The episode featuring the meme attack just aired. I think toei did a pretty good job
He didn't die. He betrayed the crew due to DESTINY like robin did in Water 7
Sanji is the son of a gorosei
We're in for another chase a straw hat to the ends of the earth no matter how shitty they are arc
I just realised that Zoro looks silly when he wears the bandana with a suit on. The dark on dark doesn't fit him.
At least compared to the last episode, this one was quite good. Shame that they just brought up the same old memories of Baratie, instead of showing the flashback of Mihawk forbiding Zoro to drink alcohol until he mastered haki.
>thinking this isn't the return of Mr. Prince
I really liked this episode, at least the second half, they padded the fuck out of the first ten minutes but it got pretty good later. There were some actual good shots in there, I didn't like them changing the color of Pica's armor when he wentbnigga mode, but it still looks nice, I also liked the flashback to Mihawk and the parallels to using Sanzen Sekai there and here. They'll probably add the scene of Mihawk's training next episode and milk it for all it's worth, overall I liked this week's ep, makes me exited that Gear Fourth won't be shit.
>no one would fuck Usopp
>but two people would fuck Chopper
This is the perfect example of a speedreader
I get the feeling Pica was more reliant on his fruit, while Vergo trained his haki more.
Never understood why Vergo didn't take advantage of Doflamingo's connections to become a logia user with the Mera Mera or Yuki Yuki.
First off nice dubs, and secondly that's like asking why Zoro or Sanji train haki rather then just getting a fruit they clearly don't want them and don't feel the need to have one
Vergo was such a ridiculous character. Really hope he's not dead. Probably not, but it'd be a waste if him and Monet don't come back later in the series.
Reminder that Doffy and Doffyfags got epic BTFO
LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO did all the doffyfags leave the thread
I think that is the one case where I prefer my imagination
>She's not a slut.
>not a slut
Nojiko, pls stop posting
>The episode featuring the meme attack just aired. I think toei did a pretty good job
It's Zoro m8. 15 years old kids want to fap to their idol and Toei knows it.
The quality always improve went edgy cool characters appears
i think wano will come next arc and we'll be off this elephant in under 10 more chapters
i think the elephant will move to wano mid-arc and will play an important role. it is mobile after all
seems likely, since jack attacked
i'm imagining the party being split next arc —robin, jinbe and some others on zou trying to find out [X revelatory secret] involving the poneglyphs while the rest of the crew deals with shit on wano.
but it's likely or possible that there's another small arc between here and there. either way, i don't think zou is going to be even close to being wrapped up before the crew leaves. imo it's going to be developed later
Okay so I'm looking for like a movie or some shit to watch to hold me over until the next ten episodes of the dub release. Can anyone tell me what movies I should watch and which ones I should avoid?
> Dub is literal dog shit
> Just read the manga you fucking faggot
> Just look it up yourself
I already watched Strong world, and while I do think it is a good movie, the ending seemed a bit rushed. The big fight between Luffy and Shiki seemed so short in comparison to other fights in the series. But i'll check out Film Z for sure. I've also heard good and bad things about the 3d one. Am I better off putting a bullet in my head than watching that or is it actually worth a watch?
I watched all the 3D ones, they're alright I guess but nothing special. I remember movie 12 or whatever the most recent 3D one was having Sanji kick open a seastone cage which was retarded so yeah.
>likes to cuddle with polar bears
Not debatably undeniably. The direction is far stronger than in any other.
That said Strong World holds a special place in my heart because it was when I really started to love the series. It has some iconic moments, nice music and a great credit sequence.
I haven't seen any other animal throw parties and drink coca cola
This is fact!
I was really hoping Bepos backstory would be that he was normal human crew member that suffered fatal injuries and Law saved his life by switching his heart with a nearby bear.
The Japanese version has some of the greatest voice acting you could possibly ask for. Legend after legend in the industry for everyone from main characters to small side characters.
Aside from Brook and a few others the dub is blatantly mediocre and passionless, why not just give the original a chance.
