of giant monsters wrecking up everything
The face of a girl and her pet cat about to be killed by a huge black robot knight
She doesn't want any cock, dumbshit. It was all about Taichi's whining about BWAA why can't my friends pay attention to ME? He even did a dick move and mailed Sora knowing that Yamato had already invited her to the concert.
He's the fucking worst friend ever who stood there and watched how his friends, sisters and meiko were hit and endangered while he froze because his balls shrunk to decide "what to do."
Sora was simple torn because she didn't want to disappoint either friend and it was fucking Taichi who put her in that spot because he's the biggest piece of shit in this movie.
I'm glad they're finally explicitly showing how people around them would naturally be terrified of the monsters fucking up their city and lives and sure as hell wouldn't consider some of them to be "good guys".
Not all the kids. Just all the ones that were shoved in the back of Oikawa's truck.
>He even did a dick move and mailed Sora knowing that Yamato had already invited her to the concert.
He only did that after trying with all his other friends. At that point he was feeling like shit, that's why he mailed Sora. He obviously regretted it right away which is why he didn't tell her "if you can make it..." like he was going to.
And? You're excusing his obviously shitty behavior. He's a terrible friend, who goes behind a friend's back, and puts another in a spot because he can't man up with his own issues.
Please stop being an apologist. He was by far the shittiest kid this movie, I'm sure this is going to change during the next ones.
Why do people complain there's no romance?
There's plenty of gay homo faggotry for the entire anime.
How does the technology to sense Digital anomalies exist in 2005? How can the technology to create a pocket dimension in cyberspace exist in 2005? How can any machine no matter how advanced it is at the time pull off all of this in 2005?
>tfw kinda hoping for Biomerge Digivolution later down the road
That's nice, but trying to demonize Sora because she didn't want either friend to be lonely shows you're retarded assmad shipperfags. Sora did absolutely nothing wrong.
The one who did wrong and acknowledged it was Taichi. So please stop trying to shit a character who hasn't done anything bad in Tri while trying to excuse someone who is obviously needs to pull himself together.
>puts another in a spot
He's just asking his friend if she could go to his game holy fuck, nobody else had any problem telling him they couldn't go. She put herself on the spot by not having the god damn will and decision. He wasn't even completely sure about sending it, but the dude is so alienated and sad he tried anyway. Fuck him for trying to share something important to him with a friend, right?
Considering that one scene in the movie, and her design, I don't think there's any shame in that.
The whole point of the scene was to demonstrate that just because she loves Yamato doesn't mean she's stopped being Taichi's best friend since among the Chosen Children they had the closest relationship when they went to camp.
What a horrible thing to wish for.
Why is this animation so bad?
How long were they working on this?
Because she already told Yamato she'll go to the concert and Taichi knew. Stop being a fucking apologist. He's a shit tier friend who would think random rubble and flashback of broken cellphones are more important than helping his friends fighting for their lives in front of him.
He was worse than Daisuke.
surely everything isnt going to work itself out through the power of friendship, right?
theyre going to finally have a final battle instead with imperial knights fighting eachother, right?
Yes I know this is the kid that hacked his way into the Digital World's and Tentomon's data to have it evolve back in '99 but this just boggles the mind. I can accept advanced technology in Yu-Gi-Oh but Digimon...I can't.
I wanted Yamato to punch Taichi badly during Part 4. Was I the only one? Jesus. What happened to him? It's not even about changing or not changing, but how he was right that he was running away.
I hope Meiko doesn't end up with him. He's terrible for letting her nearly killed because he couldn't move frozen by flashback of a shattered cellphone!
It's already tainted.
Still hyped for this garbage.
Nobody was wrong there, baitman. Taichi was lonely and wanted to hang out with friends like he used to during a time when he's unsure about everything, and Sora wanted to hang out with both because she's friends with both. All three know it's a shitty situation, but only Taichi has lost his confidence because he doesn't know where to go from here when everyone else seems to.
His best friends are never around his other best friends are stuck on the other side of a closed gate his life has no vision and he's losing hold on the courage that was his greatest trait. His characterization reflects that.
Taichi is not the strongest character right now and that's okay. That gives him room to grow.
It means the bro'ing between him and Yamato will be so amazing once he finds his courage and decisiveness again.
why is he dressed like this /a/?
Nah, it had huge plot holes, characters that were defined solely by "Law hero/Chaos hero/Neutral hero", and being forced into agreeing with one or the other in many points instead of the obvious solution of take down both sides for neutral. And the new demon designs don't fit with the motif of being how believers would have envisioned them as.
The entire reason he was so out of it for most of this episode:
-He's aimless at the moment
-Feels he's drifting apart from his friends
-Misses his friends from the digital world, and wishes to go on another adventure
-He got his next adventure, and friends from the digital world, but now realizes all the danger he puts people through in digimon battles
This all hit him like a truck, and messed him up.
That being said, he learned these infected digimon aren't confused or scared, they're berserk, so fighting is the only option.
Christ, what a baby.
>he learned these infected digimon aren't confused or scared, they're berserk
I would've said the opposite, it isn't until he confronts Kuwagamon that it actually starts trying to destroy things
>How do you excuse those demon designs
Still a good game though.
I could see a crossover working really well, just have the protagonist's body eat the dead digimon's data to improve itself and don't give him a partner so he has to negotiate with digimon. I just have no hopes for any digimon related game to be anything more than mediocre
