literally why do they do this? It doesn't make it look better. or cuter. It's just lazy.
>oh shit I can't draw this complete line and have it look right I'll just draw two smaller lines and have the viewer use their imagination
I'm afraid you're the idiot, my friend.
Anime art styles are all about implying details anon. Is drawing the full shape like this really the correct choice for most series?
You call that a screenshot?
Is this better?
I really like that style, but it can be quite distinctive and too realistic for some series. Especially for female characters, nips like girls with tiny mouths.
Some people have trouble understanding anatomy.
Some people need to make up problems they can outdo to feel special.
Linework that varies in width and completely fades for small bursts is harder to do than mostly uniform lines... but that means it technically has a gap so it's lazy.
Look at this hack's artwork where Rem's profile doesn't even have complete lines. Why is Obata one of the laziest artists ever? I would draw those lines so I'm better. Somebody agree that I'm better.
>>I'll draw and shade most of a mouth, but that spot? Fuck you all, I'm taking the day off!
It'd be alright if the artist wasn't so lazy.
>Linework that varies in width and completely fades for small bursts is harder to do than mostly uniform lines
This so fucking much.
Varying line weight is much harder. Where to put it and how much weight to apply.
And then there's this dumb bitch... she's so lazy, she doesn't even bother lifting up her pen between letters so it's like they're stuck together. I hate people with style so much, they're so lazy.