>There's nothing in this world I can't cut
20 chapters later he can barely hold back Doflamingo's strings, actually can we talk about how Bird Cage held back Zoro and an Admiral and a shit ton of other haki users all at the same time?
It's been scientifically stated by someone that string is the strongest substance on some planet!
>not the side
They literally said they were trying to push it back. Cutting it would fuck up what they were trying to do.
It was pushing seastone like it was nothing despite being a devil fruit ability, it was clearly supposed to be an unstoppable force.
If he wanted to destroy the cage entirely above all else then he would have gone after Doflamingo anyways, he states himself that he was entrusting it to another pirate to make a point.
>Sanji only wanted fruit to be able to do lewd
Yea, i think that answers why he doesn't really want another fruit.
Because they can't fullfill his dream of become the best pervert there ever was.
You may be right in that respect but it doesn't change the fact that Oda put specific focus on the fact that Doflamingo's string could defeat Fujitora's meteor. Fuji wonders if it can slice "even" his meteor, as though he considers doing so quite a feat, and then it does.
I want to get on to One Piece...
Should I start with the manga or the animu?
You can read or watch it subbed from the beginning
Despite the hate the anime gets it's almost all unjustified for the earlier years. It's the modern Toei era One Piece that dropped in quality immensely.
>Despite the hate the anime gets it's almost all unjustified for the earlier years. It's the modern Toei era One Piece that dropped in quality immensely.
QFT. it stumbles though for sure. skypeia and enies lobby are filler-filled, the first 30 episodes are a bit on the slog side, the alabasta fights are plodding, impel down is half filler...
but G8 makes up for it
>No one hates (at least I hope they don't) early One Piece
it's a meme that occurred when people picked up the series during marineford. before that, people used to rec the anime quite a bit. not now.
damn near every other person who says this has never touched the anime.
Are you prepared for all the QUALITY shots of gear fourth
I'm diggin' the demon-like haki though.
Oh there will be QUALITY shots of filler considering how long he is in Gear Fourth the first time
Doflamingo looked off a few times in just their first clash in the executive room before Birdcage
i just watched the scene, and i don't know how any of it can be considered a "good job", the animation and drawings were terrible as usual, and that mihawk flashback was unnecessary.
That only happens when he overuses it, and not major chunks. Plus humans can live to be fucking old in One Piece and he has Chopper who's dream it is to be able to cure any disease and such.
>That only happens when he overuses it
More like when he overuses it against an opponent who will kill him when he becomes too exhausted to move.
It never literally reduced his lifespan fastfriend.
mushi mushi, sogeking desu
Something like this but more tender?
What so many people seem to ignore completely is the sheer scale of the Birdcage, it covered the ENTIRE Island. Cutting would not have done shit to stop it. Even if Zoro would have cut out a small part it would have done fucking nothing. He would have to rush all over the island to make cuts that would have destroyed the cage and this was impossible in the little time that was left until it completely closed. Nobody tried cutting it because they knew it would have made no difference at this point. And that Doffys strings are fucking strong was already shown when he stopped Jozu completely in his tracks. And that was with invisilbe strings. Birdcage strings were so thick that they were visible. Also Doffy had 3 fucking decades to train his df powers and pretty much honed his skills to perfection, so much that he even awakened his fruit.
That's not how Oda represented it though, with Zoro breaking out of Fujitora's gravity followed by Fujitora fleeing the battlefield.
Oda couldn't have Zoro fight Fujitora because he'd lose and Oda wants the SH and Fujitora to be sympathetic to each other.
He launched a slash while Fujitora tried to suppress his ability to do so with gravity. But as you said, Zoro launched a slash anyway.
You can't spin it. He broke out of it on his first try and then Fujitora ran away.
What do you base that on? Luffy easily standing toe to toe with Fujitora? The timeskip's purpose was literally to allow Luffy to fight admirals, it's the stated reason for Luffy's training it's what Luffy flashes back to when he agrees to to do it's perfectly reasonable that he can fight them now.
Luffy had a harder time against Crocodile than he did against Fujitora and he still beat Crocodile.
>What do you base that on?
Fujitora being obviously stronger than Doflamingo and Luffy barely defeating the latter
you can't really say anything about the fight between the two of them because neither of them had gone all out yet
Luffy took no damage vs Fujitora. Being pushed away is nothing compared to what's happened to him in many of the fights he won. The only fights he ever lost he was overwhelmingly outmatched immediately, which wasn't the case at all vs Fujitora.
Its a devil fruit power. Just like Barto's fruit has barriers that are most likely impossible, if not really hard to break, Doflamingo's strings are incredible durable, and Birdcage is most likely tightly bound strings, making razor sharp ropes of incredibly durable strings. A devil fruit does what it does best, because it's it's only power, and it has to do that best. A fruit that gives you strings that can be easily cut is pointless, because it removes your main strength from being a threat. It would be like Barto having barriers made of glass.
>The timeskip's purpose was literally to allow Luffy to fight admirals
No it wasn't The timeskips purpose was to allow Luffy and his crew to survive in the New World. Just like before the New World the Strawhats, at least Luffy, Sanji and Zoro, were abnormally strong for their place in life, they have leveled up the same way with the New World
This right here does not look like "toe to toe", it more makes the impression Luffy got saved by Haijruudin in this scene
You may as well say the timeskip's purpose was for Luffy to be able to match Yonkous.
Admirals are second to only Yonkous in terms of their strength ratings on average. Luffy is good enough now to hold his own a little better, but he's not stronger than admirals or Yonkou at this time.
Luffy flashed back to Kizaru raping his crew when he agreed to train with Rayleigh, right before he agreed, as well.
Luffy surviving in the new world requires he be able to fight an admiral, because he needed to be able to in the regular grand line and couldn't, and his whole crew almost died because of it.
Dude, what ? It gives off the exact opposite impression. Hajrudin only grabbed Luffy because they had to get the hell out of dodge. Look at who's panting and being exasperated ? I feel like you posted the worst page possible for your case.
If Fuji went all out he would destroy Luffy. Hes an Admiral for a reason. But the entire time he fought Luffy he was still hesitating, because he was not like the other Admirals, who held firmly to the marines sense of justice, even Kuzan followed orders without hesitation even if he had personal problems with the orders. Fujitora is different, he doesn't even like the marines and follows his own justice and morals, even if it means going against his superior's orders
Luffy is a much bigger target than "every pirate" though. The admirals already tried to kill him and his crew multiple times. Most pirates in the new world have not been attacked by Kizaru, Aokiji, and Akainu before they even got there.
And why did they have to get the hell out of there? Oh that's right...because Fujitora is strong enough to literally solo every person there. The fleet even said it themselves
He does though, he told his crew to run from Kizaru, made a mano e mano deal with Aokiji because he thought his crew would die otherwise, and yelled out that he was weak when he got delivered to rayleigh after flashing back to an admiral killing his brother.
Guys look. Luffy was admiral level and went toe-to-toe with Aokiji before even Water 7.
Surviving in the New World doesn't require fighting an Admiral, hell, if were going by that logic, surviving in the New World requires being able to fight a Yonko, since they are more of a force in the New World than any of the Marines are. But no, Luffy trained so he could have the strength to tackle the threats of the New World and protect his crew, since he was too weak to do anything for them before. Not specifically to fight an Admiral.
They had to leave because Sengoku and Tsuru were on the island too, and because Fujitora was going to target the fleet's structures, not because Luffy was in any kind of 1v1 trouble.
This doesn't invalidate what I said in the slightest. The supernova are a fold above regular new world pirates as well.
In this example Luffy was immediately overwhelmed and knew he would be overwhelmed so he made Aokiji agree to let it be 1v1 only.
Against Fujitora Luffy announced he would fight anybody, made no such precautions, and took no damage.
And his plot armor served him well indeed!
Hes exasperated because Luffy got him mad. Luffy went all out against Fujitora when they clashed, even if he was calling his attacks out he was fighting with the full intent to beat Fuji, Luffy has never once held back when hes fighting someone.
For Luffy's crew just surviving the first half of the grand line required the former pirate king's first mate + a shichibukai android personally saving him and his crew specifically because he couldn't fight an admiral.
His brother also died because he couldn't fight an admiral.
And again, these are the things he flashed back to when he agreed to train with Rayleigh.
This translation is wrong and you should kill yourself for posting shitpanda to make a point
>Luffy went all out against Fujitora
That's a whole load of bollocks and you know it. He only threw some Gear 3 punches. Nameless ones. Just swings. You think that's going all out ? Fuck no. Hell, Luffy even blocks Fujitora's swing with his hand.
And again, he didn't train specifically for an Admiral. He and his crew all realized what they needed wasn't training to fight Admirals, it was the strength, alone, to fight against the New World. The New World doesn't have the Marine's presence, so it's much less likely they would ever run into an Admiral in the New World, the danger in the New World comes from the Yonko and their fleets, which control the New World completely. If Luffy was getting strong enough to survive the New World he would be aiming to beat a Yonko, not an Admiral, if he was aiming for anything like you said.
Nigger, what ? Only the words are diffent. They both say the same damn thing.
>I will beat all off you up if I have to, or I'll never be Pirate King
>If I don't beat up all of them, I'll never become Pirate King
Hell, even in your superior translation, Luffy says "I can't keep saying I'll beat him someday"
Luffy's done running away. He trained for 2 years so that he could protect everyone. So that he wouldn't have to be in a spot like Sabaody.
And again, the fact that Luffy was shown remembering his fights vs admirals specifically when he agreed to train with Rayleigh and his statement when he fights Fujitora that he can't keep saying he'll be stronger than them "someday" strongly suggests you're in error.
I know, mangareader, it's just the link I have open.
Who the fuck said I was arguing on that side ?
No, he was using Gear 3rd and Gear 2nd attacks, along with his armament Haki, while shouting his attacks, meaning he couldn't call out his attack names, all the while Fujitora was tossing him around like a rag doll. Why the hell would Luffy even hold back against an Admiral, for another matter. You're spouting bullshit if you think he was holding back when he was using two Gears to fight.
Wait a minute, I'm on Luffy's side. I posted that to show Luffy trained to beat all tyese strong guys. Not yo show that Fuji was unbeatable. How did this misunderstanding pop up ?
No, you are saying hes flashing back to those specifically because hes training to beat Admirals. Hes not. He flashed back to them to remember the times he was too weak to beat his enemies. If he trained specifically to beat Admirals, he would still get his shit pushed in against the Yonko. Luffy trained to get the strength to beat anyone, not just Admirals and certainly not specifically them.
He wasn't insulted by Luffy holding back, he was insulted that Luffy was trying to help him by calling his attacks out because Fuji was blind. He was angry because he thought Luffy was pitying him.
I think Luffy will initially get his shit pushed in when he fights a yonko, then defeat him, like vs Crocodile.
The difference between fujitora and luffy is less than the difference between crocodile and luffy when they fought. Luffy still beat Crocodile, and I imagine he will still beat a yonko too, with great effort.
Dude, he obviously wasn't going all out though, was he ? He didn't just smap Gattling, did he ? He didn't just King Kong Gun, did he ? He didn't just use Gear 2 and spam Redhawk, did he ? No. He yelled out his fucking attacks because he thought it'd be unfair otherwise. He was basically pitying a fucking Admiral. Tossing him around like a rag doll ? Where the fuck did you pull that from ? Fuji used Gravito once and Luffy was grabbed up immediately.
Pitying him by tangibly holding back. Fuji thought Luffy believed he was weak because he was blind, and felt the need to announce he was strong and state that Luffy made him serious. After which he still failed to do any damage to Luffy.
I think this assortment of arguments has a major problem the is confusing people, and that is, where everyone stands.
I am >>133842082 this guy, and my stance isn't that Luffy CAN'T beat Fujitora, its that Luffy would have a ridiculously hard fight to win against him, as he wasn't holding back against Fuji and the guy was still casually blocking and knocking him around. Whenever Luffy eventually gets to fighting an Admiral for real, it will probably be his most difficult fights outside of Yonko battles.
Let's not forget that the crew jumps in power after every fight. Luffy's going to get stronger and stronger by the time he faces off against a Yonkou. Plus, if a friend is in trouble, like Momo or Sanji, they're gonna get an even bigger power boost.
I don't think Luffy would casually defeat Fujitora, he just would defeat him, as he is now. So really we have no disagreement. Of course Admirals are near the top of the food chain when it comes to fighting in One Piece.
Luffy usually baselines for a long time. He learned Gears and then Haki, these are two most notable strength increases. He was just base Luffy all the way until Water 7, being clever to overcome disadvantages (water luffy because when he got hooked through the chest he noticed his wet hand could grab Crocodile) was always just a part of his base strength.
If you mean overcoming a man in a hard fight, I agree with you. He doesn't need a new power up to beat an admiral though, he already has the tools.
I respectfully disagree. I think Luffy can win against Fujitora specifically. Not Kizaru or ex-Akainu. Admirals obviously don't have the exact same power. Their abilities and mastery of their fruits and Haki varies. That's why I think Luffy can beat Fujitora. Obviously it won't be easy and Luffy would probably be passed out at the end but I think, in a fair fight, with both parties at full health, Luffy can beat Fujitora. Not the Admirals. Just Fujitora.
And this is not yo say Fuji is a weak ass Admiral. It's just a favarouble match-up is all. Like how Luffy would get his ass kicked by Mr.1 and Zoro would probably instantly lose against Crocodile. The title "Admiral" holds some power but it all comes down to the person.
The fight was less than a fucking minute, when has Luffy ever thrown out ALL of his big time attacks right from the start of a fight. He was using Gear 3rd and 2nd at the same time and swapping between the two for the small length of the fight, so yet he was going fucking serious. He wasn't pitying him either, Luffy fucking said it himself, he didn't hate Fujitora, so he couldn't just fight a blind man, Luffy is too kind hearted to just do that, but he was still fighting seriously, fully intended to attack while revealing all his moves. Also >>133842082 Fuji is tossing Luffy around all over the place
>Tangibly holding back
What. Come on man thats bullshit and you know it. Luffy has never held back in a fight. Yes Fujitora was ready to cut Luffy's head off, but then Luffy made him laugh and broke his determination, then Luffy got taken out of the fight. Fujitora's whole part in Dressrosa showed he wasn't completely willing to kill Luffy, and the citizens running took whatever wind was left in his sails and he just lost all intent on taking Luffy out.
So whos character is a better mirror to luffys Kidd or Teach?
Kidd wants to be the pirate king, is relatively new to the grandline and hates people with no resolve
Teach wants to be the pirate king, strongly believes in dreams and seems to have alot of faith in his crew
No, not at all. Like Zoro says, they all grew after each Island. Luffy stuck in Buggy's cage does not have the same strength as Luffy who beat up Enel and Crocodile. Physically. They all grew strong. Kinda like +5ing strength after each fight. They don't look any different because it's a manga.
Fuji has to actually put in effort not to get hit.
The other admirals can take whatever attack as long as their haki > opponent.
It has more to do with DF type than personal strength,
>fuji is tossing Luffy around all over the place
Foxy made Luffy announce he was ready to die, knocked him all over the place, and only lost because a mirror shard got stuck in Luffy's afro.
Foxy was more of a threat than Issho in that exchange.
What. No, they have to dodge too. Haki strength doesn't have anything to do with Logia intangibility. If an Admiral takes a haki punch from anyone without dodging, they will get hit.
Yes and all of that growth has occurred, plus being specifically trained by Rayleigh and finishing his training half a year early, so he's presently strong enough to stand toe to toe with Fujitora, like he already did.
Any character Luffy has been able to stand toe to toe with, except Zoro, Luffy has defeated. Only characters who were immediately overwhelming were able to defeat him all story long.
Dude, no. Where the hell are you pulling this from ? If Luffy haki smashes into Akainu, he's going to get blown back, whether or not Akainu's haki is better. Hell, Logias have to be even more careful since their bodies are all over the place. They make holes jn their bodies to avoid Haki attacks. Aokiji and Akainu did this in Marineford. If they just stand there with their haki embued thumb up their ass, they'll get kicked in the face.
It's relevant because it's an example of how non threating Fujitora was, which ties into the argument that Luffy has only lost to opponents who were overwhelmingly stronger than him outright.
And he's beaten opponents who appeared overwhelming at first as well.
Fuji didn't appear threatening, the scene felt casual and lighthearted, it was a sharp contrast to all other admiral fights Luffy has had.
He's saying that magma is more of an advantage vs a rubber man than gravity. Both abilities can be used to restrict movement but the crushing effect of Gravity won't actually harm Luffy by itself whereas Magma will harm him if it touches him. Even if Luffy hits Akainu, it will probably hurt Luffy to do so, like against Magellan but even worse.
Also Akainu is a more experienced fighter than almost anyone now, having gone toe to toe with Whitebeard and Aokiji is not something that can be overlooked.
Also Fujitora is nice and unwilling to take cheap shots but Akainu gladly will.
Yeah, but still isn't a favorable match up, as I said, such a thing would be if Luffy had an advantage, not having one less disadvantage. Even if gravity doesn't harm Luffy, he can still be knocked around, his attacks could be rendered moot, and Fujitora can disable him and cut him.
Capone has a cool fruit when it comes to utility or clearing out Marines but against someone like Luffy its not a great fruit. Unless he's storing a super weapon in there.
He could sneak an entire crew of big mom pirates with him, which would be pretty cool
I think it's more likely that if Fujitora's gravity impaired Luffy, he'd use Gear 4 and it would immediately overpower the gravity just like it immediately snapped Doflamingo's strings.
I think you're taking the term very literally, anon. I'm not talking about the dictionary "favourable". I'm sayine one is better than the other. I probably am misusing the word like a prick but hopefully that makes sense.
And? If his limbs are pinned by gravity, he wont just be able to pull them back. How it he supposed to fight if every one of his attacks get crushed or knocked away before it touches Fuji?
Zoro was doing just fine before Fujitora ran away. I don't think Luffy would struggle much more than Zoro.
But it would make sense if Zoro defeated Fujitora, seeing as he's a strong swordsman.
Zoro broke his concentration, though, it wasn't random. Zoro slashed at him despite being gravitated. If Zoro could break out of the gravity it stands to reason that Luffy could too.
If Zoro could still attack while under the affect of gravity (which is exactly what he did), then Luffy could too.
>being pinned down by gravity
>being smothered in fucking magma
>being forced on the ground, not feeling pain or anythinh, just a force
>being covred in fucking magma, not being able to breathe, skin literally melting, smell of burning rubber to top it off
Wait, I have to apologize, the moment I was thinking about was Law being held down.
You are right about the Zoro moment.
However I will say, we don't know the extent of the gravity fruit, since Fuji has done far more destructive things than when he held Zoro down, so its very likely he could crank the gravity up even more.
I wouldn't call this "doing fine"
>Being unable to move, dodge properly, or have any of your attacks hit their target, while being at the complete mercy of a skill swordsman
Yeah, I'd say it's a pretty even toss up in terms of disadvantage
Nigga, I think you're underestimating what being covered in Magma feels like. Like, shit, the screams itself would cause trauma to people. If I had to pick a way to die, I'd pick gravity over magma, no competition.
He was jumping out of the whole after being pressed down by Gravity. Of course he wasn't going to be standing like a tree.
I'm not, because the effects of magma are irrelevant to the discussion. Yes, Akainu is a lot more dangerous, but the danger of Akainu doesn't invalidate how dangerous Fujitora is, especially to Luffy, because you people seem to be underestimating the shit Fuji could do against Luffy. Just because being crushed doesn't hurt Luffy, it doesn't just make gravity pointless in a fight
And? You said hes "doing fine" but it was the most physically stressed he's been since the time skip, which is saying a lot actually. Yes, bleeding doesn't really mean shit to Zoro, but come on, can you really say he was doing fine?
Bro, what the fuck are you on about ? No one said Luffy would have it easy against Fuji, for god's sake. No one said Fuji wasn't strong. No one said Gravity wouldn't be a problem. At the very least, I certainly didn't. Don't twist this shit against me.
Yes, he was doing fine compared to what he's been through. You think some fucking physical stress is comparable to fighting Mr. 1 ? Even Mr. 3 ? Enel ? Kaku ? Oars ? Kuma ?
Bear in mind, I'm not arguing who'd win here. I'm just saying that Zoro was pretty okay after that exchange.
The argument is "what is more favorable for Luffy, magma or gravity" and the answer is neither, and someone, not saying you, disagreed with that. Its like saying, whats more favorable for Luffy, being attacked by a blade or a spike, it's the same amount of danger, just from a different method. Magma will burn and smother and do all around nasty things to Luffy, but gravity would make Luffy's fighting style completely insufficient in a fight.
Yea, but Luffy won't have to scream in pain and get horribly disfigured and turned into a pile of goop with bones sticking out. Gravity seems like heaven. I mean, yea, they both suck but you definitely would rather pick one over the other.
Everyone remember to do your best to appreciate Penguin today!
I mean I get where you are coming from, but Luffy won't even be able to put a dent in Blackbeard without Gear 4, even with it it's farfetched that he'd be able to damage him enough before it wore off, even if Blackbeard just stood there and took hits, so I'm trying to think how Luffy could still have his ability against Blackbeard.
This has been joked about a lot
Trips to the dungeon for everyone
Also Thriller Bark was skipped with Brook joining before they got there permanently, everyone on Amazon Lily wears full length sweaters and Sadi and the Okama faction never existed
Reminder that Corasan learned how to deal with children with Garp.
And Blackbeard's pull is strong vs kiters and powerhouses alike. Ace was fast enough to stop Akainu's attack from hitting Luffy, Whitebeard was the strongest in the world.
It's a non avoidable pull.
So ? Teach has to literally grab you for your DF to be nullified. Otherwise, you can spam redhawks or gattlings while being pulled. And Teach really hasn't shown any feats of Speed yet. Ace just jumped in front of Luffy. Luffy, however, is quick as a motherfucker. Not to mention he might even be quicker by the time he fights Teach. Dealing enough damage is the problem here.
It's probably pointless to even bother speculating Blackbeard because by the time he and Luffy fight he'll be different just like Luffy has turned out to be
Who knows what kind of absurd things Blackbeard will have at his disposal
Sure, but this is a manga. We both know that Teach is going to let go off Luffy due to some reason or another. He simply won't grab Luffy and slit his throat. Something will happen and then Teach will stop using Kurozu for a while then he'll use it towards the end of a clash or whatever.
>He simply won't grab Luffy and slit his throat
Why would BB even do that, he's not DFless like Burgess.
Blackbeard holds you with Kurouzu on one hand and tanks your attack like Ace's fire spears, then Earthquakes you with the other. Luffy without his rubber takes enormous damage like Akainu.
You would need 300% better COA than an admiral to block (actually just deflect) quake with it.
To me getting hit by quake in a point attack seems a lot like a multiplied rokuogan.
Man, you gotta admit. Teach is kind of a badass sometimes. He wants to be Pirate King himself but supports his enemy's dreams as well. I wonder if we'll find out that he's doing this for the D. clan or something.
Yeaaa, I didn't know how to word it properly. Yea, Teach doesn't realky put off anyone from trying to do anything. He's kinda like Luffy in that regard. His dialogue about stuff like fate and deams and stuff always makes me like him as a character.
Whether or not it's the way we're supposed to experience One Piece, the coloured manga is actually quite nice.
It's too early to say. We've haven't seen Zoro go all out yet. I think pre-Enies Lobby Zoro and Luffy were completely equal. Then Luffy possibly was a bit above Zoro after Gear 2 and 3. Post-TS, it's just impossible to say with what we know.
Fair point. I still think they'd be equal. Zoro managed to stand up through sheer will power. He was knocked out for 3 days afterwards, which is usually how long Luffy passes out for after fights. Granted, Zoro still hadn't recovered fully even after 3 days but he doesn't have a Devil Fruit or get healing properties from eating Meat.
Because Luffy surpassed him.
>Pre-gear Luffy without haki surpassing a shichibukai who's mastered his LOGIA devil fruit after barely surviving getting his ass beat twice by throwing water at him
Plot armor at it's best.
tfw sanji is alive and all the sanji haters got BTFO
Crocodile was shit at fighting. He had his Logia abilities but sucked ass physically. Luffy is a battle maniac, there was no way he was going to lose to Crocodile in a melee fight.
And, of course, Crocodile just learned that everything he had been working for for like 3 decades lead to absolutely nothing.
No one seriously thought Sanji was dead, anon. Literally no one. Hurt ? Maybe. In danger ? Very likely. But no one in their right mind honestly thought Sanji died.
Post yfw when Sanji uses his new secret technique "domestic violence" and beats the shit out of any female that comes in his way
Anon, let's be real fucking honest here. The chances of Sanji dying were 0%. Off-screen, gone for a year, special bounty ? Boy, he must be dead then. I refuse to believe that any sane person truly believed that Sanji was dead. Even if you started reading at like chapter 796.
ten times stronger than a normal human. While a generic fishman could fuck up a generic human village any pirate worth any money could fuck up generic fishmen.
Daily reminder that Sanji haters will get btfo real soon
But, isn't "likelihood" the same ? If something is "likely" there's a higher "chance" of it. The probability of Sanji dying was 0. I guess chances aren't calculated in % but hey.
I like the way Luffy feels the need to keep BB in sight for as long as possible, even when he first met him in Bellamy's town. Its like how ou'd want to keep an eye on a particularly nasty grizzly.
Likelihood has meaning post hoc, chance doesn't. For example, if you flip a fair coin and it lands on heads then the chance of that coin toss coming up heads is 100% but the likelihood is 50%.
there are literal tears streaming down my face right now
i feel like such a little bitch
>Who was stronger, Pica or Vergo?
>I get the feeling Pica was more reliant on his fruit, while Vergo trained his haki more.
OK, I recently figured out quite possible explanation why Pica was the only one out of Dressrosa Top Executives that had Armament Hardening (Busoushoku Koka).
Donquixote Pirates were more often attacking cities and robbing banks/treasuries, where Pika's fruit is highly effective. On the other hand, on naval battle (which would be main area of battle right before Dofla became Shichibukai, as it was related to tax ships never managing to deliver money to Tenryuubito), Pica is completely useless, unlike Diamante or even Trebol. So obviously this would lead to Pica would try to compensate by practising BH to the level he could use full body Koka, and even then it's not his area of expertise, as he's not a physical fighter.
But yeah, Vergo is definitely stronger, superior Haki, superior physical abilities, Rokushiki to allow him to deal with giant Pica.
Zoro one-shotting Doflamingo's right hand man was the moment One Piece finally jumped the shark. Zoro, Luffy, and Sabo could've soloed the entire island outside of Doflamingo, Sugar, and Fujitora. All of the other characters were ultimately meaningless.
I didn't know that Zoro, Luffy and Sabo can clone themselves to be at multiple places at once. Wow.
>Franky #6 out of 9
>not wanting that bara cyborg clang clang clang
dafuq is wrong with all of you?
>Sabo? This is Hack.
Wow, Oda seriously went and wrote himself into the story just like that?
They wear it in the actual kabuki.
Shota Franky best Franky; would smash that bp.
>doesn't have a beard, let alone a white one
